Chapter 6 - Chapter 3.5: Dinner with the family

On his path home, Viggo was thinking of what he would do to soul cultivate, as the path of desire his soul cultivation would hang entirely on Lust and satisfaction, hence why created a technique to fit that. To get that done, he had a few options: prostitutes, bitches, getting a girlfriend, going on a one-night stand, r*pe, or he could just buy the female fluids online. All possible choices, but Viggo decided that he should at least try to get into a relationship at least once, before exploring the other options.

He wanted to experience this existence aside from cultivation, that being one of the main reasons he put himself in this situation, to begin with, so the prospect of being in a relationship made sense to him, after all, it was a part of life.

Eventually, he got back home, immediately deactivating the ring, and as he got in, he found two of his sisters sitting on the couch in the living room, one of them using her phone and the other glued to a portable console playing some game. Looking to the side he could see his mother cooking in the kitchen.

"Oh, you're already back sweetie. It's good to finally see you moving around instead of staying shut in your room all day. So, how was it? Did you enjoy yourself?" She looked at Viggo and asked with a smile on her face. She had long red hair, and brown eyes, with a dark skin complexion; her face made her look a bit younger than she was, but there were still a few noticeable wrinkles if one were to pay attention.

"It was fine, nothing much happened, just went out to get some fresh air." Viggo calmly lied.

"That's good, you should use that good mood and spirit to go out more often, make some friends, and maybe even meet a girl... You know, you're at the age where you should have already brought a girl home at least once. We won't bite her if you do." His mother continued talking.

"I don't really have anyone right now, but maybe in the future. Anyway, how was your day, mom? Do you need any help?" Viggo walked to the kitchen as he said.

"You know, my day was the usual, doing chores then meeting with Vera and the girls, it's somehow still fresh. Well, at least better than staying home all day. Also, since when did you want to help me cook? You're really turning a new leaf aren't you?" Mother responded in high spirits, and Viggo proceeded to help her with what he could, but she didn't let him do much preferring to take care of most things herself.

This was followed by dinner time, his father got back home just in time before everyone was at the dinner table eating.

"Look Timur, Viggo went out today! And even helped me cook. It seems our son us finally taking his own steps." Mother enthusiastically retold.

"Oh, is that so? Did you finally get some sense into that head of yours?" Father questioned. He was a man with short green hair, the same complexion as Viggo, and a rather thin build.

"I was training my art style and I can make some pretty good drawings because of that work now, I just felt comfortable with it and decided to give other things some more time." Viggo answered as he new situation, after all, he still had his memories of his life on earth before remembering who he really was.

"Are you seriously still on that?! I've told you multiple times before, art is too volatile and will lead you nowhere! If you really want to survive, focus on engineering, economics, or medical studies, and once you are established, if you still feel the need for it, you can waste time on art then." Father expressed while shaking his head in disappointment.

"I've already got things planned out. As long as I can do what I'm thinking of, by next month I'll have a stable income." Viggo replied.

"... As long as you can do that, I won't pester you anymore, but if you can't, we'll do things my way. I know I might sound like a jerk to you right now, but I'm just worried about you and your future, life's hard and while it would be nice if you could follow your dreams, it's just not a realistic goal right now. Someday you'll understand and thank me for this." Father expressed his heartfelt concern.

"Yes sweetie, your father and I don't hate your dreams or art, but that's just not the world we live in, so please be understanding." Mother added.

"I know, I know. It's fine, I'll do things your way if it doesn't work out for me." Viggo calmly responded with a smile.

"Good, I hope you can be a man and live up to these words if things don't work out." Father nodded satisfied with Viggo's response.

"Great! Thank God this didn't end up in another argument, now then, girls, you've been unusually quiet today." Mother proceeded to change the focus.

"I just have nothing to say. Though I guess it's nice that this dufus got out of his crazy phase, took him long enough though." The eldest sister said with a look of disinterest. As her long green hair covered one of her blue eyes, and her complexion similar to mother's.

"You're all just forcing him to give up, even though he worked hard for 8 years now, to be good at this. What am I going to say?" The middle child between the sisters spoke. With her medium-sized hair, brown eyes, and her complexion similar to her older brother's.

"Yeah, that's super totally oppressing, that's literally psychological child abuse, and I'm sure he has so much trauma from all of this." The youngest child said with a serious expression and her arms crossed. She had short green hair, and yellowish eyes similar to Viggo's, adding to her complexion reminiscent of her elder sister's.

"Hera! Nessa! How could you such horrible things, about your parents?! Especially you, Nessa! You don't even understand what you're saying right now!" Mother was unsurprisingly dissatisfied with their words.

"Calm down, Meyline... Hahaha, kids these days just really say whatever, but your mother is right. You shouldn't just say such things before understanding what they imply, especially you, Nessa. Because of this, Hera, you'll be grounded for a week without your modern phone, you can take one of the reserve flip phones we have in the attic. Similarly, Nessa, you'll have to stay 3 weeks without your phone, just get one from the attic to use for the time being." He made it clear.

"What?! That's so unfair! And why does she only get a week?! She was the first one to say it!" Nessa couldn't quite take it well.

While Hera decided to stay quiet. The situation escalated and by the end, Hera was exempt from her punishment and Nessa ended up with 3 months without her phone. Then Viggo talked them into reducing it to only a month after she basically begged him to help her with puppy eyes.

Once that was over, Viggo went back to his room and lay on his bed with a small smile. "Family, huh... Pretty interesting."
