Chapter 025 Carrying Goods

Halvir and Anindira were together for almost twenty-four hours for three months. Therefore, it was difficult for Anindira to be separated from Halvir in a strange world. She was not ready at all. But Halvir's explanation made her not dare to express her fear of being left behind.

''I will give my three *Amber to the Village Chief because I will entrust you to him for two weeks. I can't take you. If I go alone, I can get some more prey on the way. Besides, it would be faster if I moved alone. If I take you with me, it will take two weeks to get to the Lion Kingdom, maybe even more... after I pay the sewing fee and put the materials there. I will go home soon and take you there to pick up the items I ordered.''

Halvir was still trying his best to comfort Anindira, who was still filled with feelings of disappointment.

''Ehm...'' Anindira nodded. Answering Halvir lazily, ''Okay,'' Anindira added with a sad face that hung down. Her appetite had also disappeared since she put down her food, ''Kak Halvir, why does it have to be with the Village Chief?''

Anindira felt anxious. She was afraid to hear the word village head. In her mind, it was an old man who was stiff and old-fashioned.

''Why not with Kak Hans?''

Anindira felt more comfortable with someone she already knew.

''Why Hans?'' Halvir asked with a serious face, ''So it's true, you really like him?''

Halvir's expression looked annoyed this time.

''Of course, I like him. He's good, and Kak Halvir trusts him.''

Anindira answered Halvir's statement seriously with her innocent mind. She was completely unaware of Halvir's jealousy.

''Even so. He still can't!'' Halvir answered firmly, ''Besides, he's not capable enough.''

''Is it that hard to take care of me?!''

''Stupid, that's not it!'' Halvir shouted, scolding Anindira gently, ''Hans is still single. That's the reason. While the Village Chief already has a mate. Besides, he is also ranked *Amethyst. There is Ruvi who will help him, therefore the Village Chief has two points higher than Hans to protect you.''

Halvir explained his reasons. But, unfortunately, Anindira didn't understand.

''Hans is only a *Diamond. He doesn't have enough ability to protect you. Some too many single young men are ranked higher.''

Halvir added his explanation to Anindira again, but unfortunately, Anindira still didn't understand why ranking was important just to protect a woman who only ate a little like herself.

''Hmm...?'' Anindira frowned because she was not satisfied with Halvir's answer, ''Does it have to be like that?'' Anindira asked, answered with a serious nod from Halvir, ''Okay, whatever you want. I'll obey if that can make Kak Halvir calm.''

Anindira gave in. She was forced to accept the situation.

''The Village Chief has a daughter, who is the same age as you,'' Halvir said after lowering Anindira from his lap.

''Really?!''

Anindira asked with the hope in her heart that at least she would have someone to talk to rather than have to deal with an old-fashioned old man.

''Um...'' Halvir nodded while smiling, answering Anindira, ''You can be friends with her.''

Halvir smiled on seeing Anindira's smile starting to appear.

After eating and cleaning up, they immediately went upstairs and then chose several pieces of cloth made of animal skin. Halvir chose the best of all the clothes he had stored. There were hundreds of pieces of animal skin that had been tanned in his storage box.

''The thin animal skin will be your summer clothes. The thickest one will be your winter clothes. I will take it. Leave some for blankets, and sleeping mats!''

Halvir unpacked three large boxes and took out pieces of cloth that he almost never used.

The animal skin cloth that Halvir owned was collected years ago. From the many hunted animals, he only chose large ones to skin and then tan. He only chose the best to keep.

For more than thirty years, there were at least twenty pieces that he tanned in one summer period. Of course, now his collection has reached more than five hundred pieces. A lot for a man without women. Therefore, more became fossils because they were untouched for years in the box.

''Seriously, how are you going to carry this much stuff?!''

Anindira complained with wide eyes as she saw the pile of fabrics that had been selected and chosen towering high.

''I'm thinking about it...'' Halvir replied casually.

''Kak Halvir, let's sort it out again. Reduce the amount, you can't possibly carry this much stuff alone!''

''No, just leave it alone!'' Halvir replied firmly with full confidence.

''But, Kak Halvir...''

''Dira, you need it. I won't reduce it...''

''Thank you. I understand how much you care about me. For now, as long as there are one or two, that's enough... Don't you want to take me there? We can take the rest then...''

''It's okay, no need to wait until later!'' Halvir exclaimed with a grinning face, his eyes sparkling slyly, ''Hans will take them!''

''It turns out that Kak Halvir has plans to go with Kak Hans.''

''No!'' Halvir exclaimed, raising his eyebrows while looking at Anindira, ''Just thought of it.''

Anindira's face looked pouting in response to Halvir.

''It turns out there are too many,'' Halvir replied to Anindira's reaction.

''Of course, that is, Kak Halvir!'' Anindira replied a little annoyed, ''Even if Kak Halvir goes with Kak Hans. It's still impossible to take so many things.''

''If I go with Hans, everything will be carried.''

''Kak Halvir...'' called Anindira with probing eyes looking at Halvir, ''Kak Halvir isn't bullying Kak Hans, right?!''

''What do you mean?''

''Are you misinterpreting what I said about humans not being able to live alone?!''

''Dira, what do you want to say?!''

''Kak Halvir, I know you're strong, but that doesn't mean you can... *colonize... other people!''

Anindira paused for a moment because she didn't know how to say it in the Beastman's language.

''I don't know what you said, but I feel like it has a bad meaning. And it's directed at me...''

''Yes,'' answered Anindira firmly. She was very brave to look at Halvir even though she was criticizing him, ''For you. And that's right, the meaning is bad...''

Halvir didn't understand the word *colonize* that Anindira said.

Anindira also didn't know how to pronounce *menjajah in the language of the savage world. As a result, she mixed them up in one sentence.

''Do you mean I'm going to do something bad to Hans?''

''Then, what else?! You'll tell Kak Hans to bring all this for you.''

''Of course. I told you earlier. Hans will bring it....''

''You can't be like that! Even if Kak Hans wants to, it's because he's forced to...''

''Why forced to?! He won't be like that. He can refuse if he doesn't want to. But I'm sure he won't refuse me...''

''Kak Halvir is mean! I don't like Kak Halvir who likes to force his will on others...''

''Why should I force my will?! Especially on Hans. Even so, Hans was not someone who would just follow other people's words.''

''Then how can Kak Hans carry that much stuff alone?!''

''With a cart...''

''Ha... what?... G-ge... ge-what?''

''Cart...''

''What's that?''

The cart was a new word for Anindira. With a red face holding back the shame of having suspected Halvir badly, she accepted the explanation about what a cart was.

''Hans has a cart because he often uses it for various purposes, mainly medical purposes. In the Lion Kingdom, many herbivores sell various medical supplies. That's why I know Hans won't mind going with me.''

''Owh,'' Anindira answered briefly because she was too embarrassed to reply to Halvir's words because she had misunderstood him.
