Julian lay on her bed with a smile on her face. She recalled how she spent her lockdown. "Why are you smiling? . She asked herself. "Silly". She hit her head lightly. She was so lost in her own world that she didn't realise that Emma had entered her room.
Emma looked at her for a while before speaking
"Who are you thinking about?" Emma asked.
"Alfred". Julian unconsciously answered still smiling with her eyes closed. Emma realized that she was in her dream world, if not she wouldn't have answered so casually so, she decided to drill more into before Julian realizes herself.
"Oh, do you like him?"
"I don't, I'm just getting to know him"
"Getting to know him huh?.. and you spent your lockdown with?"
"Him"
"And that's why you ditched me". Emma said. Julian quickly opened her eyes realizing that she wasn't discussing with the voice inside her head.
"Emma, you're here". She quickly sat up.
"Welcome back". Emma sat beside her.
"I didn't know when you arrived'".
"I know you didn't."
"Sorry".....
"I know he's your boyfriend now but still, let me know next time before you ditch me".
"I tried to tell you but..." She paused.
"But what?"
"It didn't go through"
"What didn't go through?".
"You're phone"
"You're such a terrible liar"
"Fine, fine. I don't know how it happened but I didn't mean to ditch you I swear". She explained how she got trapped to Emma.
"It's okay. I'll forgive you on one condition"
"Which is?"
"Tell me every single thing that happened, don't leave any details behind." Julian felt embarrassed, she didn't want to tell her everything especially not the mensuration incident. Emma was her best friend she
knew she could trust her. So, She told her everything
"Ohhhh. That's so....You didn't kiss him" Julian hit her with a pillow
"Why should I?" she asked shyly.
"Why shouldn't you.."
*2days later*
Alfred and his friends were sitting under a large willow tree in the garden. Few people could be seen walking around the perimeter.
'I'm bored". Alfred said.
"Yea". Ethan agreed
"Today is too boring". Jeff added.
"I have an idea, we will play a game". Lian said
"Truth or dare?" Ethan asked and he nodded
"With you three, boring". Jeff scoffed.
"Listen, I wasn't done talking. Alfred will invite his girlfriend and her friends. Ethan will invite his girl, Jeff don't bother."
"Hey!". Jeff shouted.
"If I asked you to invite someone it's an insult." Jeff just looked at him expressionlessly. "Sorry, please invite your girlfriend".
"How's that". Lian asked
"Good idea". Ethan chirped smiling at Lian. "There's only one flaw". Ethan commented
"Don't push it". Lian yelled.
"You don't have a girlfriend, who are you going to invite" Jeff mocked.
"Shut up". Lian scolded
"Seriously, you guys pressured me to get a girlfriend but he doesn't have one". Alfred spoke.
"Calm down boy. We all know I'm straight. I'm just not good at handling girls. Their mood swings and stuffs." Lian defended
"Hmmm."
"Come on guys, let's plan this well". Ethan said. "I do like your idea".
"Tell them to come to Alfred's room'". Lian replied
"Why my room"
"Just shut up. We'll get some snacks ready".
"Who are we". They chorused
"Calm down. All of us." Lian said. "It will be fun I promise".
