Chapter 64 - Chapter 64: Memory

After knocking out the two dragons, Darius proceeded to tell me what he witness from the fight that he started watching from the middle of it.

.

.

.

As Darius flew up as it was no longer safe below, he witnessed a legendary battle between two individuals who holds the title as the strongest and most powerful.

"HAHAHAHAHA!!!"

The two who he could barely see as they exchanged blows too fast for him to see clearly, the echoes of laughter was heard throughout the raging storm.

Numerous blood whips that would suddenly grew spikes on them from Payne as he attacks with his body.

Countless condensed magic missiles were casted as the dragon king countered the physical attacks from Payne with his own techniques.

"Hah!"

With each strike, a shockwave was generated from the force alone as explosions continue.

"HAHAHAHAHA!!!"

The two were happy.

However, such a thing wouldn't last long.

As the two continued on fighting for three days and three nights nonstop, the both started to feel fatigue from the amount of energy they keep on releasing every second.

"Haa... haaa..."

As their regenerative ability is extremely high for beings with noble blood and individuals blessed by mana.

"Hooo...."

The output they make was even higher.

"For a weak race, I am surprise that regenerating a limb was possible"

The Dragon king said as he witness Payne who already lost his left arm and left foot returned back from the visvous liquid his body secreted.

"Though I am of noble blood, I am not a full vampire. I am a vampiric slime"

Payne replied as he looked upon the Dragon king who already lost too much blood from the hole in his stomach and was only surviving through the use of the remaining mana he has left.

"I see. You are the servant of the Goddess of all Bitches. It all makes sense now"

The Dragon king looked up to the torrenting sky as he saw his life flashing in his eyes.

"I'm not really the type to keep up with such things so I will finish this now"

"Go ahead. I lost fair and square after all"

"You were amazing. Despite being affected with my blood, you were the first one to ever resisted it"

"You too. You were the first one to ever survive my skill "

As Payne unleashed the remaining mana from his body, the two quickly turned around as they felt mana gathering from somewhere else.

".....?!"

It was Darius who started to be driven into madness from the vengeful emotions of the souls he extracted.

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing.

A defeaning sound was made as he released his breath.

""

Using his last daily use of the skill he inhereted from Mel, Payne absorbed the beam coming from Darius, saving himself and the King.

"What is wrong with you?! Who do you think you are to interfere on my fight, you brat!!!"

As Payne cursed Darius, Darius' clone from the opposite side fired another breath that they weren't able to sense due to the high and erratic mana in the air.

Just before it hit Payne, he released the breath he just absorbed, offsetting the breath from the clone.

"Ack!"

As his exhausted body could not take the recoil, Payne's body was propelled backwards from the shockwave and the Dragon King died from getting disentigrated into nothingness.

"RROOOOOOAAAAAR!!!"

With a roar as if he achieve something amazing, Darius howled and laughed and continued on chasing the remaining dragons and killing them and destroying the remaining of the kingdom.

Through dumb luck, the draconian warrior champion that Darius brought with him and the dragon princess was near where Payne was blasted off to.

.

.

.

Despite losing his control over his body, he was able to remember everything while his body was being controlled by the negative emotions from those he have killed.

And that the remaining survivors here in the Dragon kingdom, which used to have 279 dragons before Payne and Darius arrived, is now 18 and one egg.

And other than the dragon prince, the rest are either children or the elderly which will make it hard for them to adapt in a new environment.

"Hey, my new slave. If I have a place where these lizards can eat chimeras, will you let them live there?"

[The God of Dragons happily says "Of course!!!"]

With the confirmation from her new slave, Mel ordered Darius to gather the remaining dragons as she will wander around.

"Now that I have absorbed the mana around us, the storms generated by it have disappeared. Also, make sure not to hurt any of them, got that?"

"I do, your grace!!!"

As I spreaded my divinity to act as a radar, which was painful, one thing caught my attention.

Inside the tower that is somehow still intact from all of the fight and the storm that happened, the interior was as if nothing happened at all.

Unlike from the outside that looked like some deserted ruins, the inside was like my palace but flashier from all the crushed gemstones emmbed onto the walls and the ceiling.

- A treasure chest!

"Yes, it is a treasure chest" I said as I opened the treasure chest which was the source of the weird familiarity after spreading my divinity.

[You are now holding the artifact ]

"Sweet, another one. Then-"

TING!

[The system offers the player a proposal]

"A... proposal?"

[The rewards that has not been given yet will become one]

[If you use that artifact as a catalyst along with the previous rewards that should have been given to you, you will receive a fragmented memory]

"....."

I already knew that I reincarnated into a place where all kinds of things can appear without my knowledge.

[The system is waiting for your answer]

But if it is going as far as to make me sacrifice an artifact that I can use to reincarnate an ancient deity as well as my rewards from earlier, it just means that the memory I will receive worths that much.

"Alright. I accept it"

The earrings disappeared from my hand as petals of all kinds started to flew around me.

[The memory, will now be given to you]

[Good luck]
