The final reward revealed itself as the Random Magic Tool Token. Damian learned that this token held the potential to provide him with various magical tools or equipment. What made it even more intriguing was that it wasn't confined to the boundaries of his current world; it could yield magical items from other stories and universes.
The element of chance played a significant role in determining the kind of items he would receive. While there was a possibility of acquiring powerful artifacts like the Elder Wand or the Invisibility Cloak from the Harry Potter series, the likelihood of obtaining more commonplace items such as a Spell-Checking Quill or a Remembrall was equally plausible. Or it could be something from an unknown universe. The whims of luck would dictate the outcome.
With a hopeful gaze, he activated the reward, uncertain of what mystical artefact might manifest before him.
As the radiant glow of magic appeared, an ethereal presence seemed to whisper arcane secrets. In the midst of the magical aura, a crystalline object materialized, gleaming with an otherworldly brilliance. Damian reached out to grasp the object, discovering it to be a radiant gem pulsating with earthy energies.
The System echoed, providing insights into the nature of this magical creation – the Golemheart Crystal. Damian listened attentively as the System revealed the crystal's mystical properties, allowing him to shape and command stone elementals for various purposes, notably in mining and construction.
His grey eyes sparkled with intrigue as he absorbed the details. The crystal, a conduit to the elemental forces of the earth, could breathe life into inanimate stones. Damian envisioned the potential – a legion of stone beings, strong and tireless, to aid him in his quest for supremacy over the Iron Islands and the rest of the world.
"Elemental Animation... Ore Affinity... Enhanced Strength..." Damian muttered to himself, contemplating the possibilities. The crystal, it seemed, held the key to unlocking a workforce of stone entities tailored for efficient mining, each imbued with the strength to tear through rock and soil.
As he delved deeper into the System's explanation, Damian discovered the crystal's capacity for more intricate tasks – forming guardian-like stone elementals for protection during mining operations. The notion of these magical constructs simultaneously serving as miners and sentinels fascinated him.
"Remote Control... Elemental Mastery..." Damian murmured, recognizing the strategic advantage of telepathic control and the potential for advanced, specialized stone entities. The crystal, a conduit of mastery over the earth's essence, promised a profound transformation in his approach to mining.
With a thoughtful gaze, Damian weighed the benefits of the Golemheart Crystal against the potential challenges. He foresaw a future where these stone elementals, under his command, would shape the landscape of the Iron Islands. The prospect of uncovering hidden mineral veins and constructing subterranean fortifications appealed to his strategic mind.
The Golemheart Crystal, despite its formidable capabilities, carried its own set of limitations that Damian couldn't overlook. As he examined the radiant gem, the System's voice echoed cautionary notes.
"Energy Depletion... Limited Lifespan... Max 100 Golems ," the System intoned, revealing the vulnerabilities of this magical tool.
Damian's brows furrowed as he absorbed the information. The crystal, it appeared, drew upon a finite well of magical energy to animate the stone constructs. Prolonged use could result in energy depletion, rendering the crystal dormant until it recharged. This limitation meant Damian needed to manage its application to avoid exhausting its mana reservoir judiciously.
The notion of a limited lifespan for the stone elementals also gave Damian pause. Each construct, brought to life by the Golemheart Crystal, would only persist for a predetermined duration. This meant periodic reanimation or, in some cases, the creation of new constructs.
In the quiet expanse of the space world, Damian sought to test the potential of the Golemheart Crystal. Activating the crystal with a focused intent, he watched as it hummed to life, emitting a vibrant beam of light that cascaded onto the ground before him. The air tingled with magical energy as the crystal's power stirred the soil beneath.
Gradually, the earth began to shift and transform, taking on the formidable shape of humanoid figures. Massive stones rearranged themselves, crafting imposing stone constructs that stood tall and silent in the space world. Damian observed the manifestation with a mix of awe and anticipation.
As the stone elementals took form, their features intricately detailed and their presence imposing as they were twelve feet tall and three feet wide, Damian contemplated the possibilities that this newfound magical artefact could offer.
However, Damian couldn't dismiss the warning of energy depletion. The crystal's radiant glow dimmed slightly, signalling the expenditure of a portion of its magical reserves. The finite well of mana within the crystal acted as a stark reminder – an acknowledgement that an endless summoning of stone constructs came with consequences.
Damian used up all the energy inside the crystal and summoned a total of 24 humongous Earth Golems. And by the looks of it, the crystal would take seven days to recharge back fully. Damian tried injecting his own mana but even after emptying half of his reservoir, it only recharged one to two per cent. That shows how much mana is required to summon these golems.
"Never mind, they are still useful," Damian contemplated, his eyes fixed on the stone golems. "The Iron Islands are filled with valuable ores like iron. I can put them to work in the mines which are especially dangerous. If the system is right, then a single golem can do the work of a hundred humans, and that too without stopping. I still have to see how quickly they lose their energy before I need to recharge them again or maybe summon them."
With a decisive command, he initiated another directive, sending the stone constructs into a dormant state to conserve their mana—a practical consideration in managing the crystal's magical reservoir.
Now there was still one more thing to do and that was to use his special attribute point in upgrading his warging ability or unlocking Greenseer abilities.
