Bodies of the enemy soldiers that were hit fell down on the deck either dead or grievously wounded. The first volley took out at least thirteen to sixteen men, which was half the amount that Sirius had counted. The rest stepped back in fear or rolled forward and hid behind the railings to save themselves.
The Lord's relative managed to come out alive because he was standing near the mast where the prisoners were bound. He stumbled back in haste and fell on his butt during the sudden attack and seeing that some were aiming at him, he immediately crawled to find safety behind the mast.
The second volley killed only a single man and slightly injured another one.
On the third volley, the Ironborn managed to gather some of their wits back and fought back by firing their own which accounted for only four arrows as none of the other survivors had a bow with them or a long-range weapon within their reach.
Two of the archers were soon put down when they showed their heads again, stopping the last two from risking their lives anymore.
"Put down your weapons and surrender or I will shoot every last one of you!" Damian shouted after seeing that none dared to show their heads anymore.
After some seconds passed away, a few shouted back that they would surrender and slowly raised their hands and came out of hiding and into the open.
Seeing that they were heavily outnumbered, and the enemy could board their ship easily, the rest of the Ironborn finally threw down their weapons though some still remained stubborn and shouted that they would not surrender to some Greenlander. The relative of the Ironborn Lord wasn't one of them, he was one of the first to throw away his sword, making it known that he had surrendered, though the coward still remained behind the mast.
"Make your companion surrender or I will not spare any one of you," Damian shouted again. Even though the number of those persistent Ironborn was less than six or five, he still didn't want to take any chances.
The surrendered Ironborn did as they were told and overwhelmed the resistant ones and finally, all stood in one line with their hands in the air.
"Good! Now we will board the ship. Anyone, that dares to move will be shot in the head." Damian gave a last threat before asking his men to cross over and take command of his new ship.
Just after Damian crossed over with the help of a wooden ramp, he heard a notification in is ears and soon saw the screen.

"Jehahahaha" Damian suddenly broke into menacing laughter, which scared the living shit out of Jory and the men who were standing beside him. The captured Ironborn too shivered in fear at hearing that devilish laugh. For a single moment, they thought this was it and the next order from the young man would be to kill them all.
Thankfully, their fear didn't come to pass and they weren't sent to see their Drowned god. Though Damian did give the order to release the Ironborn prisoners and gave them the free reign to beat their captors within an inch of their life. The Lord's relative, who turned out to be the son, wasn't given the same treatment as Damian could ransom him for some gold but he still got some deserved thrashing.
The people that the Ironborn had captured were locals of Cape Eagle, and they requested to be brought back to their land. Damian thought for a moment and accepted their request. He could afford to take this trip and it would only take him a couple of hours. He looked at the grateful smallfolk and gained some satisfaction in their jovial faces. He knew that his reputation would only grow with each successful battle and occasional deed of rescuing people from slavery.
As the ships changed the direction to Cape Eagle, Damian went back into the security of his cabin and his Falcon, Ace came back to rest at the top of the Ship's mast.
In the Space World, Damian checked out his rewards again.
Damian immediately used both his Free points to increase his Dexterity.
The sensation of power coursed through his veins as he smiled in satisfaction.
Next, Damian looked at his status to see the changes.

"I would need better endurance, agility and reaction speed if I want to have more chance at coming out alive. unfortunately, I only have two points. Endurance is high enough, and strength does not matter much I have good sword skill and Dexterity. I hope so." Damian murmured to himself about his decision.
Damian turned his eyes to Mana and was happy to see it increase by two points. That means he will have more mana reserve in his body and use the spells in his possession that required a large amount of mana. Damian will be able to stay in the mind of his companion for a longer time. These two points have approximately doubled his mana reserve. Each point in Mana should increase his reserve by fifty per cent in the future.
Next, Damian checked out the Random Skill Book. From its description, he found that the reward item would give him a random skill ranging from weapon skills like Archery to miscellaneous everyday skills like cooking with varying degrees of instant mastery.
"Let's see what I get," Damian rubbed his hands together and prayed to whichever god that was listening to him and used to the item.

[ You get Advance Mastery of the skill 'Jousting'. Congratulation!]
"Wow!" Damian felt the rush of knowledge in his head about Jousting and after it ended, he felt like he could defeat most of the experienced Knights at the game. The skill wasn't just useful for the game, it even made him better with a Lance which he could use in the real battlefield to kill his enemy with ease.
"A must-have skill for a knight who likes to participate in a tourney. I hope it comes in handy in the future and wins me some money." Damian thought out loud.
