At the library I was looking at the job listings and there really weren't any. I didn't need a job. As I have money. I have my savings and inheritance from my grandmother. Which is the money that my mother gave me. In the lock box. I didn't find a job ad, but I found a rental ad. The ad said: FOR RENT/OPTION TO BUY: 2 BEDROOM 2 BATHROOM CABIN ALONG THE BEACH, KITCHEN, LIBRARY, OFFICE, DINING ROOM AND LAUNDRY ROOM, WITH PARKING. CALLING LEON AT 547-552-1148. I decided that I was going to give him a call about the rental listing.
I had to make roots and ground myself in one place. Maybe even become a member to a pack if I can. I don't want to be a rogue anymore. I don't like the feeling that I am being watched all the time. Whether I am driving down the road or walking down the street or in the woods and it feels like there is some one behind me. But there isn't when I look. Maybe I am being just paranoid. I was in the diner the other day eating and I saw a man in the one booth, and he was with another man and was like I was being stared at. When I was walking around town the one guy who was with them was following me into every place that I went, and it kept creping me out. I know it is because I am a rogue in this werewolf town. So, I should try and find out who the Alpha is and contact him and see if I can fine permanent residence here.
Braxton
Everywhere I go into town the smell of champagne and vanilla is so strong. My mate must be here from that other pact. I wish I could find her. But it seems that we keep missing each other. I am sitting in my office at the pack house when my brother Beta Sawyer come in.
"Hey Alpha Braxton" he says to me.
"Sawyer, you're my brother you don't have to use my title. We have gone over this. But what's up?"
"One of the warriors caught sighting of a rogue wolf. But says that her scent was off." He tells me.
"What do you mean off?" I asked.
"He mentioned that something was wrong with her, he could sense that she was a she-wolf, but her wolf wasn't present. He thinks she lost her wolf." Sawyer says.
"That's horrible, where was she when he spotted her?" I asked Sawyer.
"In the woods near the lake." He mentioned and just looked at me.
"Lake Silver Stone? That is on the pack lands. Who is this rogue anyways?" I asked him.
"We don't know, but she arrived in the area a few weeks ago." He mentioned and then walked over to the window. "Has any packs reached out to about a missing girl?" he asked.
"Well, is she looking for a place to stay? Is she a threat? No one has reached out to me about anyone missing." I told him.
"Ok well we will keep an eye on her and if we find her, we will bring her to you Braxton. You can speak with her and decide for yourself." Sawyer tells me. I nod.
"Thank you." I tell him.
"You're welcome" he tells me and then he leaves my office.
My wolf Ari tells me, our mate is close to us, closer than you think. I tell him Ari your crazy. She isn't here. Yes, I have smelled her in town. But that was days ago. She is long gone by now. She isn't coming back. Face it, we are meant to be mate less. Are tells me You are a fool; she is here in town I can feel it and you will meet her soon. I just know it, have faith. I didn't want to argue with my wolf anymore. My wolf blocks me for the time being. I hate arguing with him about anything. But we first smelled put mate four months ago in Red Eclipse Pack, and now she has been here for a while, and it is driving us crazy because we can't seem to find her anywhere.
Nova
I broke down and decided to call the number for the cabin for rent. Worse case, they tell me that it isn't for rent anymore. So, I decided to take my chances. I had to take a risk. That's what life it about now risks. I dialed the number, and it rang two times before a guy answered the phone.
"Hello this is Leon," said Leon.
"Hello this is Nova, and I am calling about your ad, for the cabin for rent and I was wondering if it was still available for rent and if it was if I could look at it?" I asked
"Yes, it is available, if you want to see it, I can meet you there at 55 Angel Lane in about 20 Minutes." He said.
"That would be perfect. I great appreciate it." I told him.
"It is no problem at all misses, I will see you shorty." He tells me.
We both said our goodbyes and hung up the phone. For some reason I have a good feeling about meeting this guy and looking at this cabin. I don't know why. I just do. Maybe something good will come out of all the bad luck I have been given lately.
Leon
I was sitting in my office at the diner going over the payroll books when I got that phone call from Nova. Nora rushed into my office looking flushed and I say that she had another one of her visons. As she can see the future. She saw Nova and that she is the mate of our Alpha. I knew that we had to help her out. I could tell the tone of her voice that she needed it. We left the dinner and drove over to the cabin. We decided to sell it as we have our family home, as well as stay at the pack house. So, we no longer need the cabin. We arrive to see a blonde lady, standing outside of a jeep avalanche.
"Nora is that her from your vison?" I asked her.
"Yes, that is her." she answered. We got out of our car and walked over to her.
"Hello, I am Nora Finlay, and this is Leon Finlay. My husband said you wanted to look at the cabin?" Nora said to Nova.
"Yes, I do but are your both- "I interrupted her.
"Werewolves? Yes, we are, so are you. But I can tell your wolf is there just she is hiding. She will come back" Leon tells her.
"Really, she will?" I asked
"Yes, she will once she heals from the trauma that you endured." They said. Without thinking, she reached out and hugged Nora and then hugged Leon. I mink-linked Nora.
J: Is she the one from your vison from the Red Eclipse Pack
N: Yes, it is her. She is the one.
"I am so sorry I shouldn't have done that." Nova said to them.
"Come on let go inside Nova, and its ok. I can see things. My wife can see future events sometime. But I can see the past. When you hugged me, I saw the rejection and banishment. I will put in a good word to our Alpha for you." I told her.
"Why would you do that? You don't know me?" she asked them.
"I see in our future we will be best of friends." Nora says to me as she hugged me.
"Thank you both, it means a lot to me." I said to them. I toured the house, there is a master bedroom with a walk in closed and its own bathroom. There is a second bedroom upstairs. The library is also upstairs. Downstairs has the dining room, eat in kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, study, and living room. Plus, there is garage. This is more of a house then a cabin. But I love it." She speaks.
"So, Nova what do you think? Nora asked me. I looked at her with a shocked looked on my face.
"This is not a cabin; it is a house. It is stunning, I absolutely love it." She told them both and they both laughed.
"So, we are going to give the cabin to you. Nova, you have been through enough pain and suffering. If you want, you can put money into redecorating the cabin to how its suites your personality." I tell Nova.
"Oh, my goodness you guys didn't have to that. But appreciate it and means so much to me. More than you even realize." Nova tells them and then she gives them a hug.
"No, Nova we didn't have to do that. But we wanted to do it. We have our family home and a spot at the pack house when we need it. We haven't stayed here in over a year or so now. Would be nice if someone got to use this place." Nora said to Nova.
"I am so thankful that I met you both today and I greatly appreciate the cabin. I mean a lot to me. I have been staying at the Ashville Bed and Breakfast for the last few weeks that I have been in town." She told them.
"Say no more, you get your things and move in right away. I'll get the cabin deed transferred right over to you and here are the keys to the cabin." He told her am gave her a hug.
"Beside I built this cabin about five years ago. It is nothing for me to throw plans together and build something. It's another passion of mine. Most of the homes on the lake and newer pack houses I have either built or remodeled." He told her.
"Wow, you do that and have the dinner?" she asked.
"Plus, we are both the head warriors of the pack to." Nora said.
'Wow, I am impressed." She said
"We need to head back to the diner. Stop in sometime. Its Finlay's Family Diner. You eat for free your family now." Nora tells Nova and she hugs her.
'Family, I like the sound of that. Siblings like I hope?" she said as they laughed.
"Of course, see you later" we said and walked towards to our car. We all said our goodbyes and then we left to head back to the dinner.
"Nora, drop me off at the clearing, I will shift and head to the pack house. I need to talk to Alpha Braxton. This isn't something to mind like him about." I said.
"I agree Leon, be safe I love you" I said, and I kissed my mate.
"I love you to dear" she told him right after he kissed her. She dripped him off at the clearing and then she headed to the restaurant.
I shifted and ran through the forest. I shifted just at the edge of the forest and then walked up to the pack house. I walked into the pack house; I saw Alpha Braxton walking out of his office. Then all of a sudden, he pushed me into a wall.
"What the hell Braxton?" I said to him.
"That scent where is it coming from? Braxton says.
"The girl who bought the cabin. Your father already transferred the deed for me. Since you were in a meeting." I tell him.
"Who is she?" Braxton asked.
"Braxton, can we go in your office and talk?" I asked him and he nodded. We go in his office, and we sit done.
"Now tell me who is this girl?" he asked.
"Nora says in her vision that she is your mate." I tell him.
"That smell, my wolf is telling me it is my mate's smell. And we have been smelling it for two weeks and can't find those to whom it belongs. Its driving Ari crazy." He tells me.
"She was rejected by her first mate and banished by her pack. But there is something else." I tell him.
"What is it?" he asked.
"True mates, have you heard of it?
"Yes, everyone gets their true mate, Leon."
"That is correct, Like Nora is mine, Rory is Sawyers. Nova is yours and you are Nova's. Jordan wasn't Nova's true mate."
"She has been here for two weeks, and I haven't even met her yet. This is driving me crazy." He said to me.
"Well, she is a she-wolf, her father is an alpha, but her wolf is hiding because of everything. Her wolf will come back. Nora sees it. Just give her time." I tell him.
"I will give her all the time she needs, Thanks Leon."
Nova
I was headed to town when I stared to get this horrible headache. I didn't think anything of it. So, I continued on driving. I made it to the Home Depot, and I bought the honest blue and white paint for the kitchen. I also got the candy apple red paint for the master bedroom. I even got the macadamia beige color for the living room I wasn't planning on changing the color of either bathroom, study, library, second bedroom, or laundry room. Because I like those colors. I got the supplies that I needed as well. Then I headed over to the bed and breakfast and got my things and checked out and headed over to the cabin and dropped things off.
I have been painting the kitchen and living room got it finished about thirty minutes ago. It looks amazing. I have the bedroom started and decided to take a break and get something to eat. I made a sandwich and got a Pepsi. I ate on the deck of the cabin. The breeze felt great, but still felt like I was being watched. Hopefully soon that will stop. I went back inside and finished the bedroom. I went and took a shower and put on a tank top and shorts.

It has been two-whole months since I have moved here. I have the cabin all done down and it looks great. I love it. I have been enjoying my time down by the beach most days. Nora, Leon, and I get together for dinner once a week. They have become my best friends and they are my family now. I am so glad that I have had them these past few months. Nora keeps telling me that she feels Zoe coming back soon. I hope she is right; I miss her. I have been feeling her lately, but when I ask Zoe is she is there, she doesn't answer me.
It was a nice evening one night and I decided to walk along the lake, and I decided to take a walk in the forest. As, I started to not feel right. My head was killing me, pain was shooting down my back and it caused me to collapse. I feel my bones, cracking, snapping and I was shifting. I remember screaming in pain and I saw spots, and everything went black. Next thing I know I see paws. I had silver paws. I decided to run for a little bit. I walked up to the lake and looked at my reflection. I was Black with a little silver strip of fur on my head and silver on my paws. I was beautiful. I laid down because I didn't know how to shift back.
I heard a twig nap and then another nap. I turned my head. I saw three wolves. One brown, one grey and one grey and white. Then one guy about 6'2 with blonde hair who was cute came out from behind the tree he just looked at me.
"What are you doing on our land rouge?" he said to me. I couldn't answer him I didn't know how. I just shook my head. He knelt and looked at me.
"If you don't answer me, I can't help you" he says. I bowed down in submission to him.
"Wait, Beta I don't think she can answer you." Gemma Ryder says.
"Gemma Ryder, are you saying this is a new wolf?" The beta asked him.
"Yes, I am, smell her scent. She doesn't smell like a rogue either. I smell vanilla." Ryder says
"I smell champagne." Delta Max says.
"You guys are both right, I think she just turned." Beta Sawyer said.
