Roberta was laying on the bed in her room, her legs were raised up swinging side to side. Before her was her textbook. She really wants to go to college and have been reading non stop.
Her Uncle Peter Isn't home for the mean time..though he went out since morning.
It was a Saturday afternoon, he left without informing her where he was heading to.
She didn't care..that was how it has always been. And She's okay with it.
but the only problem is the way he yells at her.. so annoying.
She heard her stomach grumble and then frowned..."yeah I know I'm hungry!" she pouted and rolled to the other side of the bed with her books in her hand
"My plan is to eat by 2pm today nothing more!" she said as she heard the sound again.
"Food Isn't enough at home here so ...." she sighed and look outside the window
"Maybe I'll just get chips!" she clicked her tongue and stood up leaving her room.
It was a three bedroom apartment... She lived with her parents since childhood and her uncle took her in.
She's beginning to wish she never stayed with him

I was already in the kitchen and opened the cupboard taking out a pack of potatoes chips.
My uncle bought this since yesterday for me but I decided to leave it in here since I wasn't hungry...
I really can't wait for Monday to go back to school... I'm already missing Stacy my bestie.
We challenged ourselves to getting A1 in the chemistry exam coming soon.
That's also why I've been reading nonstop and my class teacher also added his to it.
He said the best student will get a gift from him creating another competition.
I took out my phone from my pocket.. A small android I use to communicate.
There was no missed call...I'm out of airtime to even call back.
With that I left the kitchen opening the pack of potatoe Chips and began munching on it.
My textbook was in my hands and then I was about to turn to make my way to my room but heard a knock on the door.
"Huh....?"
"who could that be!" I thought within myself and headed to the door
Maybe my uncle... I opened the door and indeed it was him
"Uncle?" I blinked rapidly shocked to see him
"Just get out of my way I'm tired!" he groaned
Obviously he looked tired...only him knows where he went to and besides I don't care.
"oh... okay!" I replied and made way for him to pass
He came in and went and slumped on the couch immediately with a heavy sigh
I stared at him irritatedly
"Gosh!" I muttered lowly
"Oh dear please I need water...very cold one!" he said like someone who was about to pass out.
"Oh I'll go get it right away!" I said and scurried away...
I opened the fridge immediately and took out a bottle of water rushing out
In as much as I hate him...I don't want him to die cos he'll pay my school fees
"here!" I said and stretched it to him
"So uncle....where are coming from..you look tired" I said and he nods
"Yeah...I was told about someone I needed to see and gosh it's really tiring before I could conclude" he said as he groaned resting his back against the couch
"What was that anyways?" I laughed lowly
He paused and looked at me seating up.
"You'd be leaving by tomorrow!" He said
"Okay.....to where???" I asked but then it was like I just heard him
"I'd be leaving???" I exclaimed
"You heard me right!" he frowned...
"I'm tired of suffering here with you maybe you aren't!" he groaned
"so what are you saying..you're chasing me out!" I exclaimed
"Will you keep quiet and listen to me!" he yelled
"I don't think I can..." I whispered lowly
My eyes were already teary
"I'm not chasing you out to the streets!...I'm sending you to go serve and enjoy life!" he yelled
"I...don't get you!"
"You'd be moving into the BLAKE'S MANSION by tomorrow... there you'd be Ketax Blake property" he said
"Ketax Blake what??...to hell with him I can't be anyone property, besides I'm not for sale!" I spat out angrily and wiped my tears
"You don't know anything child...you're still growing so I don't blame you... do you think eating pancakes almost every morning is life. .that chips in your hand to you think out there is lunch to some people??" he yelled
"That's it..to some people.. I'm not complaining!!" I cried
"You're leaving tomorrow I'm tired already"
"So what about my school... my dream of going to college??" I sobbed
"Does that matter??...go there and work for him..you'd earn more than your school fees if you please him!"
"oh fvck that shit!" I spat out
"What did you say?" he glared at me
I clenched my jaw and looked elsewhere....
"I can't believe you're doing this uncle.. you never promised my dad all this..all you said were positive...now they all seem to be the other way round!" I cried and stepped back
"So what...what now...I'll leave here to work for someone as his what... Isn't he rich enough to get a maid or something!" I shrugged
"He did me a big favor and instead of me to pay he paid instead for you instead!!" he yelled
I raised my brows .."what do you mean?" I whispered
"you've been bought Roberta!" he said
this is the last thing I'd want to hear in my life time...bought
"into marriage or what?" I asked
That'd be better but hell no I'll not marry at this age
"No...to be his property, his own!" he yelled
"Maid?"
"His slave!!" he yelled
"What the hell????" I screamed at the top of my voice
"I'm going nowhere uncle!" I shook my head stepping back
"I don't care...a car will be here to come pick you up..better go get yourself ready!"
"What about my friends .." I cried
"I can't be a slave to a stupid being!!"
