While they were shopping, Leon's absent-mindedness was finally noticed by Vivian.
Vivian looked at the dazed Leon and asked curiously, " "Leon, what are you thinking about?"
Leon snapped back to his senses and looked at Vivian. "I'm not thinking about anything."
Vivian felt that Leon was hiding something from her. She touched his head and asked with concern, "Is there something on your mind?"
"No," Leon replied with a smile, "I just suddenly wanted to buy a book. I saw it at the bookstore yesterday but didn't buy it. Now I want to read it."
"If you want to buy something, just buy it," Vivian suggested. "I'll go with you after we're done."
An idea came to Leon's mind. "Mom, you do your thing. I can go by myself. The bookstore isn't far from the hotel. I'll go back directly after I buy the books."
Vivian also felt that it was faster to split up. She did not know how long she would have to pick the presents. I"'ll let Tom follow you."
