There are 8 creatures called Sentinels that can grant certain powers to the user. These creatures have been around since the very beginning.

So you must know their story.

They are spirits that are called Sentinels are sealed inside of special jewels called Aegis. The Sentinel's bow before almost no authority,even the wielder who is more like a partner than a master. The only person they will obey and serve is the guardian, or the holder of their book.

The Aegis were granted to 8 individuals who represented 8 different aspects . Harmony,freedom,thought, wonder,emotion,change, strength and protection. The spirits take the form of creatures who first represented their virtues,Songbird,hawk,stag,raven,cat,wolf,snake and Tiger.These wielders were guided by the Sentinels to become heroes. However,sometimes the wielders do not heade their guidance and become monsters. The Aegis lets the wielder tap into their survival instincts more and enhance all physical abilities and senses along with a special power unique to each Aegis.

Over the centuries more and more people desired to possess the Aegis and wars broke out because of them. So,the guardian of the Aegis hid them away in a temple hidden deep within the Himalayas and documented all his knowledge in grimoire,to help any future users should the Aegis ever arise again . Soon,the Aegis were forgotten by most and only the generations of guardians and the eight wielders know about them.

The first Sentinel is called Wren,the Sentinel of emotion ,who takes the form of a songbird,a creature that can inspire many emotions. She is sealed inside a rainbow opal embedded into a hair comb. Wielders of the Aegis of emotion are often artists who can inspire many emotions with their craft. The ability she grants is called siren song which can force someone to feel a certain emotion such as perpetual happiness,despair,boiling anger,sluggish laziness, paralyzing fear,confidence etc,however,the wielder must be feeling this emotion themselves and be fully focused to be able to use it. As for the passive abilities, the user is granted enhanced charisma if they are an actor,extreme empathy if they are a writer, keen hearing if they are musicians, heightened perception if they are an artist or heightened agility if they are a dancer. To activate the user must say the word Ascendo and to deactivate, Descendo

The second Sentinel is Soren, the Sentinel of freedom who takes the form of a hawk, a creature often used as a symbol of freedom. His jewel is a fire opal embedded into a bronze bracelet. Most of the time, the wielders are usually some sort of rebel or aviator,people who live in the moment and hate being restrained . Soren grants the power of Changing winds,which lets the user tweak the situation to their advantage. But the user has to picture what will happen in their mind and must remain focused. As for the passive abilities, the holder gains wings and extreme speed that may even get to mach speeds if they try hard enough. They may also develop hawk-like features such as keen sight and talons. To activate the user must say the phrase to the heavens and to deactivate, back down to earth.

Now we have the Sentinel of thought,Sapiens .Who takes the form of a raven and his Aegis is a Black opal embedded into a black feather earring. The users of Sapiens are usually problem solvers and critical thinkers,such as detectives,scientists,scholars or programmers,oftentimes leaders as well. They value knowledge and the pursuit of truth above all else and they strive to solve all the world's mysteries and share it with everyone to better themselves and everyone else .

Sapiens bless his Wielders with the thinking speed of a super computer and Photographic memory. Most develop raven-like traits such as black feathers,wings,and the ability to perfectly mimic any human voice. The raven Aegis grants its users a special power called vision which allows them to see a few minutes or seconds into the future,giving them the opening to analyze,anticipate and plan inhumanly fast,however while using this power,it renders them completely blind. Forcing them to rely on their other senses and memory of the terrain. To activate the user must say 'part the veil' and to deactivate they must say 'curtain falls'

The next Sentinel is Felis, the embodiment of wonder.Her Aegis is a cat eye moonstone embedded into a locket. She is represented by the cat,a creature known for its curiosity and individualistic nature. Her holders have much wanderlust and want to see places few people have seen before and will not let the odds stop them from achieving their goals. However,the holders are usually very hard to pin down socially and are very secretive and independent and will not follow orders unless they want to. They rarely stay in one place for long and are good at living double lives. They are usually explorers,secret agents,or journalists. They are blessed with agility,dexterity, and reaction speed that is superior to the average human. As well as the ability to see to pitch black darkness and nine lives. They may also develop features such as retractable claws,fangs,ears and a tail.

The special power of the wonder Aegis is dubbed daydream which allow the user to make an illusion of their opponents greatest desires,sweeping them away in their ideal lives,this trance is broken if a certain amount of shock is applied to the target,additionally those who have previously been affected by this power are harder to affect then before. The activation phrase is Bewitch and the deactivation Phrase is Disenchant.

The 5th Sentinel is called Villar,the Sentinel of protection.His Aegis is a brown onyx embedded into a fingerless glove. He is represented by the wolf,a symbol of guardianship and loyalty. Wielders of Villar are often self-sacrificing,extroverted and have a strong sense to protect those they love and provide shelter for them. They are often parental guardians,firefighters,law enforcement or search and rescue personnel. They are given a strong sense of smell,and although all wielders have regenerative abilities, Protection Aegis wielders regenerate even faster,allowing them to take most of the blows for the sake of their teammates. They may also develop wolf-like features such as ears,tails,fur and claws. They also possess a special ability called Lycan's rage. Which increases the wielder's strength and stamina,the greater the rage or determination, the more effective.Any damage received while this power is active also increases their strength. However,the longer this power is active the more likely it is that they will lose control of their powers and become exhausted and need to detransform. To activate the user must call out 'howl havoc' and to deactivate 'silence reigns'.

The next Sentinel is named Naga,the Sentinel of change . His Aegis is a color shifting alexandrite embedded into a snake shaped bangle. He is represented by the snake,a creature both feared and admired. Much like change itself.Snakes are oftentimes depicted as villains in mythology but they can also be a symbol of medicine,fertility and rebirth. As such,holders of Naga's Aegis are usually introspective,resilient,and adaptable. Ever Changing and always striving for improvement and self betterment and determined to overcome barriers and help others to do the same.Rarely losing heart in the fate of an obstacle and they also tend to enjoy a challenge. Thus those who possess Naga's Aegis are in a state of improvement of either themselves or the world,often being involved in health care,invention,the sciences and teaching.

Naga's holders often develop snake-like features such as thermal vision, forked tongues, poisonous fangs,scales and superior physical flexibility. Naga grants his wielders a unique power called Devour which allows them to absorb energy from their opponents,though you are not allowed to suck out so much that it kills them. To activate the user is supposed to use the phrase, 'jaws open' and to deactivate 'Brumate'.

The next Sentinel is Cernunnos,the Sentinel of harmony. His Aegis is an emerald embedded in a ring that mimics the shape of a deer's antlers. He is represented by the stag, often labeled by many cultures as the lord of the forest.

Holders of Cernunnos are people with a good moral compass and a strong sense of justice,they will fight for the prosperity of all living creatures, human or animal.Many lead or join civil rights movements to abolish the cruelty and abuse of all living things. Thus the holders of the Aegis of harmony are often Civil rights leaders, saints,humanitarian workers, or zoologists. Due to a strong connection with nature, Harmony Aegis wielders develop the power to communicate with animals; all wielders also develop antlers. They have a special power dubbed metamorphosis,as long as this power is active, they are able to freely change between animals,however if they stay in one form too long they will be stuck like that for a day. To activate the user must say 'Let the hunt begin' and to deactivate they must say 'The hunt ends'.

The last Sentinel is Mawo,the Sentinel of strength. His Aegis is a red tiger's eye jewel embedded into a belt. He is represented by a Bengal tiger, a creature revered for its power,strength and grace in many cultures. Holders of the Strength Aegis are strong both physically and emotionally who command admiration and respect among their community. They do not falter in the face of a challenge. They are fierce and determined and once they have set their mind on a goal,they will not rest until they achieve it. They are usually leaders,soldiers,athletes,and mercenaries. They develop physical strength that of a full grown tiger. They may also develop tiger-like features on their bodies such as stripes,fangs,claws, ears,and a tail.

The special ability of a strength Aegis holder is dubbed killer's intent.Which spreads an aura of intimidation in their vicinity and will affect their opponent's flight or fight instinct which will cause them to hesitate,retreat or become paralyzed. This power affects everyone within a 30 meter radius of them,regardless if they can see or hear them. However,this power could affect faint hearted allies. The longer this power is activated,the shorter the time the wielder is transformed.

The activation phrase is 'go for the kill' and the deactivation phrase is ' hunger slaked'.

All Aegis wielders are unable to be identified unless they actually tell someone or show them,even with the help of DNA samples,voice samples,or any other technology. And only other Aegis wielders are capable of fatally wounding other Aegis wielders in hand to hand combat.

There have not been Wielders for centuries,until now.
