Amsterdam stared at him in amazement. Who ever saw a man 'waltzing', as he called it. "You look like a dog trying to get air to breathe", she chuckled and bent down to pick a dry leaf.
He had taken her to an open bar, but this wasn't an ordinary one either. It was sort of picnicy, if that's ever a word. Their spot was on a mighty cute hill, overlooking the industrial area of Brawnbill. "Hey, come look", he beckoned her over. Down by the lake were two mechanical swans talking. She looked surprised.
Amsterdam : How's that possible?
Ray : (Smirking) They were built. I think they term themselves as mono thinking being, 'cause look.
He pointed and them and she couldn't help but laugh.
Amsterdam : They're squabbling.
Ray : I don't know when they haven't.
Amsterdam : So you've been here often?
He bent his head low. He didn't mean to add that part. It's confidential, he thought and his mind went back to the investigations.
He looked back at her. Her eyes were a pool of swirling redness. "Damnit", he slumped, "your eyes are catchy".
"Aren't you the shy one here?", she chuckled and pushed him, "Let's go. Didn't you say you had something doing at home?"
"Yes, i did". "Then let's be off. I can't let Mr. Shy and blushing waste more time"
He nodded. She was avoiding his eyesight, he knew. The hair on her neck had risen and she was murmuring something with a happy tone.

Ray's POV
"You'd be safe right?", i asked. Amsterdam was sitting in the car (Is she swinging her feet?). "I'd be fine. I ordered the ride. Send me out again like this ok?". I nodded. "Don't forget.....". "To call you. I know. I promise Mister Ray. Don't forget the money tomorrow! The repairs...". Before she could finish, the car sped off, but i saw her hand through the window, waving.
She's really something, that girl.
Girl?, i questioned myself and entered the house. The place was eerily quiet. My conscience made me run up to the bedroom.
I shouldn't have opened the door. I really shouldn't have.
Cass glared at me with despair whiles Kobie drowned his face in her bosoms. "I wouldn't ask who's idea it was, but for Anak's sake, NOT MY BED!", i yelled and stomped out, slamming the door as well.
Succubi, i scoffed. I actually thought she, they liked me.
Maybe that's the problem. I'm rushing things.
'You're not doing anything wrong, well at least from my perspective'
'Announce your presence at least before i jump off my seat'
'And how's that any fun?'
I signed and went to the kitchen. Mac and cheese were still available.
40 minutes later, these two people came out. Cass quietly looked at me; Kobie came up to me and brought out a bowl. "Ray I'm sorry", she said.
I brought out a confused look. "Whatever is that for?"
She dropped to the floor and kept quiet.
"Cass, or Nass, whoever it is, why should I be offended by this? We aren't even dating or engaged for that matter. Please do as you wish".
Not knowing whether was i said worsened the issue, i helped her to her feet. "Missy", i added, "we need to start the investigations"
