(This chapter is dedicated to Kobie, ONLY)
Kobie was those determined all-bright students, and a delinquent. Kobie had known Ray, like, ALL his life. From the nursery their parents sent them to, to realizing that they were neighbours, they were termed as that basic word(how do they call it) - best friends.
Through Kobie's delinquency, they were able to skip classes in elementary and high school but get similar grades in the final exams.
Until, one day, two days before Ray's birthday, Ray approached him and decided to quit skipping classes and encouraged him to do so.
Did I forget to say that Kobie was a fully-immortal graded narcissist? (Yeah I think i forgot that). He said no. Bribery couldn't even work! Imagine being told to stop a bad deed in order to get a lifetime supply of something you crave for?! The dude simply refused.
Kobie continued being a delinquent. And as his grades were still on the average range, Ray soared to the top. Man got many scholarships, but he refused all. Guess why?
Kobie.
He didn't want to leave him alone(talk about bro code).
Fast forward to their death...... You wanna know who did it? Well, don't ask me. Even I don't know, how much more themselves?

Second Earth Phase :Day 6
Kobie's POV
What was Ray thinking? Sleeping with Sydney that early? He may be the smarts and all, but sleeping with Cass the first day and Nass the second is not my style. What if you don't like them? And Amsterdam, the poor innocent damsel head over heels for intellectual Ray. Maybe she's sapiosexual? Maybe not? I'm sure she drools over every guy she sees.
"You know I can here you loud and clear right?", Ray calmly asked me, ironing his shirt. Oh shit I forgot; his powers include him being a psychic.
Ray: How come you didn't die?
Kobie: Yeah, about that. Nass healed me.
Ray: But you at least have to wear a cast or something?
Kobie: I'm using an illusion, so everyone thinks I'm wearing a cast. The illusion would stop in a week.
Ray just signed and continued his task. I need attention. "Well then", casting fire on my hands, "I'd take my Pyro and Cryo powers to the backyard to play a bit".
He shrugged. He doesn't care?!
I learned from Nass that staying calm can harness my power to a thousand, so I decided to try it out.
I did a Buddha pose and concentrated on one emotion: anger.
Suddenly, my hands felt hot and cold at the same time. Trying to imagine a picture, I swayed my arms gently as the picture formed in my mind. Since I'm a beginner, I decided to start off with a rose. By the time I opened my eyes, my petals were burning but the stem was frozen. I wonder if that's how I was supposed to carve it.
I dedicated the rest of the day for practicing and meditation. So by the time Ray would reach home, I would have been asleep and I could be a little energized for training with Cass.
