Journee was standing near her bed looking at the blood on her bed, her pillow, her bedsheets. She ran to switch the lights on, but her foot slipped on something slippery, and she fell face forward. She groaned with pain. She wanted to scream to ease her pain, but no sound came out of her mouth.
Even though she was inside her room, it looked as if she was underwater. She constantly kept hearing a gushing sound as if a river was running near her room or some tap was on.
She turned her flashlight towards her feet. She flinched and jerked her legs away and brought them towards her chest. A pool of blood was collected at her feet. She was shocked to see blood everywhere. Now she really needed to turn on the lights.
She turned her flashlight towards the switch, but her hand stopped midway. She stopped breathing when she realized that there was another pool of blood near her head. She touched the blood with her fingers, it was warm and liquid.
