A PLACE TO DIE
Glasses chatter against the weight of his body smashing through them and they return vengeful cuts on his body. He falls to the ground and begins to drag himself across the floor like a crippled man who cannot afford a wheelchair.
The heavy boots of Alucard's walk echoes through every hair on his body and it resonates with his heart, the feeling makes his ears ring with a strange sound.
Every step sends a message of terror and death; he cannot break the link between himself and Gabriel. Even if he could, would he?
He tries to get on his feet and he drags his knees while Alucard leans on the wall, "I actually thought this was going to be an interesting fight but it is nothing," Alucard scoffs.
His hair shines smooth under a line of light that penetrates into the castle.
"You were abominations, you and your brother weren't even suppose to exist. I could manage with you two lurking around as long as my father was okay but you animals went and killed my father. You deserve all of this," he says and speeds toward Samuel. He stamps him against the ground and his chests creates a loud thud as it connects with the floor.
"You will die today and all this will be over," Alucard says.
"Fuck you. You think you are the only one that lost something. Bitch, your father killed my mother and raided our village. He hunted us like animals for years and killed almost everyone that meant anything to us," Samuel's face cracks with anger as his veins takes the shape of lightning on his forehead.
"Do you know how old we were? We had to start living like animals and refugees. Dracula deserved every thing that he got. He had it coming.
If we had the chance we would do it again and our only problem would be how gruesome we would kill him," Samuel snarls and pounds his feet against the floor.
Alucard lifts Samuel and slams him against the ground numerous times and tosses him to one side, "Don't be a hypocrite Mortem, your name is known and we know you aren't good.
You've killed people too, wiping you off the face of the earth is an act of mercy on you," Alucard says and grabs Samuel by the leg, dragging him on the floor like a piece of rag.
Samuel chuckles as his body screeches against the hard floor, "You think you are doing some good by killing us. This is a fucking vendetta, you seriously think you will leave this place alive," he says.
Alucard glances at his body and laughs, "You are quite the comedian. I don't see you surviving this and your friends won't either.
I gather Gabriel's lover is here as well. She will be the first one I kill after your death," Alucard says.
Samuel growls and grabs Alucard's leg, "What do you think you are doing? You've gone and fucked up," Samuel says and snaps his leg out of Alucard's grip, he pushes Alucard forward and punches the side of his neck.
Samuel bites into his neck and draws his blood into his throat, Alucard is quick to return a reply to this attack, he uses his claws to cut Samuel's torso and smacks his head against the wall, "We are clearly not equals, bastard" the blond man says.
Samuel groans loudly and staggers with his back against the wall and his chest bleeding from the tears Alucard's claws inflicted.
Alucard kicks him to the floor and disappears in a blue light, "The time has come to chop your head off, Samuel" Alucard's voice echoes through the castle and Samuel feels a shiver crawl up his hands.
His wounds hurt and hope dims, Gabriel's voice gets weaker and he feels the bond weaken, "Hold on Gabriel," he says with a quiet breath.
The girls stand up as Hans charge toward them, he dives toward Amanda but evades her and grabs Rachael instead, "Your blood smell's like a human's" he says and brings her close to his face.
Rachael stabs the spear into his chest and he looks at it and drops her, "You think this will hurt me? Please," he says and turns into a cauldron of bats, he materializes before them, unscratched by the spear he stands.
He jumps to pounce on her but Amanda energetically springs up from the floor and lock hands with Hans in a duel of strength, "You guys go and help Sammy, I will handle this guy" she says and they respond with a nod before the two girls run toward the castle doors.
"Come back here. You are unworthy of the count's castle. Come back here," Hans screams.
He turns his eyes back to the woman in front of him, "Unhand me," he snarls and she responds with a kick to his crutch and an uppercut with a fist covered in fire.
Hans falls on his back and blood trickles from the side of his mouth, he hisses and throws snow into Amanda's eyes, "Ah," she groans as she tries to clean her face but this leaves her open for Hans, he lands two strong blows to her midsection and head-butts her to the ground.
"I was turned and trained by the Count himself. I am older than most vampires, do you think I will be that easy to kill?" he snarls and spits.
"We will find out in a minute, won't we?" Amanda snarls and dives toward him but he rebuttals with a knee to her face. Hans kicks her on the chest and she flies backwards.
"I will drain you of your blood sphinx," Hans says with a hissy voice.
Amanda feels the blood drop down her nostrils and onto her hands on the floor, the red liquid fall down to her lips and the horns on her head grow larger, "You will pay for this you fucking bat," she charges at him.
He scatters into a number of bats and flap his little wings hard, slicing at her skin and staining the snowy floors with her blood. The sphinx groans in pain as the bats' wings cut her like blades. She throws fire toward the cauldron but they fly away from her flames and materialize into the winged vampire again at a safer distance.
Hans watches her closely, he may be an old vampire but she is a sphinx and that makes her above him in the food chain.
He crouches down and his black wings cover him so his face is hidden, Amanda sees this as her chance and zooms toward him. She punches his wings without mercy or remorse and she smiles when she hears a crack in his wings.
Hans groans loudly and spreads his wings to reveal a read fiery ball in-between his hands, it flies off and hits Amanda in the chest, sending her backwards and away from the vampire.
She coughs out blood and her belly churns with pain. She feels a certain vibration flowing through her body, it is unpleasant and her body shakes. She feels her heart begin to beat fast and her vision interchange between a blur and a clear vision.
"What is this?" she grunts and coughs out more blood, "Wench, you hurt my wings. Did you think you are the only ones that know some magic? Live long enough and you learn a few things especially under the house of the count," Hans says.
"It is a spell meant to destroy you from within but since you are a sphinx the effectiveness seem to have diminished. That is okay, I can kill you as you are now," he says.
Amanda is on one knee as she struggles to get up; everywhere hurts and her chest feels hot. She raises her head up to see Hans appear before her in a flash, he lands a blow to her forehead and kicks her by the side of her torso.
"Let me send you to the afterlife, maybe you will think twice about crossing these grounds when you are reborn," he says. He flies to the fence and pulls out one of its spiky walls before dashing toward Amanda for a thrust. He stabs it into her shoulder and separates her from the spike with a kick to her chest.
Amanda wobbles on weak legs and her injured body, the spell Hans used on her seem to have made her weaker than she thought. She couldn't react fast enough to his attack.
She is on her knees and the 7 foot vampire stands above her with his hands ready to drive the spike through her chest, he lunges his attack and she grabs the front of the spike with her hands.
They compete with their strengths and the sphinx feel hers wane away as the pointy edge gets closer to her, "This is where you die, sphinx".
