Ryan waved and responded to the greetings he got as he walked through the offices till he got to Emma's desk who greeted him with smiles.
"Hi, Emma",
"Good morning Mr Ryan",
"Guess you are planning never to drop this formality",
She giggled,
" anyway is Liam in?",
"No sir he has a meeting with the Angelinus",
" ho mmmmm, can I wait for him?",
"Sure",
Ryan proceeded into his office hoping Liam's hostage hadn't followed him and became so glad to see her in the office but once again, she stood transfixed at the sight of him. They locked eye contact till she decided to look away with her heart beating fast, her fist clenched as she tried hard not to call him brother or even hug him.
"Hi", Ryan said,
"H..hi",
"How are you?",
She nodded in response,
"Seems like you are the only one here", he tried to start a conversation with her as he took his seat opposite her,
"Yes, he said he'll be back soon", she replied avoiding his gaze,
"Yeah, I heard he went for some meetings",
She nodded,
"May I ask you something?",
She looked up at him, "What's it?",
"Did you... Perhaps know me somewhere? like have we met before?",
"Why did you ask?",
" I asked you first", he said smiling,
Seeing him smiling made her suddenly want to smile but she was once again moved to tears, Prince Allan smiled but she knew they were different people, prince Allan had very long black hair, he loved bonding it in a ponytail shape but the man in front of her has a short blue hair, Prince Allan loves his hair so much that he would never cut it. Though all angels cherish their long hairs.
"No, you just look a lot like someone I know",
" Really? May I ask who?",
"My brother",
"And where is he now?",
" he's dead",
" ho I'm I'm so sorry", he said, ' Now that explains why she looked at me like that ', he said in his mind,
"It's okay",
Ryan doesn't know what to say anymore, he wishes to say something to at least change the atmosphere.
" How is your staying with that Liam?",
And that did the job. Her mood changed and now she does not avoid his eye contact.
"Ho, that's his name? Then I must say that name is too sweet and cool for someone like him like he's so rude and annoying, I don't like him<> I like nothing about him. He's just a demon", she gritted her teeth.
Ryan burst into laughter. She looks so cute and funny when angry that he couldn't help but laugh.
"It's not funny",
"Okay, I'm sorry. Well, that's Liam for you",
"Is he a warrior or...",
" a soldier?", he burst into laughter once again," trust me he's not",
" then why is he so commanding like he's a king, and he has this authority aura around him and that pisses me off so much, he's not even a warrior",
"Yeah, he might insult you just a little but the voice and the strength in it with that mafia vibes has made a lot of people tremble",
She hissed, " he's annoying",
Ryan smiled, "But he was not always like this", he said but his voice sounded sad.
" I don't think so",
Ryan chuckled, " Okay, how about we go over to my restaurant and get something to eat cause I'm sure he didn't feed you",
" he'll never, but I can't leave",
"Why?",
" he'll be angry, he said I shouldn't leave this office",
"Not with me, he's my best friend so he won't mind", he said and stood up stretching his hand towards her. She hesitated at first but later took it.
" Can I ask you a question?", looking scared,
"Go on",
" What is a traffic light?",
"You seriously didn't know?", he asked as he steered the wheel.
"Yes I don't know", she said, she still didn't like the fact she had to follow him in the car.
"Okay wait a minute...", he said till he stopped the car on the way.
" Why did you stop what if another car hit us",
He chuckled and pointed out for her, "Look at that pole...you see the light is a red sign... that means stop so all vehicles will stop when it is yellow that means every vehicle should get ready to move and once it's green, that means every vehicle can go. So while it is red, you see these people, they will cross. This is what is called traffic light and the rules and regulations, it is to prevent accidents", he explained still smiling.
Amelia takes notice of everything and when the light turns green, every vehicle begins to move.
"Wow that's amazing", she giggled suddenly feeling relaxed.
"Humans obey light? Woah!!', she thought to herself.
Ryan grinned at her reaction.
