Chapter 1 - A Beautiful Beginning

It was a winter morning at Varanasi, everything was fogged in, yet people were out on the street, some going to temple, others heading to work, and some starting their businesses since it was 7:00 a.m.

Everything was so gorgeous since nature was at its height. The riverbanks were lovely, there was fog all around, a fuzzy red golden sky, and birds chirping. Nature's beauty can't be explained in words at that time.

It was November 10, 2003, a goat year according to the Chinese calendar. At 7:12 a.m., a baby girl was delivered. Her skin was fair, and her hands and cheeks were as delicate as cotton candy. Her eyes were dark.

Her uncle bought her a new set of clothing. They also made her wear it. It was a cotton pink gown adorned with flowers and a butterfly.

She was so adorable that people tried to find reasons to remain with her mother after she was born and spent a month in the hospital. Everyone simply pulled her cheeks and played with her, but she had trouble sleeping. Even if you drop a pin, she will start crying.

Uma's (the girl's mother) brother, mother, and sisters used to remain with her all day and night to care for mother and kid.

After a month, the premature baby girl was brought home. Her father, who had returned from his corporate work, was excitedly awaiting her daughter's arrival. When the mother and daughter entered, he rushed to take the infant in his arms. For the first time, he embraced his daughter. He was crying, and his joy was out of control. "God, thank you for blessing me with luck," he said as he held her daughter.

His first tear fell from his right eye, and his daughter instantly placed her palm on his eyes while playing.

Everyone began to chuckle and stated

"Dharya, your daughter adores you, as seen by the way she dried your tears. "

Father spent much of his time with daughter, playing with her.

On December 26, 2003, they (daughter and father) took their first photo together.

Father was so pleased that he donated his wages to the destitute and fed them.

Then, on January 1, 2004, it was time to give the newborn girl a name.

It was a heated argument in which everyone was looking for the best name for the child. Her uncle recommended the name Khushi, but Uma detested it. Her aunt then recommended the name sneha, which means "a compassionate, soft-hearted person who cares about everyone." Everyone liked her, and she was given the name Sneha.

It was time to leave Varanasi and head to Paternal home.

They had a train on January 3, 2004, at night 8.

When it was time to depart, Sneha's maternal grandmother broke into tears, and everyone was upset since they wouldn't be able to see Sneha and her mother for more than a year. Uma was crying because saying goodbye is always difficult. At the time, Dharya was looking after her wife and children. They arrive at the station at 7:45 p.m. and catch the train on schedule. They carefully arranged their bags and ate some supper before retiring for the night.

The next day at 10 a.m., the sun was rising, the fog was clearing, and a chilly breeze was blowing, and they stepped out side of train.

They drove themselves home.

Who knew this would be such a game changer for Sneha. After two months, the child who was most loved at his or her mother's residence would reach a watershed moment.
