Chapter 128 - United soul

A glass of water was held out to the alpha. Only when the clear liquid had passed down his throat did Miles realise how thirsty he was. Leaving the empty glass on the table, he raised his eyes to the young woman who gave him a worried look despite her kind smile.

He had told her about his family's argument and his choice to leave. Probably that woman would consider him a pathetic and impulsive person for acting that way. That was how every adult saw a teenager.

― I'm sorry for causing all this trouble, Mrs. Howard. And for hiding me here.

― It wasn't your fault. ― sighed the woman holding the boy's hand. ― Nico warned me that there was a possibility of something happening. I don't mind having someone else living with us.

― I'll find a way to get a job and help out.

― You're a senior, Milles. Focus on your studies is all I ask. The rest we can manage.

Leaning against the wall Nicolas kept his eyes closed and his arms crossed as if he were sleeping standing up. He probably needed a rest as much as he did, but Milles was still too noisy to sleep.

― Well... Go rest, if you want to skip tomorrow to get your head together, be my guest. No one will judge you.

― Thank you, Mrs. Howard.

Making a face as she frowned, she leaned over the table.

― I'm your mother-in-law now, aren't I, son-in-law?

Chuckling softly, Miles nodded in agreement.

― 'In that case, thanks, little mother-in-law.

She giggled messing up the alpha's hair, watching Milles get up going over to Nicolas picking him up on his lap and carrying to his room. To his strangeness, and perhaps surprise, he felt comfortable in that house. It was small and ugly, but cozy.

Laying Omega on the bed and covering him, Milles had taken advantage of the silence to take a bath. That bath where thoughts were organised and sighs were given as he came across closed doors. Problems were like that. He needed to find a way to open those doors and move on. However the alpha had not found the desired way out.

Leaving the shower with wet hair and wearing only sweatpants, the alpha didn't want to lie down. If he closed his eyes, the images of the discussion would return with strength in his head, leaving him anguished once more. He would feel guilty for having abandoned his family and afraid of the future.

Sitting in front of the window, the alpha watched the darkness outside. The movement of the tree leaves that swayed with the wind. The light coming from the lamppost, which showed a cat passing by and sitting down. Outside seemed more interesting at the same time as strange.

What would he do?

He would run into his sister at school for the next few months. And she would probably ignore him at his father's request. They would live as strangers, which would make him look bad. He wasn't the type to ignore people, not unless he didn't know what to do.

Suddenly the world seemed scary.

― Can't sleep?

Turning his head, he noticed Nicolas standing curled up in the covers looking at him sleepily. Milles lay on the padded trunk he had propped up under the window to make room for the omega to sit down as well. He had squatted in front of him, also leaning against the wall and hugging his knees. Dark eyes watched the alpha, which was already routine.

―― A little. And you? You should be on your seventh sleep.

― How could I do it knowing you're bothered?

― I didn't have to tell you twice before to go to sleep.

Nicolas cracked a sneaky smile.

― Bloody bite, ruining my lovely hours of sleep. ― Snuggling under the covers, Nicolas curled up against the wall, staring at his alpha. ― What's up, big guy? Do you regret running away from home?

― Running away from home... They tried to threaten me with expulsion from the family to control me. They just didn't expect me to accept being expelled.

― Expelled, huh... Like that asshole cousin of yours?

Milles nodded, laughing muffled.

― Same thing.

The two plunged into silence. Milles looking at the window and Nicolas looking at Milles. One observing a strange and mysterious world they had in front of them.

― What about your sister? ― Omega wanted to know, receiving a nasalized chuckle in response. ― What?

― I'm just surprised you're asking about her. Well... Like daddy's little girl, she just took the punishment, whatever it was. They didn't even fight her in front of me, but in return... They made me hell.

― What a hard life to be a starched son, eh.

Milles had given Nicolas an amused look.

― Now I'm the second black sheep of the family. Because of you.

― I'll carry that with me like a gold medal. The first time I've accidentally destroyed an entire family's life.

Leaning his head back against the window, Miles stared at the cat sitting under the lamppost. About to sink into his own thoughts again, he was startled when Nicolas grabbed his face with both hands and forced him to look.

Those deep, dark eyes, whose pupils were barely visible, stared at him intensely. He might have felt cold looking at him so directly, if it wasn't for the soft touch he received on his cheek bringing a warm sensation.

― I hate you, you know that?

― I have a feeling you said something opposite to that this morning.

Nicolas had lifted the tips of his lips into a smile.

― You was paying attention, then.

― I said I heard very well. By the way, could you repeat those words?

― No fucking way. ― Nicolas had said about to run away when Milles' strong arms wrapped around his waist, making him sit on his lap.

― But if I fuck you, you'll say?

― Maybe... If you're capable of bursting a water pipe.

How could it have come to this? Milles was with Nicolas on his lap, stroking his skin under his shirt feeling his warmth, and welcoming him back with the gentle touches of omega on his face. Close together being millimetres apart, staring at each other without running away.

His heart was beating fast and his scent mingled with the omega's.

Depositing a simple seal on Nicolas' chest, Miles had heard his breathing fail and felt the rapid beating of his heart. A victorious smile appeared on his face, lighting up any dark path that might appear in his mind. Like a lamppost illuminating the cat outside.

Raising his head again, Milles had ended the distance by sealing Nicolas' lips lightly. Without worrying about lust, without worrying about the world outside.

Without worrying about anything.

Just in welcoming the movement of Nicolas' lips funny on his own, nibbling and sucking him without any rush. Deepening the touch so that their tongues met and danced in a playfulness. At the same time he had Nicolas' hands stroking his hair, the way he had learned to like, making him a prisoner of that kiss.

And he held that omega as his hostage, using physical force to pull their bodies together uncovering Nicolas' curves just to hear him gasp.

Until that moment, Milles had no energy at all to do anything. He just wanted to sleep and know what would become of him when he woke up. But now that he had Nicolas in his arms, receiving his soothing kiss and touch, the alpha seemed capable of anything.

He held Nicolas' legs firmly so he could stand up and walk over to the bed where he had laid the omega down without undoing the kiss. Remaining on top of him, Milles sucked Nicolas' tongue repeatedly until he heard him gasp against his lips. Light fingers went straight to the other's lean chest, finding the sensitive region to make him gasp harder and harder.

At that moment all that mattered to the alpha was to soak in the body of his omega. There he would find the comfort he needed, without being blinded by desire like other times. And the biting increased the pleasure of both of them.

It could be because of his feelings, his desires or even because he felt the need to soothe his alpha, but Nicolas was stupidly obedient that night. He had given his own body to Milles to bite him, to mark him, to love him wherever he wished.

He called him by name as he stroked the erect phallus, seducing him with a shame and innocence that would never belong to that omega. Yet for Milles that sight only turned him on more and more, yearning to mark every part of Nicolas' body that was visible to him.

Stripping every garment off the omega leaving his lean body on display, Milles soon shed his trousers to use himself as a blanket to warm Nicolas. The contact of their skins caused goosebumps, showing how sensitive those two were that night. A sensitivity never felt before.

Preparing Nicolas to receive him, Milles was discovering a new pleasure. The omega had sucked his fingers playing with his tongue, his cheeks reddening and his hot breath matching that frenzy. Watching that had driven Miles completely insane.

He wanted to penetrate him as soon as possible, because he couldn't hold out.

Invading his body feeling the tightness that increased his pleasure, hearing Nicolas' voice low having to restrain himself as he called him, his back arching when a certain point was reached... The pleasure Milles had felt that night had been unprecedented. For the first time he wished he could keep in his memory every feature Nicolas directed at him, every touch, every call.

Certainly he was grateful to have Nicolas dispelling the greyish clouds that hung over his mind that night. Showing that he wouldn't be alone.

Unlike any other time those two had sex, Milles was unable to leave Nicolas' mouth. Always kissing him softly, drawing sighs from him and touching him so that their skins were in contact with each other. Even after they both came, Milles couldn't abandon Nicolas.

Their entwined fingers sank into the mattress.

Nicolas kept his body joined to Milles'.

Milles kept his soul joined to Nicolas'.
