Chapter 101 - Biology class

— Omegas release a characteristic smell when they enter the period of heat. The nature of hormones is to attract a potential partner for the breeding period and ensure that the success of fertilization. ― Explained the teacher, pointing to the blackboard where the names of hormones were written prominently ― The betas do not usually smell unless it is intense, and as they are considered weaker than the alphas, it is very common that omega reject the betas.

― Nature is bizarre at times ― a student had commented at random.

— Nowadays it's more common for people to choose their partners, so you don't have to feel rejected just because it's a beta. ― Laugh the teacher, going back to read the book in hand. ― On page sixty you can see how the reproductive system of the omega. In the case of an omega boy, the uterus is smaller than the woman becoming more accessible in periods of heat.

The looks towards Theodore were immediate. The blonde had raised his head supporting his chin over his palm facing his classmates.

― Don't tell me you guys want to see my uterus?

― How bizarre! - A student laughs. ― Why do omega boys need to have this?

— It is nature ― Answered the teacher gaining the attention of the class. ― Omega boys may have the uterus for breeding, but the success rate in fertilization can only be guaranteed in periods of heat.

― Hey... it makes any sense!

— But of course it does. In heat the uterus becomes more accessible, as... Open doors. ― The teacher laughed at his little joke, and Theodore shook his head in denial suppressing laughter. A door? It was better than any bullshit that was going through the heads of your classmates. ― An omega boy can only conceive out of heat if he has a steady partner. A bond created by a bite. Otherwise, you'll only get it in heat.

― Speak up, Theodore... what's it like being an omega boy?

— Very good, since it keeps me away from donkey people. ― Smile the omega of good humour, making the student in question be laughed at by the shot that backfired.

— Enough, enough, more respect people. ― The teacher intervened. ― A boy being omega is more common than you think, the point is that they live in seclusion just because society blames them. They're men, they can get pregnant and that's their nature.

— Agree teacher! Keep making jokes just because the guy is omega only shows the complex of small dick! ― Growling a girl from the back of the room, looking directly at one of the boys sitting next to Sadie.

― What's it? Are you trying to say something?

― If the shoe fits...

― Guys, please, more respect in the classroom.

The discussion had begun inside the classroom. Theodore watched that somewhat impressed. He had studied the anatomy of hybrids before, but had never seen a classmate defend an omega boy. It would be the first time someone defended their class so openly.

Turning to Gabriel, the omega had not stopped smiling. The alpha will blink at him before taking your notes again, without appearing interested in the discussion.

Why would that be? Gabriel already belonged to him.

— So, if an omega has a steady partner it can get pregnant even outside of heat? ― Asked a student to pacify the discussions and resume class, to the relief of the silenced.

— They can, since the body of the omega gets used to the presence of your partner. Then the heat becomes a period where fertilization will have high chances of success, while the other days the percentages fall to a third.

― What about the betas Teacher?

― Let's continue the lesson then...

Theodore had lowered his eyes to the image of the book. The womb of an omega boy was small compared to that of the woman, being the only way for a man to become pregnant. It was very strange to know that there was something similar inside him. It would be the only thing that made him different from other men.

Reading his notes the omega realized how reckless he was in the last days of that week. He spent his heat with Gabriel and then they had that time in the locker room two days ago. The locker room situation had not used protection as they did during heat.

Was that a problem?

It was only once... Your body wouldn't have gotten used to Gabriel to the point of already waiting for a fertilization, right? It was something new yet, it would take time, right?

The Sweat began to drip from his forehead. Leaning into the book, Theodore continued to read about it feeling his heart racing.

— With the onset of puberty, the body of hybrids already begin to show signs of change. You see, the smell we emanate in childhood is almost non-existent, becoming evident as it enters the adolescent phase. From the age of fourteen it is possible to know the class, making the person fit for reproduction. ― Explained the teacher again pointing to the board. ― But as you may know, they are still new to having relationships, since the body has not yet finished its development completely.

― Oh, I hear an alpha might change its scent after he finds his partner.

― Is it serious? ― Questioned another side, turning to Gabriel. ― The guys from the team commented that the smell of Gabriel changed these days.

Immediately the two hybrids raised their heads staring at the student who had made the comment.

― My smell?

― Yeah. They say that when you're too focused on training your smell gets stronger. But it wasn't like that before.

― Did you happen to find a partner during mating?

― Sadie's smell also changed. ― Another student commented looking at the girl who remained quiet until then.

Opening a masked smile, the omega denied with its head.

― I like to use the perfumes I get as a gift from my parents. Just that.

― What's wrong with admitting that you found a partnership? Isn't that natural? Like, you two went through heat together, right?

Rolling his eyes, Theodore immediately stopped following the conversation to read the biology book again. He didn't even care about the ridiculous rumours about Sadie having gone through heat with Gabriel, he had enough headaches with that story. And the last thing he wanted was to have to get away from his alpha.

The best was to ignore.

― But I did not spend the heat with Sadie. ― Gabriel said simply, having the whole class turning towards him with wide eyes.

— How not? You two missed the same days, and the first-year guys said they saw her in the stands in the last game. You were there too, weren't you?

— This does not mean that I have passed the heat with Sadie. Is not it? ― Gabriel turned to the girl, who silently agreed with the head. ― Where'd you get that from?

― The rumours... Well...

― I know you guys love to gossip about other people's lives, but class is more important. This is proof content!

The threat had the expected effect. Theodore sighed heavy pounding his fingers over the book. Certainly Gabriel's speech would spread through the school leaving Sadie in an uncomfortable position. However, little was bothered by her, since she had the audacity to try to threaten Gabriel that way.

Opening a simple smile, the omega could only notice that he himself was becoming possessive with Gabriel. Turning his head to look at him from the corner, he had contemplated his lover studying diligently as if a golden aura enveloped him.

Anyway, if Gabriel didn't want to hide then Theodore would be with him. It was all that mattered.
