A new child came to the orphanage, she had chocolate skin and dark hair, and her green eyes caught everyone's attention.
It was her first time at the orphanage but she knew the way in.
"Hi my name is Lora, I will help you familiarise the orphanage" a blond, beautiful girl came up to her, "what's your name?"
"Vivien"
"Come, let's go meet the headmistress"
Vivien nodded. The two girls went to the headmistress's office.
"may we come in ma'am?" Lora asked as soon as she opened the door to the office
"Sure" the headmistress said, without lifting her head, concentrating on a document.
"I have brought the new child"
There was a knock on the door, and two boys entered the room.
"headmistress Helga, we are sorry for being awake past bedtime and roaming around the orphanage, I just wanted to find Caramel and Miles helped me"
"Who are those boys?" Vivien whispered to Lora.
"the one with black curly hair and blue eyes is Miles, rumour has it that he has a disease that's why he never comes out to play but then again none of the MAIZE come out to play.
"MAIZE?" Vivien asked quite confused.
"yeah MAIZE, they are a group of five, although of different ages they still stay together and are like siblings, so we call them MAIZE" Lora seemed to be happy talking about them, her eyes were smiling which was brightening the dull office.
"the one next to Miles, the blond-haired with freckles is Elliot, he is the sweetest of the group. Every single girl in the orphanage loves Aiden, he's the oldest and the most handsome of them all, he's lean but muscular, and his hair is that of ocean waves….ahhh I would love to sit next to him one day. Then we have Zane, he has very long hair and always wears the same shirt, he is a strange one, he has been like that since his sister got adopted and finally Isaac, he is the son of the headmistress and knows everything about the orphanage, honestly, he looks like he has not eaten for days, and is very quiet most of the time.
"but why are they called MAIZE?"
" Miles, Aiden, Isaac, Zane, Elliot. M, A, I, Z, E...MAIZE"
"you can go back now and have your breakfast" the headmistress said as she signaled Miles and Elliot to go back.
"ma'am the new child…." Lora said to bring attention to Viven.
"ah.. yes forgot about that"
"viven, you say?"
"yes, ma'am" Vivien replied with a forced smile.
"Lora I would like for you to eat your breakfast"
"But…. I have to show Vivien around the orphanage"
"It's all right, I think she knows the orphanage better than me"
"ok ma'am "
"just close the door dear, before you go"
Lora had left the room
It was strange to stand across someone you know but haven't met in a while.
"Hi, I am the new child Vivien". Vivien broke the silence.
"why are you here?"
"I thought you would never recognize"
