The Barn had been the perfect Hideout for Five years if his twenty years curse. Lucan's decision to Restrain himself to scrutiny and embarrassment was his only Way of retaining his sanity fir five years. Lucan Listened to nature as they passed through the stony path of the green forest, The Birds sang praises in the sky, He could hear The Squeals of different Animals who stayed hiding away in the camouflage leaves and trees. Lucan and Emy managed to reach the palace Grounds without early detection, Emy was smart to have brought two horses with him, It was easy to make a Lie when the horses were involved. Their Journey out of the forest was fast and soon, Lucius sighted his Horse Abigail, She was black with thick long hair a magnificent horse that was faster than a cheetah in it's prime
"Abigail", Lucius greeted Patting the horse's back, She greeted back by leaning in and letting out a moaning sound. She was pleased and was giving him consent to climb. Lucan swiftly climbed and took control of the saddle. He looked back to Emy who had managed to climb his horse as well, He seemed to still be struggling to control his horse, But Lucan could still applaud the young man for the effort overtime
"You Did a Good Job". Lucan said moving ahead. He heard Emy's horse, Sarah, a White horse, Moving behind them although she was reluctant
"Thank You Your Majesty". Emy said
They moved in Silence after that, It wasn't a long journey ahead, Lucan could see the castle from where they were, abs as he looked hard enough, he saw a group of his soldiers already waiting at the entrance of the castle with his right hand man leading the pack. Kane
"When did Kane Arrive?". Lucan asked purely out of curiosity, He felt a bitter taste in his tongue though, He did not like Kane
"This morning Your Highness, He asked of you". Emy said
"And What was your response?". Lucan asked giving him a side glance
"A regular Hunt Your Highness'". Emy Clarified
Lucan put in a little pressure on the horse to go faster, He was successful as They reached His men fast. Lucan's men walked up to him to assist him down the horse, but there was no need as he was already down before they came
"Your Highness!!", They all Greeted bowing their heads. Lucan signalled for them to Rise and they did
Kane stepped forward and gave a bow to the king as well. "Your Highness"
"When did you arrive From Crisan and how are the people there?". The King asked still patting his horse casually
"This Morning, Crisan is splendid your Highness'. I had come seeking your presence bit found out that you had gone for a hunt". Kane said raising a brow, Lucan knew what that meant, He wasn't just stating, Kane was suspicious of his actual whereabouts and he was questioning him in the most sly manner
"It was a good hunt, That yielded good results
The King said in response. He watched him like a hawk.
"I am pleased if that is the case". Kane said STL bowing
"You said something about seeking my presence, What may the problem be then, an urgent matter that seeks my attention?". The King asked
"By no means your majesty, Just a Common information, I wish to let you know". He said
The King smiled, It may be something not so important because it wasn't like Kane, "Then We should discuss it after I freshen up with a bath"
The King left soon after that and headed to his palace where he took a bath and Rested. His bruises were gone completely before he took his bath and after the hot bath, the memories of the past night flooded his mind totally. Everything he had done came vividly to him and he hated himself completely for how gruesome he had been
The King couldn't lay his head to rest, He just couldn't, or all the memories would come flooding back painfully
King Lucan saw no need for him to sit around, He got dressed completely and moved over to his main court where he presided over the matters of his kingdom. It was not shocking to the King When he passed through the doors to his throne room and saw an already waiting Kane
"Rise", King Lucan Said as he sat on his throne
"Your Majesty The Savages laid a counter offer for the Milan Estate, is there no way we can come to a conclusion?". Kane asked still on his knees
"Rise", Lucan said harshly, He was getting annoyed
"I am sorry your Highness'', Kane said getting up
"Are you the middle man for the Savages Or A Beta for My Kingdom!!?". The King Hashed out sitting up
