Chapter 35 - Dream Weaver's Lie

Two hours later, Sean woke up in amazement.

He had a wonderful dream. In the dream, he grew from a farmer's child to a general of a country. He married the princess of the kingdom and even pacified the rebellions. Because all the king's sons died during the war, he took over the throne and finally became the new king.

This dream was so lifelike that it seemed real.

But in the end, he still woke up from his dream.

The little fatty came up to Sean and said, "What do you think? I was right, wasn't I? Isn't this good stuff?"

Sean nodded silently. This feeling was extremely novel to him.

When Sean came out, the boss looked at him and spoke with apparent interest.

"Interesting. This is the first time I've seen someone who can last so long in a dream for the first time. Perhaps you have some talent in this aspect."

The boss handed a business card to Sean and said, "This is my contact information. If you need money in the future, you can come to me. I can provide you with a job that has a generous reward."

Sean picked up the business card.

However, after turning around and leaving the Dream Weaving Shop, he threw away the business card.

His family was quite wealthy, so he did not need to worry about money.

In the days that followed, Sean did not visit the Dream Weaving Shop again.

Although his previous experience at the Dream Weaving Shop gave him a novel feeling, Sean also sensed a hint of danger.

It felt too real.

He was afraid that if he went too many times, he would not be able to differentiate between reality and dream.

However, ever since he experienced the last dream, every day, when he attended classes in the church school, he would vaguely recall his experience in the Dream Weaving Shop.

There was already a thought in Sean's mind that wouldn't go away.

"Why can't I try again?"

In the end, this thought overcame Sean's fear. He went to the Dream Weaving Shop again.

However, this time, the little fatty did not follow. He was the only one who came.

"Yo, young man, are you here alone this time?" The boss greeted Sean warmly when he saw Sean.

Sean took a deep breath and stepped forward.

"Boss, is there anything new this time?"

The boss took out a bottle of potion and said, "This time, you will definitely have an extremely satisfying experience."

He drank the bottle of potion.

This time, Sean became a powerful mage.

He controlled the destructive magic and wreaked havoc in the dream world like a god.

After retreating from the dream, Sean's excitement did not seem to have subsided. He looked at the boss and said, "Anything else, boss? I want more."

However, the boss put away the potion and said solemnly, "This thing can only be used once a day. If you still want to experience it, come back tomorrow."

The next day, Sean ran to the Dream Weaving Shop after class.

For the next period of time, it was like this almost every day.

Time and time again, he experienced different lives in the dream, and the time he spent in the dream became longer and longer.

This also increased his expenses.

After all, the cost of two gold coins at a time was not a small sum.

Fortunately, Sean's family was wealthy and he did not need to worry about money. The remains of his daily pocket money was enough to pay the Dream Weaving Shop.

Until one day.

Sean's father returned home in a daze.

Seeing his father like that, his mother asked curiously, "What's wrong?"

His father replied, "I was tricked. Our family went bankrupt."

The sudden news hit Sean like a bolt from the blue.

The family had lost its source of income.

Sean's life became hard-pressed and he took a job as a priest in a nearby church.

After a month of hard work, he only had six gold coins.

He could go to the Dream Weaving Shop three times.

He felt that he was already addicted to the Dream Weaving Shop.

He clearly knew that not going to Dream Weaving Shop could save him a lot of money.

But since his father went bankrupt, his life has been deteriorating.

The bitter life in reality formed a sharp contrast with the refreshing feeling when he entered the dream in the Dream Weaving Shop.

The sadder his life was, the more he wanted to come to the Dream Weaving Shop to find joy.

But even so, these days did not last long.

The Great Depression had arrived.

More and more factories and workshops went bankrupt, and Sean lost his job.

This time, he had completely lost his source of income.

At this moment, Sean suddenly remembered that the owner of the Dream Weaving Shop seemed to have said that if he needed money one day, he could look for him.

It wasn't that Sean hadn't thought of looking for the boss before.

However, Sean had not been forced into a dead end at that time, so he still had some leeway.

This time, Sean couldn't stand this life anymore.

He found the owner and said that he wanted to take on a job.

The boss smiled at Sean's words.

"You've finally gotten over it," the boss said. "Someone like you, who can last so long the first time you immerse yourself in a dream, is definitely a good seedling to be a Dream Weaver. It's a shame not to earn this money."

"What is my job?" Sean asked.

He originally thought that it would be some kind of illegal activity, but the boss said, "Your job is to weave dreams. The payment for each time is 2,000 gold coins, and you can also get a share of the revenues from good dreams."

Sean's eyes widened at his boss's words.

"That simple?"

"Yes, it's that simple." The boss smiled and said, "But weaving dreams is hard labor. If you want to weave a good dream, you have to immerse yourself in it. You might lose yourself in it. At that time, you have to commit suicide to escape from the dream. Therefore, sometimes weaving dreams is a very painful thing. Only those with talent can do it."

Sean followed his boss's instructions and drank a bottle of potion. Then he began to fabricate his dream.

He remembered the dream he had once had.

He became the white-robed bishop of the Church of Light's Court of Judgment and led the Holy Archangel Michael to destroy the evil dragon's nest.

He modified this dream. After destroying the evil dragon's nest, the Pope suddenly died.

He was promoted to Arch-Cardinal, and more than ten years later, he became Pope.

After modifying the dream, he handed it to the boss.

The boss quickly transferred a sum of money over.

A total of 4,000 gold coins.

"That's too many, boss," Sean reminded him.

However, the boss said, "There's no mistake about this price. You've done a good job. This dream is very popular. The extra 2,000 gold coins are an additional reward for you."

Sean thanked him as he left the Dream Weaving Shop.

What he didn't see was that just after he left Dream Weaving Shop, the boss's face changed and finally turned into Lind's appearance.

"The prey has taken the bait. Next, it's time to reel in the net."

Lind muttered.
