_______
This was an unexpected welcome.
I didn't know whether to cry, piss my pants, run away, or do all of it at the same time. Who were they? Why are they staring at me? Do they want me dead? Did I escape?
All sorts of scenarios ran through my head, and all of them ended up with me in a bad position. My eyes darted all around, looking for ways to escape.
'UPSTAIRS!' Adrenaline coursed through my veins and I was about to bolt yet again even in my heaving, sweating state; but I stopped as soon as I heard multiple heavy footsteps coming down.
I was dead. I made my escape, but they got me in just a few minutes. I had no way out of this situation.
Realizing this, I sat in defeat, breathing heavily and holding my hands in the air, waving my white flag.
"You got me." I uttered weakly as I tried to catch my breath. "You got me..."
I closed my eyes. I ran through ideas of what they were going to do to me. Maybe I might just die on the spot.
But, the silence continued and after a few moments I felt the gush of wind go past my head.
I opened my eyes, and I was met with strange faces, weird glances, and quiet murmurs between them.
"What.." I uttered. "Are you, not going to take me?"
They all became silent again, raising their eyebrows and staring with judgement in their eyes. A second later they all continued to do what they were previously doing; washing their face, drying their hair, talking, eating.
I stared with my mouth slightly agape as people passed by me.
Now that I think about it, why were a lot of them wearing pajamas?

After people awkwardly approached and consulted me, I realized that maybe I wasn't kidnapped or in an experiment after all.
My initially reddened face from exhaustion became even more red from embarrassment. Not to mention my already existing social anxiety made me act more awkward and tripped after I was trying to tell people that I was only joking around, while trying to make my way out the front doors.
After that, I was able to smoothly make my way out the doors. Once I made it outside, it was like brain went on automatic mode; I felt like I couldn't do anything, including thinking and just walked around semi-consciously. It was like my brain was over-heated and couldn't function properly.
But, after a long time of walking and looking around, I finally sat down on a wooden bench situated outside a building.
"Where the hell am I." I murmured. It didn't seem like I was going to get a clue, until I noticed a bulge and felt that my pockets were full.
I carefully slipped my hand in, and took out a ball of crumpled paper. I opened it and inside was single blue pill, with words on the paper.
[To my most beloved reader, Toilet Paper.
It has come to my notice that for the past 2 years you have not once missed to leave a single comment on every new chapter I have made.
As a writer, I have much to learn; thank you for your criticisms.
However, as much as I'd like to continue the story and keep you entertained, I have to put it to a stop.
But, since you obviously like my story so much, I've gotten a perfect opportunity to keep you entertained. Hope you like it.
Will keep in touch,
~Xoxo, your lovely author, Janissa.]
Reading this, I had mixed feelings. It felt like a prank, but a thought sparked in my head. I'd read a bunch of transmigration, reincarnation and isekai stories before, and the underlying message in the letter seems to be telling me that this is my situation right now. And oddly enough, I felt compelled to find it to be true.
I felt the headache come back again. This was too much information for me in just one day, and to accept everything just like that just wasn't going to happen.
Right now, even though I already slept, I felt tired and needed more time in bed. Then, I remembered the room I was just in.
'If this is just a dream, then I'll be waking up soon,' I thought, 'But if not, then I can think about it all over after.'
Putting the blue pill back in his pocket, he headed back to his original spawn point.
