Vormin entered the piloting area of the spaceship, which in itself was a vast area. "Have you located them?" asked Seronn. "No sir, they are changing trajectory every other hour or so." Seronn laughed, "then they must know we are on them," said Seronn to Vormin. "How is it possible that they know?" asked Vormin. "A prey knows when it is being hunted and this is a prey that has spent much of its time trying to escape our wrath," replied Seronn. "Why are you here then?" asked Seronn to Vormin. "It is your planet sir, Xenon," replied Vormin. "What?" asked Seronn. "The planet Xenon sir, we have recieved information that it burns, and it burns far too bright," replied Vormin. "An attack?" asked Seronn. "Yes sir," replied Vormin. "The planet does not matter to me anymore. It stopped when my parents died," said Seronn. "I understand sir," said Vormin. "Stay on the course to chase and hunt the rebels. Evil masquerading as good, such vile creatures. Atleast Vormin, we know who we are," said Seronn. "And so does everyone," replied Vormin. "Lets hunt them then," said Seronn. "Ok," said Vormin and took leave. Seronn looked into the vast space again. Plato, back at earth. Plato was seated at the directors office. The director was trying to calm him down. "Believe me son, we are making plans to contact Sergey." "Contact?" asked Plato. "Contact and retrieve," emphasized the director. "Sir, with all due respect, we do not even know where he is," argued Plato. "Again son, we are making all the efforts needed. We will start the mission soon, please do not worry," said the director. Plato sighed, "it's been a year," he uttered. The director looked dismayed with the attitude of Plato, now for the first time. But he refrained from using any remarks against him and chose to keep quiet. Plato began to get up and leave. As he got up from his seat, the director suggested he keep his seat. "Plato," he said. "I understand, but you have to see the larger picture here son," said the director. "One mans life cannot be all, one man's life is not the most important thing here. Look around, we are trying to change the planet. And son," the director looked into the eyes of Plato. "And not many people can say that, can they?" the director continued, "you should be proud that you are part of the solution and not the problem." Plato was a bit upset and now he chose to hide it from the director. "Yes sir, I understand, you are right," he agreed with the director . "Ok, you can leave now," said the director. Plato took leave. Later that evening, Plato met Elena at the coffee shop. As Plato entered the shop, he was waved in by Elena. Plato sat down quietly. Elena already had her coffee. As Plato sat down, the waiter approached him and asked him what he wanted. "The same," said Plato pointing at the drink Elena was having. The waiter nodded and went to the counter. Plato sat there quietly in remorse. "What is it?" asked Elena, is it Sergey again. "No," replied Plato. "Then what is it?" asked Elena. "It is nothing," said Plato. "You can confide in me," said Elena putting her hands on the top of his. Plato looked at Elena. "It is snowing outside," he said to her trying to change the somber mood. "Yes," she replied. "It is a luxury, this snow," he said to her. "A luxury?" she asked him. "Yes, a luxury now. But when I was younger, it was not. Not until recently, it was not a luxury. Now i have you, all this and still there is no happiness," he said to her. Elena looked into his eyes. "And yet there is no purpose to my life," he said to her. "I have many I did not have when I was younger, I'm many things that I was not when I was younger. Yet, I have no direction, no purpose. All I have are contradictions." "I do not understand," said Elena. "You do not need to," said Plato. "Plato," she said, "you are part of something good, you do have a purpose," said Elena. "Part of something good designed by someone else to suit their purpose," lamented Plato. "Sometimes it is like that," said Elena. "Sometimes you are part of someone else's plan, and you make do," she said to him. "That is the thing Elena, I have always been part of someone else's plan," said Plato. "Ever since i was a kid." The coffee arrived and Plato took a sip off of yhe coffee. He looked outside the window and he stared without any thought at the snow came pouring down.
