I sat on my couch and looked at my ceiling then closed my eyes. Yesterday was the first day of my new appearance and peoole already like me more. It pretty much proved my suspicion that looks mean everything at Grandview University. Not only is everyone there successful at something but they are known for their talents. Until now, I wasn't known for much of anything other than being smart.
I looked at the business card then called the number once again. I waited for a bit before the call was answered.
"It's you again. Heh, alright. I'll send someone your-"
"Wait a moment before you do that." I said.
"Yes?" The man said.
"Are you the man that I met at the bar?" I asked.
"Heh, you catch on quickly. Yes I am that same man. The name is Giovanni. I am the owner of this company called Dream Makeover." Giovanni said.
"Alright, first I want to thank you for this. It was a big help to me but I wonder...what is the catch?" I asked.
"Catch? Well normally there would be a catch, but you caught my eye. So much potential in you just for it to be wasted by drinking your life away." Giovanni said.
I stayed silent a for a bit. "So there is no catch?"
"No. Now if that's all, I will send someone your way." He said then hung up.
I waited for a bit then sat up. I looked at the back of my hand. I decided to let it go and watch TV for a bit while I waited for the person to arrive. After a while, I heard my doorbell ring then looked at the door and looked at my doorbell camera. There was a woman standing in front of my door.
She had light brown hair with pink highlights and her hair extended down to her lower back. Her eyes were sapphire blue. She wore two earrings on one ear and a diamond stud earring on the other as well as wearing a choker on her neck. She had a slender physique with curved hips and medium sized breasts. She wore a black shirt with one side hanging off her shoulder, black pants with a white belt and white shoes.
I got up and walked to the door and unlocked it. I opened it and looked at the woman. I notice her look up at me and watched her blush just by looking at my appearance. "You're the one Giovanni sent?"
"Y-Yeah..." The woman stuttered. "I'm Bella..."
"Nice to meet you Bella, the name's Leon-"
"Stop talking like that!" Bella placed her bag in my face to cover my mouth.
I chuckled softly and lowered her bag from my face. "What's wrong with the way I talk?~ Can't handle it?"
"Sh-Shut it and let me in!" She said and looked away.
I smiled and let her inside then closed the door after she entered. "There you go. Welcome to my humble abode."
"It's...a nice house. I live on campus so something like this isn't like affordable for me." Bella said.
"Ahh what college do you go to?" I asked and walked to the couch, sitting down.
"Grandview University." Bella said and looked at me.
"Ahh I go there as well." I smiled at her.
"Really? How come I've never seen you around there before then? I feel like we should've met at least once." Bella said.
"Well it seems neither of us have any classes together." I answered.
Bella walked to the couch and sat down. "Anyway, what do you need?"
"Well, I was hoping to bring someone with me to a friend's party tonight. I could come alone, but my two friends don't really like the person who's hosting the party. Since you're here and you do attend Grandview, maybe you can come with?" I said.
"Who's hosting the party?" Bella asked.
"Lexie." I said.
"Uhhhm..." Bella said and scratched her neck.
"What you don't like Lexie either?" I asked.
"She's uh...She's interesting." Bella said.
"You can be honest with me." I said.
"She's a bitch." Bella said. "You shouldn't associate yourself around her. She's bad news because she hangs around girls like Bianca and Jocelyn plus she's associated with Sean and Nathan."
"Come on, Lexie and Jocelyn aren't as bad as people make them out to be. Yeah they can get pretty hardcore and yeah maybe Jocelyn is a weedhead and Lexie has a lot of rough ends but that isn't enough to call them bad." I said.
"Why are you defending them? Do you know the stuff they did to people?" Bella asked.
"Not exactly, but you know how Grandview University operates. It's all rumors and needless drama." I said.
"I just don't want you getting roped into the wrong crowd. Sorry to tell you, but I won't attend that party. Only bad things happen there." Bella said then stood up. She grabbed her bags. "Hopefully I can see you on Monday."
I watched her leave my house then looked at the time. I still had some time on my hands to get ready. I got up and hurried upstairs to take a shower and throw on some fresh and new clothes. I noticed I needed a new wardrobe so I made a mental note to go to the mall tomorrow for some new clothes.
I finally got ready and decided to head out to the party. I hurried down the stairs and walked left through my garage, getting into my car and driving off.
As I drove to Lexie's house, I got a video call from her via Snapchat and answered it, placing my phone on the stand then turned my music down. "Yo."
"Hey, nerd. Are you still coming? Everyone is pulling up and you still aren't here." Lexie said as she was smoking weed with Jocelyn. She turned the camera over to Jocelyn.
"Hey! Hurry up over here! We didn't invite your dumbass for no reason!" Jocelyn said.
I chuckled and kept driving. "Didn't know you wanted to see me that badly at the party. Heh, I'll be there in about another ten minutes. We don't exactly live in the same neighborhood you know."
"Yeah I know, but come on before Sean appears because once he arrives that's when shit starts happening." Lexie said.
"I'll be there so don't worry your mind over it." I said.
"Alright." Lexie said then hung up.
I went back to my GPS and turned up my music once again. Within ten minutes, I finally made it to Lexie's house. I parked my car then got out and walked to the door and rang the doorbell. I waited for a moment then noticed the door open.
Lexie stood in front of me and she smiled. "Finally, thought you got into a car crash."
"You think I'm that irresponsible." I rolled my eyes then chuckled.
Lexie let me inside and I walked into her house then looked around. The music was bumping and some people were dancing and drinking with the music. This was my first time at a college party and it was just how I imagined it.
"Come on, let's go to the back where it's less crowded." Lexie said and led me to her backyard.
I followed and noticed a few people looking at me. I kept following Lexie and we entered her backyard then I noticed Jocelyn rolling a joint. She looked up at me and smirked.
"We are about to get fucked up." Jocelyn said then finished rolling her joint then held it out to me. "Do the honors and get the first puff.."
I sat with them and grabbed the joint. I grabbed the lighter off the table and lit up the joint and took the first hit out of it. I blew the smoke out and handed it over to Jocelyn. "Hey I got a question for you."
"What's up?" Jocelyn asked.
"Why are you dating Sean? Brooke told me the only reason you stay with him is because he buys you weed. Is that why?" I asked.
"Yep." Jocelyn said then took a hit then blew the smoke out and passed it to Lexie.
"I mean I can buy you that shit and much more." I shrugged.
"You don't know any dealers out this bitch. Even if you did, I know literally nothing about you." Jocelyn said.
"True, but at least I'm not hated by the entire campus. I'd rather be a nobody than hated." I said.
"Fair point. Him and Nathan are some douchebags. Sean is the bigger one though. He literally bullies you for no reason and for some reason you let it slide." Jocelyn said.
I shrugged and looked at the sky. Lexie handed me the joint and I took a puff out of it then passed it back to Jocelyn. I exhaled and closed my eyes. "He isn't worth the time. I mean what do I look like stooping down to his level? Obviously I have something he doesn't."
"There's a couple things you have that he doesn't. Your brains, your charisma, your uhhhm..." Lexie started.
"Well aside from that, people just don't get bullied for no reason unless they see them as either an easy target or they are jealous of something. Even back when I was boring and y'know sightly out of shape, he would bully me with his dick riders." I shrugged. "That's why I'm confused on why you even stay with him."
"Well, as I said before. He buys me weed so I stay with him." Jocelyn shrugged. "I mean, you don't know this but my mom is very y'know...religious. She will never allow some shit like this. Me drinking and shit. She'd kill me. That's why I live on campus so I don't have to sit through her self righteous shit. Sean helps me live my own life, even if he isn't what he talked himself up to be."
"I felt that but my parents were just really strict with me up until I turned 19. That's when they started to relax and by the age of 20 when I got myself a good paying job I was able to get my house and shit." I said.
"Do you live alone?" Lexie asked.
"Person wise, yeah. I have two dogs and a cat at home as well." I said.
"Ohh! What kind of dogs?!" Jocelyn asked excitedly.
I sat up and took my phone out of my pocket then pulled up a picture of my two dogs. "I have a corgi and a retriever."
"Holy shit they are so cute!" Jocelyn squealed. "Fuck not even Sean has dogs! He's says he doesn't like them! What a fuckin loser!"
"They are really cute~ They seem to be close huh..~" Lexie smiled at the pictures.
"They are inseparable. From the day I found them in the neighborhood till today." I said.
"They were disowned?" Jocelyn asked.
"Yeah. When I found them, they were in pretty bad shape. I took them in and took care of them until they were in perfect health again. Thanks to my mom teaching me how to be a vet and other stuff, I knew exactly what they needed and now look at them." I smiled.
"Look at you, loser!~ You are an amazing person for these two precious babies!" Jocelyn squealed.
"Geez you must be a heavy dog person." I smiled at Jocelyn.
"I fucking love dogs! I've always wanted one of my own!" Jocelyn said and looked at me.
I smiled and stood up. They looked at me and wondered where I was going. "I'm just gonna head to the bathroom."
"Oh okay, there's one down the hall to your left and two upstairs." Lexie said.
"Thanks." I said then walked inside then checked the first one but it was occupied as I heard the sounds of throwing up. I headed upstairs and decided to check the bathrooms upstairs.
I walked into a bathroom and used it then heard the music stop as I could still hear the music and feel the vibrations from the music. I finished peeing and flushed the toilet then washed my hands. I left the bathroom and walked downstairs then noticed Sean and Nathan was here.
"Ahh shit..." I said to myself.
"It's come to my attention that a lame bitch named Leon is at this party! Who invited him here because this is a party only for people like us!" Sean said.
I walked downstairs with my hands in my pockets and people looked at me. I looked at Sean and smirked. "Yeah...Lexie knew this would happen. She did say when you come the party was going to take a turn."
Lexie and Jocelyn walked to the front and wondered why the music stopped. They noticed Sean and Nathan then looked at me.
"Ahh so it was Lexie who invited you. So that's where we are at now, Lex? You know his never invited to any parties me, Nathan, you, or Jocelyn holds. The bitch ain't even on our status! Yeah he got a make over and surprised the campus, but that's all he's got going for him." Sean said.
"You sound like every other generic bully. That's why I never truly cared about you bullying because you aren't worth the time nor patience." I said.
Sean looked at me and glared at me. "What?"
"Face it. You just want to show out. That's all it is. It ain't nothin more than that. Trying to show your 'dominance' over me? You aren't gaining anything from pushing me around." I said.
"This clown gets a makeover and thinks he's the top dog." Nathan laughed and some people chuckled a bit.
They only see the physical side of my Makeover, but I wanted a mental make over as well. I'm mentally stronger, better, more prepared.
"Well it's not that I think I'm a top dog. I don't consider myself as one. But I think I'm hurting your masculinity because you can't break me. Right now you both look more like little boys than men." I said.
Some "ooohhhs" where heard amongst the crowd who watched this.
"You want to say that in my face?" Sean asked.
"I would love to, but your boyfriend there looks like he's ready to swing at any moment." I said then lowered my head then closed my eyes. "It's crazy how pressed you are that I got invited."
"Lexie! Kick this fucker out!" Sean yelled.
Lexie looked at Sean then at me. I looked at Lexie and smiled. I walked ahead then bumped Sean's shoulder, leaving the house.
Jocelyn watched then looked at Lexie and hurried out the house. "Leon! Why are you leaving?! She didn't say leave!"
I stopped walking and turned around to Jocelyn. "I would only cause more problems by staying. I'll catch you on Monday." I said then walked to my car.
Jocelyn watched me then looked back at Sean and Nathan. "Of course...another party ruined because of your stupid fucking issues."
Sean held up a bag of weed and smirked. "We can't have some loser smoking with us. Plus you know the rules..."
Jocelyn smacked the bag out of his hand then walked over to Lexie. "He was cool in my book."
I drove off and decided to go to the bar since the night was still young. I didn't know what I was hoping for at the bar, but I knew I had to get my drink on since I wasn't able to stay long enough to drink at the party.
I made it to the bar and parked my car then got out and walked to the doors of the bar and walked in. I walked to the counter and noticed Giovanni sitting at the bar area with three women with him. I rose my eyebrow and walked over to him.
Giovanni noticed me and smirked. "Well well...it's you again. Annabelle told me your name was Leon. Heh, glad that my business worked out for you."
I pointed at the three women and scratched the back of my head. "Those women."
"Oh these broads? Heh...success comes in many forms. Money, Fame, Women. I can tell you want to be like me, Giovanni Zayne. Owner of Dream Makeover and successful entrepreneur with countless women all over me. I can teach you to be successful like me. What do you want? Money? Fame? Women? A big house? You name it, I'll help you achieve it." Giovanni chuckled and the women giggled and looked at me.
I looked at Giovanni. "My looks alone aren't going to get me anywhere. Teach me how to be...A Casanova. That is one of my dreams not only to be more social, but to be sexually active."
Giovanni tilted his fedora down and smirked. "It's a pleasure to take you under my wing, Leon. Let's get the process started. First we need to change your entire wardrobe...I like anime too, but you can wear that all the time. Let's meet up at Trinity Square tomorrow morning, I'll teach you my ways and soon you'll be living lavishly. In the meantime, enjoy a few drinks with me."
I sat down with him and the women then began to have a couple of drinks with him.
