Chapter 5 - The existence of Aris which always makes uncomfortable

After ending her phone call with her mother, Gabriela leaned her back on the back of the chair she was sitting on.

His head looked up with a sigh that sounded very tired.

Either tired of work that is never finished even though he has done every day or tired of looking for someone who has stolen his heart who is now nowhere to go.

During these three years the man disappeared like being swallowed by the Earth, all information about him seemed to be on the block so that Gabriela could not find out.

Gabriela once asked the family of the man who had taken her heart away but her family did not know where it went, as well as Gabriela who said that Rendi disappeared like in the Swallow of the earth, her family also said that made Gabriela have to rack their brains so that she could find Rendi no matter how long she searched.

Although now there is another man who is always beside her but Aris absolutely can not replace the position of Rendi in Gabriela's heart.

The man himself also admitted that the woman who is now his wife has not opened her heart to him even though their marriage has been running for three years.

Three years is not a short time but why hasn't Gabriela been able to open her heart to Aris?

Ahhh let the time speak, Aris is very sure if someday Gabriela will love him even though Aris does not know when it will become a reality or just wishful thinking Aris only?

"Hahh... Why do I suddenly feel so tired? What makes me feel tired, or because I'm too crazy to work so there is no time to rest. But I did it all to divert my mind so that I don't keep thinking about Rendi, but if I obey I myself will fall later."

Gabriela's eyes slowly closed, "Do I have to start forgetting Rendi? After all, he didn't even try to give me news for these three years, that means he doesn't care about me anymore, right? But I don't want to forget Rendi, the one who took half my heart with her. Why do I love her so much? What did he do to me that I couldn't forget? Or is Rendi deliberately driving me crazy for thinking about it?"

His idle right hand he used to massage the cut between his eyes and nose, his head throbbing when he returned to think of his former lover.

"And mom... I've been lying to you for three years that my marriage and Aris are as good as any couple out there. Aris and I are not that romantic. How can I explain to my mother later that I will not give her a grandson from my marriage with Aris because I do not want to contain the blood of Aris."

"Are you willing to forgive me if I tell you the truth that I never loved Aris and I stayed with this marriage just because I didn't want to make them angry because I rejected the arranged marriage."

"Oh my god, why can't I find Rendi, or am I not married to him?"

Isn't Gabriela's soul mate Aris?

"If not then give me a chance to meet Rendi, I have something to tell him."

Tok tok tok

Gabriela looked when her room door was knocked then opened then a second later Gabriela straightened her sitting position and resumed her activities after knowing Aris was the one who opened the door of her room.

Who else, if not Aris, in this house there are only two of them.

"Mck, just bother."Grumbled Gabriela.

"I'm waiting for you downstairs for dinner to celebrate our third wedding anniversary honey, why don't you come down hm?"Aris asked as he walked closer to his wife who was sitting in the chair.

"Can't you see I'm working? Stop bothering me and go, I really don't want to see your face." Retorted Gabriela.

Aris smiled, "Yes, I know you're working but can't you leave it for a while, you also have to fill your energy, dear.

It's late at night you should be resting instead of working like this, after all do you still lack time at the office until you bring your work home?"

Gabriela sighed because Aris said too much, according to her, "you can be quiet, I'm finishing your work. Don't make me angry, I'm already pretty upset with you turning off the power just because you wanted to give me that insignificant surprise."

Grrtttt

"Oh my god, what are you saying. You're saying that the surprise I gave you wasn't important?"

"Of course."Gabriela said quickly while lifting both shoulders.

"That's the same as you saying that our marriage is not important to you, La."

Gabriela turned her head slightly towards Aris, "Yes, it is. Our marriage is not important, I just had to marry you."

Again this kind of problem that Gabriela talked about, couldn't the woman not discuss that again?

His words only incised a wound in Aris's heart, did Gabriela keep the heart of the man who is now her husband?

Because he did not want to end up fighting with his wife, Aris finally decided not to take his wife's words and chose to wipe Gabriela's long mane, "is there still a lot of work for you, or do I want to help? But before that it would be nice to have dinner first after that I will help you finish your work how?"

The one whose Mane had just been caressed immediately removed his head from Aris's hand, "Mck, why are you so upset to invite me to dinner. Don't you usually eat alone-"

"I eat dinner alone only on normal days, but tonight is different Gabriela."

Aris chuckled at his wife's words and took a chair and sat down not far from Gabriela, "this is our wedding anniversary, honey, isn't tonight a special night for us? Of course we should spend this evening together. I want to have dinner with you just this once. You want it, don't you?"

Gabriela ignored her husband's remarks and preferred to continue her activities, which had been delayed due to the arrival of Aris.

"I know you're just keeping yourself busy baby so you don't come to dinner with me, don't you?"

Gabriela was silent.

"I asked you to dinner not just to celebrate the wedding anniversary but I also saw that you haven't eaten, in the office you didn't eat either, right?"

Gabriela looked over, "are you spying on me? Why the hell are you doing this, Ris. I really don't like your attitude of always wanting to know what I'm doing."
