I was about to run at it again before a better idea apeared in my mind.
Putting away the spear, i aimed both hands at it and started firing 'weak light spear' and 'weak light arrow barrage'.
Due to the low damage i can do with spell, i had previously given up on it but now things have changed.
The drake can no longer fly using it's damaged wings and i highly doubt that it will rush at me due to the newfound fear of pain i just caused.
SInce it can't get close then it will cast spells.
Creatures with dragon blood are indeed born with better mana regeneration so it will try to fight an extended battle with me, unfortunately for it i have an almost infinite amount of mana.
I also have my secret weapon to kill it, which is gluttony.
Normal spells will probably never be able to inflict lethal damage but if i were to damage it a bit to limit it's mobility before starting to throw gluttonus aura at it then killing it will only be a matter of time.
"ROAR"
The drake let out a cry when some of the spells hit the same spot twice and started casting a spell but this time it was a new spell.
I braced myself for what i though would be an offensive spell but the moment it ended the casting process a pale glow wrapped around it's body.
'Healing? No, impossible even if there exist a healing spell of the earth element there is no way that a drake is able to cast it. Could this be some kind of buff?'
"DING"
The answer was given to me promptly as my spells weren't even able to scratch it's skin now.
'Ok, it's a defense buff'
Since i can't damage it with normal spells i shall use the big guns.
So i started throwing out gluttonous like there was no tomorow.
It seemed to have an affect, it was sticking to the drake and eating away at it's scales the only problem is that it is way too slow.
'Oh man, if only i could use like 'weak light spear' then it would be able to pass through it's scales quickly and start doing some serious damage.
Just when i finished having that thought the original black dust on my hand compressed and made itself look like a spear, albeit a small one.
Shocked, i quickly through it away from me and just happened to hit the drake.
"ROAAAAAAAAAAAR!!"
The drake let out the biggest cry yet, the gluttonus spear pierced through it's scales and started wreaking havoc in it's flesh.
This scene quicly remined me of the description of gluttony.
'Mana can be used to create Gluttonus aura which can be used in every way the user may desire.'
I am such a retard, i could have made my life so much easier.
Imagine instead of having to empty my hand to cast gluttony i could make a dagger and stab it right through their heart.
Quickly conjuring another one i went ahead and send it out but it turn into it's normal form in the middle of the air.
'What the fuck is going on."
I quickly tried to think what was wrong and the realised that all my mana was empty.
'Even with all the mana i am currently getting i can't cast this thing in close succession?! Just how much mana does this thing need.'
While i was making sense of the situation the drake, which by the way was pissed that it still got hurt even after the buff, started opening it's mouth nad gathering mana to fire another 'dragon breath'.
Seeing this i was about to dodge when suddenly an idea came to mind.
I gathered all my mana, which was now full, made the biggest spear i could make out of gluttonus aura and shot it right at the jaw of the drake.
For the first time in this battle the height difference gave me a huge advantage.
The spear shot right at his jaw and shut close it's mouth just before it could release it's 'dragon breath'.
The following scene was a shitshow, the dragon breath exploded in it's mouth ripping clean of the lower jaw.
This had as an effect that the usualy strait beam attack was now all over the place, the tiny beams of mana shot were countless and they even came out of the back of it's neck.
I was hit 3 times and even with the 'enchanced body' skill they still went right through me, 1 went to my left hand but it just grazed it so it didn't cause all that much damage.
The other 2 thought went right through the stomach, thanks Theresia that is was just the stomach and not some other organ or there might have been serious problems even if i were to finish off this drake.
The drake on the other hand was in a situation that can no longer be called simply lethal.
There were holes everywhere on it's body and when i mean everywhere i mean EVERYWHERE.
It's neck was now hanging on by a small piece of flesh and it's vocal cords were completely destroyed so it's can't even let out a scream from the huge amount of pain it is currently feeling.
Remember kids, never do a charge up move in the middle of combat, NEVER.
On the other hand i can't help but be impressed by the sheer amount of vitality it has, even in this situation it's still alive.
This is the moment i get close to it and arrogantly express my superiority by stomping on it's head...
'Puchi'
The spear mad of gluttony went strait in it's head.
[Ding]
[User has leveled up]
No way in hell i am doing something like this, do you remember what happens in this types of situations, the enemy somehow uses a new type of spell that either cuts of one of your limbs or cast some kind of fucked up curse on you!
Anyway you get the picture, this dungeon is hard enough as it is, i have no intention to make it even harder.
Shaking my head i take out a knife and started taking important pieces of the drake like the spine, horns, what is left of it's teeth, scales and so on, as for things like organs and meat then i will just use gluttony, it's a shame since they can be used as potions meterials but i truly have no time to do such a thing.
After that is finished i started using 'weak rejuvenation', i might have used 'perfect body manipulation' to lessen the bleeding but i still need my rather serious wounds to heal it correctly.
I highly doubt that i will be able to fully heal with just 'weak rejuvenation', but only by using it will i be able to level it up, there is also an aboundance of mana since i still have so many corpses left so there is no reason for mana reservation.
.....
It has now been 2 days since i finished my battle with the drake.
I am currently making my way down the stairs to the next dungeon floor.
My wounds have yet to heal and 'weak rejuvenation' has only reached level 7, the amount of corpses i had also was greatly reduced.
I figured that i would have enough mana to level it up to 10 so i just gave up for now.
On another note, the drake had 3 drops.
1 was a skill book for dual short sword mastery and the other 2 were potions.
I tried to figure out what kind of potions they were but my 'production' skill is still low level so i can't do anything about it.
I also got the huge pile of shiny stuff that the drake was resting on when i entered.
It was the combinations of 9 mana stones, around 10000 gold coins and some kind of minerals.
I honestly don't have the slightest clue as to how this drake got it's hand on gold coins but i realy can't be bothered to use my brain on this kind of stuff.
Little did he know that these coins were given to it by previous users after begging for their lifes.
The stairs remind me of how i first found the dungeon gate, which let me tell you doesn't please me in the least bit.
Finaly after 20 minutes of walking i reached the second floor of the dungeon.
Just after i walked of the stairs they disappeared, i hadn't read anything about this in the books but then again i hadn't read anything about challenge dungeons so i guess it makes sense that some thing work different here.
The safe-zone was the exact same as the previous one with the only difference being that it has slightly darker colloured ground.
I looked around for a bit before i went and opened the door,
Outside was pitch black, even with my enhanced senses i could hardly make out what was infront of me.
I looked around for a bit, making sure that there isn't anything here before i moved my legs to get out.
The moment i attempted to move my legs a huge sense of crisis fell on me, the only time i felt such danger is when the drake first casted 'dragon breath'.
I immediately froze and backed of and tried very cerefuly to look around to see what was going on but seeing nothing i attempted to move my legs again.
This situation repeated many time to the point i sterted guessing that my skill broke.
Just as i was about to say 'fuck it' and jump out i looked just outside of the door.
It should have been the same height as safe-zone floor but outside was a couple centimeters higher.
I knelt down and took a closer view before my jaw dropped and my eyes went wide as saucers.
My hairs raised on end and my spine was tingling.
This wasn't the floor, it was fist sized ants that are stuck right next to each other!
