Chapter 5 - Chapter 4

While her sisters are bickering about a new cheerleader in the team, Robin hopelessly tries to explain the perfect environment for his jar of ants on David and Amanda who asks Mason over and over to come out of his room, Moanah sings a song in her head. She tries to block all the fighting and noise out while she puts the plates on the table.

Amanda sighs and stirs the spaghetti sauce. "Oh, forget it" she mumbles and looks up to Tristan. "Tristan is Jimmy eating with us" asks Amanda. Tristan nods and takes two glasses.

As if she didn't notice him yet, Moanah looks op at Tristan his best friend...

The young muscular and taller boy has a sneaky smile curled on his thin light lips. His pale face, long white blond hair and bright blue eyes give him a cold, almost scary look. The boy with Danish roots is the same as Tristan, all dressed in black. Black jeans tucked into a pair of combat boots, a black leather jacket over a shirt of the band Trivium, and a black open vest.

Hungry, Hope looks at the boy's strong muscular body. He is slightly taller than her, but that doesn't bother her. All she cares about is that it has a penis.

Without word he sits down next to Tristan. His eyes burning on Moanah, who sits across him. Slightly uncomfortable Moanah looks at Mason who sits next to her.

"Mason, get your hair out of your face" Amanda orders. Mason ignores her once more. "Now I must say, your father sounded very angry on the phone, so I suspect we will have a good chat after dinner" Amanda sighs and divides the plates with David's help. When no one responds she starts to eat.

"Evening" greets Ian and walks in. He hastily removes his jacket followed by his shoes and kisses Amanda. "Hello Jimmy" he smiles. "We just started," Amanda says and hands him a plate. Ian smirks and sits down. "How was everyone's day," he asks. Inaudible murmurs can be heard. Ian looks at Mason stirring his food. Mason, "take your head off your fist" he orders. Mason sighs and removes his elbow from the table. "Now I got a phone call from the principal... I was very disappointed so I'll just begin immediately with it. Something must change. And not tomorrow, no right now. If not... You will all feel the consequences. Do I have everyone his attention?" Everyone nods.

"David?" David looks up from his phone at Ian. "Ye?" "Look I know, you love sports. You are good at it and it means a lot to you. I get that it's important. But you know what else is important... School! You will study, fill in your books. Make sure you are not behind anymore and most important, you will finish your homework. All of it. Until that is done, you cannot go to practice anymore. And you are grounded." "What" yells David and drops his knife in the pasta. "Come on, that is totally unfair! You know I can get a scholarship with my sport! Mom?!" Amanda shakes her head. "You will do as told" she says sternly. David grunts. He crosses his arms. "Haha" whispers Hope and points her finger. David glares at her. "Whore" whispers David back. "Come now" says Amanda. "Hey" yells Ian but it is already too late. David throws spaghetti straight onto Hope's face. "Mom" she shouts out loud. "Dumbo" scolds Selina defensively and takes a string of spaghetti. David laughs when she misses him completely.

Tristan looks up and wipes the piece of spaghetti from his face. A murderous look into his eyes. "What the hell is your problem" he swears and throws the pasta back.

"Enough" Ian shouts, but it is already too late. The spaghetti just keeps flying all over the table. Sighing Moanah tries not to get involved.

"That's it" Ian roars loud and stands up. Surprised everyone looks up. Mason removes a piece of spaghetti from his hair. "You act like Wildman or baby's, even Kaylee eats better as you guys. Now we are going to settle this. Right now," he shouts while he takes one by one the plaits away. Tristan puts his trinket in his plate and sighs. He leans back angrily. "You can keep your plate Jimmy" Ian scoffs. He places all the plates except Jimmy and Kaylee's on the counter and sits down again.

"First of all, you shouldn't laugh Hope" begins Ian and looks down at her. "Except the fact that you have detention tomorrow you also are grounded for two weeks. And the same counts for you Selina. We do not hit people! And yes, that means no cheerleading this weekend!" Upset both girl's protest. Ian raises his hand to silence the protesting girls. "Tristan, wipe that smile off your face. You're also grounded and no band rehearsal this weekend." "What the hell have I done" Tristan curses. "Let's start with the pile of homework you need to finish first shall we" says Ian obviously upset. Tristan sighs and crosses his arms, grumbling. Jimmy looks up at Tristan. "Mason." Mason slowly looks up. "Get your hair out of your face. And don't let me say it twice." Sighing Mason shifts his hair away of his black eye. "Mason," asks Ian in shock. Amanda looks at him indignantly. "Selina, hope" yells Ian to silence their laughter. Immediately both girls stop laughing. "Mason, who's responsible for that?" When Mason doesn't answer, Ian sighs. Silently, Mason pushes away the cloth that Amanda wants to put on his eye. "Mason, you're going to have a conversation with the school's student council tomorrow" Ian says quickly before Mason can respond. "And what is that," Ian asks, looking at the patch under Mason's wrist. "Mason" Ian sighs and stands up. "Let go of me" grumbles Mason, but Ian doesn't give up. He looks indignantly at the patches on Mason's forearms. "Mason" Ian sighs and looks at the blood that drips from the bandage. He knows what this is. Mason stands up in silence and runs up the stairs. Ian closes his eyes when he hears his room door slam.

Comforting Amanda takes his hand. "Emo" mocks Selina. "Selina room now" orders Ian. Selina groans and walks up to her room.

Ian sits down again and looks at Moanah. "Moanah" he begins. "Have I done something wrong?" Ian shakes his head. "On the contrary" he says but before he can finish a piece of spaghetti flies on Moanah her chest. Offended she looks at Jimmy. Jimmy, who feels the burning eyes on him suddenly, looks up to Moanah. He swallows and puts his finger to Kaylee.

As if that was her cue, Kaylee laughs out loud and splashes once again in the pasta. Ian chuckles. "Sorry Jimmy" laughs Ian and looks again to Moanah. "So, I was saying, you did something good. You may skip a class. From tomorrow on you will find yourself in the same class as Tristan." "What," asks Tristan and Moanah. " Why the fuck my class again" Tristan yells angry. "Tristan" says Ian warningly. Tristan sighs deep, rolls his eyes and lets his back hang in the couch. Moanah smiles uncomfortably.Moanah looks uncomfortably at Jimmy. An amusing smile rests on his lips as he looks at her.

"Now" Ian sighs and takes Mason his food. He nods to everyone and walks upstairs.

"Mason" he asks and knocks. "Mason?" When Mason does not respond he walks into the dark room. "Mason" Ian begins and looks at the teenager. So much pain, so much sorrow flows from him. He sits at the back of his bed with arms crossed. Ian puts his plate on the dresser and sighs. He starts "Mason" and sits down next to him. He remains silent when Mason wipes a tear from the corner of his eye. "Oh Mason" Ian whispers and lovingly hugs his son.
