Chapter 395 - Cyrpheruss Invasion Part 2: Battle in the Sands

(General POV)

Location the Warhammer 40k World-The Materium/Realspace: The Outer Rim of the Milky Way-North, Outside of Anarkarr Stars-Tombworld Cyrpheruss Surface-Necron vs. Daemons of Chaos

The four daemonic forces of Chaos, have emerged from Immaterium, with four various Elder Daemons leading each respective daemonic army, Gallon the Elder Daemon of Plagues leading a massive army of nurglish daemons, slowly marching to battle the Necrons.

With Kratos leading the khornate forces were ones that started to march ahead of the rest of the daemonic forces, with Mordred and the laharlish daemons, mix with Kratos and Gallon's armies, lastly the tzeentchian forces lead by the Curseling, Vilitch, remain in the back of the massive combine daemon forces.

Meanwhile Ahhephokh, seeing the daemons charging straight at his forces he smashed the end of his staff onto the ground, sending some cerebral commands to his warriors, and deathmarks all started firing a barrage of neon green, plasma blasts at the daemons.

Vilitch seeing the upcoming enemy barrage, he rised his tzeentchian staff up in the air, while his brother Thomin was charging them ahead, Vilitch commanding their Greater Daemons, (Lords of Change & Malachis) started to surge their daemonic magic through their bodies, to cast a massive barrier over their khornate, and laharlish "allies" ahead of them.

Thus the Necron's plasma blasts, crashed against the tzeentchian magic barrier, successfully protecting their fellow daemons, with the necrons being countered in a way that Ahhephokh never experienced, before then some cyclopian starfishes (decarabias) swarm ahead with burgundy colored carapace colored, daemons, (observers) flooring sluggish beside the decarabias, as they began their attack.

With the decarabias using a barrage of mazio lightning spells, with the effect of targeting all the enemies by one spell casting, as yellow and blue tinted lightning bolts crash down on the necrons, Ahhephokh screamed in pain, which greatly shocked him that he could feel pain!!!

Never experiencing magical damage, less with the unpredictable nature of tzeentchian magic, it affected them in ways that should be impossible, stunned by the magical lightning, surging through their necrodermis bodies, the Observers open their "mouths" revealing a massive maroon colored eyeball, firing raw daemonic energy blasts onto the stunned, Necrons.

The barrage combination of the decarabias and observers, cause some loses to the Necron Warriors' overall numbers, along with causing some damage to the rest of their army, this initial strike allowed the rest of the Daemons of Chaos, to get much closer to their targets and face their enemies' greatest weakness, melee.

When the (Mazio) spell bombardment finally stopped, and as Ahhephokh was recovering, and his systems were restoring back to normal, and as his vision system recovered, he saw the daemons were almost upon them, groaning angrily he pointed hus staff, forward and giving the command to his recovering necrons to march, and attack.

Recovering enough to comply the commands of their Overlords, with hundreds of Necron Warriors started to stand back up, and lift their gauss weapons, as their green, threatening eyes are focused on their enemies and start walking forward, blasting at the daemons.

The khornate daemons, increased their charging speed, leaving the protection of barrier from the tzeentchian daemons.

The bloodletters, flesh hounds, juggernauts, wrathful cerberuses, and hell wraths, charge straight against the necron warriors and canoptek scarabs that swarm with the warriors causing a massive clash.

While this beginning clash occurs, the laharlish daemons of knightmares, stalkers, mortfinis, and hell lusts, join by khornate daemons in the fight, as they were slashing, stabbing, striking, biting, and burning their necron enemies.

Meanwhile the necron deathmarks, scarabs, and the canoptek arachnids and centipedes call the tomb sentinels, and spyders were charging at some nurglings, plaguebearers, plague toads, and some mounted toads by plaguebearers called pox riders, along with carnage daemons joining their battle, succubi, hell lusts, death stingers, and some mounted wasp daemons called allure stingers, engaged these necrons.

As the six-armed deathmarks aim at the fliers, firing pulse-blasts of green plasma at the allure stingers and death stingers, but their targets were fast and easily dodge their blasts, meanwhile on their feet the nurglings and scarabs were swarming each other...in all honesty it's quite funny, seeing cheering and rambunctious nurglings doing their usual shenanigans, to fight against the soulless machine insects, jumping and scratching at the bloated imps...as the sentinels were fighting against the pox riders and plague toads, while the dark and apexstalkers provided some assistance against the necron centipedes.

At the sametime the spyder was blasting at the remaining daemons, while spawning more scarabs that immediately went on the attack against the largest number of plague daemons, the nurglings.

Ahhephokh, seeing all the fighting among his advancing forces, he decided to sent some of his forces aside to head away from main battleground, and activate the aircrafts to do his original plan.

But then Bloodthirsters and Balrogs started to charge the separating forces of the necrons, meanwhile the a large force of necron warriors were fighting against some bloodletters, plaguebearers, and knightmares, when strong earthshaking, and the sound great stomping was closing into the fighting area between the daemons and necrons.

Before the necrons systems could identify or locate the approaching threat, the white sandy terrain beneath them shuke in greater intensity than before.

Then three, colossal and long, brownish tone, worm like entities emerged from the ground, smashing the necron warriors with intense force, and brutality.

Then the "worms" bodies were releasing maggots, flies, and gnat from their withered flesh, at the ends of these "worms" antler horned hound-skulls, it was Gallon using one of his attacks to extend and tunnel throught the earth using his heads.

Growling the three heads of Gallon, before two of the head used their diseased, infected, maggot-ridden, barbed tongues to attack several of the necron warriors, while the final head breath out, pure acidic vile at his victims.

Thus causing great amounts of damage, along with receiving cheers from his fellow plague daemons, as the nearby necron warriors, scanned for the Gallon's main body.

After a few second, scanners detected the colossal form of Gallon, from the four massive masses of Warp-energy, sending a message to other units of their army, as sentinels, spyders, and hundreds of warriors turned to face their target.

As Gallon massive, festering body has his heads, still buried/tunneling into the underground of Cyrpheruss, all locked to strike at Gallon, while his extended heads were destroying other of their necron kin, as these necrons were charging at Gallon, their scanners picked up another massive spike of daemonic energy, another Elder Daemon was making his way to provide aid to Gallon's still form.

Turning to the east, they saw a dark armored, giant winged daemon with a massive sword with what appears to be a spear handle, this is Mordred Deathharbinger, pointing his massive bolter-mounted claw at the necrons and start shooting, heavy, rapid-fire bolt rounds at them.

Each daemonic infused round, exploded with unimaginable force and power, against the necrons necrodermis, blowing and destroying chucks off these xenos.

It was almost inconceivable to the necrons the level of damage that this daemon is causing them, in response the still standing necron warriors turned their gauss weapons at Mordred, and began blasting.

But unfortunately for the necrons, they didn't know Mordred's special abilities, immunity to all physical damage, which included their energy attacks.

Mordred growled, as he started walking forward, still shooting his daemonic heavy-bolter at his victims, the necron warriors along with their canoptek constructs were to involved in dealing with the encroaching threat, that they failed to see Gallon retract his heads from underground.

Standing tall, menacing, putrid horrific, majesty, as Gallon began to laugh in a deep, mature, and downright regal sounding voice.

Addressing the necrons, struggling against his "ally", "What folly. In the foolhardy quest, to escape death. Only to lose what is means to be alive. And finally achieving the natural cycle, that you've been, running from...face death, false immortals." Gallon swiped his ooze coated, skeletal claws at the necrons, crushing, slashing, and corroding those caught in his vile claws.

Then Mordred has finally reached the fight, and swung his giant sword, Slaughterbane, cleaving easily through it prey, as these poor necrons were engaged in battle with two Elder Daemons at a time.

All over the white sand, desolate, battleground that is Cyrpheruss the two greatest, and most feared, soulless forces in the world were engaged in furious battle.

As the Soulless Wars, progressed the surge of energy, was felt across the Anarkarr Stars, and was drawing in more daemonic forces to join the carnage, bloodshed, death, and unpredictability happening in the planet.

All the while the Dark Gods, were watching intently at the course that the Soulless War, was progressing...

Location the Immaterium: The Neutral Zone of Chaos, the Mount Olympus-The Palace of the Dark Gods; The Council Chamber of Calamities

Here all the Chaos Gods were gathered, Laharl, his wives and children, Khorne and his family, Nurgle and his family, and lastly Tzeentch and Mitochondria Eve, have come to their council chamber on Mount Olympus, to watch the progress of their daemons against the necrons.

They decided it would be better to watch together, and also even if it's highly unlikely the Dark One, suggested they use their divine presence and influence to block any warp-surge that might alert any C'tan/Star God shard from learning that the necrons might be able to forcibly awaken, like many GW stories of the Imperium, accidentally or cause of war awaken the tomb underneath their feet, so logically even sealed and shattered the C'tan, might be able to someway awaken their jailers.

So in the side of caution, he told his brothers and sisters-in-law of these "rival" Gods, that will be the greatest annoyance...next to Cegorach...that they have to deal with.

As they watched the battle going on to the second day, they drank their brew of Ambrossia, while their girls Limos, Eveline, and Painwheel were in the center of the chamber, in a special round table for them eating and bonding with each other as cousins, Nurgle, Aiikila, Khorne, and Valkia were happy that their daughters were getting along.

Khorne complemented his older brother's, Elder Daemon, and before he can say what Laharl already guesses that the Blood God, was about to say, and he said, "Don't even ask Khorne...I already have enough with Nurgle trying to take my Belzebub, and Tzeentch with Ba'al. I don't need you, annoyingly me with Mordred. So let me stop you there...no." this respond made Ragna, Jade, Camilla, and Crystallyl laugh at their poor husband's misfortune.

This of course, annoyed Khorne, while Nurgle and Tzeentch laugh at their older brothers, returning to the Soulless War, the battle was becoming greater violence with Vilitch fighting off against necrons.

Location the Materium/Realspace: The Outer Rim of the Milky Way-North, Outside of Anarkarr Stars-Tombworld Cyrpheruss Surface-Necron vs. Daemons of Chaos

The second day of the Soulless Wars...

The tzeentchian forces were fighting all-around their Elder Daemon, Vilitch.

Speaking of the Curse Twins, Thomin were crushing and cutting down necrons left and right, his great form overwhelming the necron warriors, while Thomin's twin, he used the magic lore of lightning to channel, multi-blue lightning magical energy through his staff, as Vilitch was casting [Thunder Burst] spell, with a wicket smile he pointed his staff to the right, and blasted a massive, magical lightning beam at his victims.

Not only were dozens of necron warriors, oblirated by the spell, but also a Deathmark was caught in the blast, Vilitch laughed, as he swung around his staff in the air, along with his plumage blow in the wind as well, and he spoke, "See that brother!? This is my almighty power!!" Thomin kicked a necron with his daemonic, armored foot, and after grunting he responded, "Yes I have. Can you now focus, on destroying these vermin, now!?" Vilitch chuckled, as he fire bolts of magic at their enemies.

In another part of the battlefield, Ahhephokh just crushed a knightmare under foot, and using his Abyssal Staff, he blasted a couple of lesser daemons, a succubus and a bloodletter, banishing them back into the Immaterium.

As some spyders and sentinels crawled beside him, and blasted green-plasma at the lesser daemons, when a Great Unclean One, came stomping towards him and his canoptek constructs, making a robotic sounding, iratated groaning noise, he started blasting the Greater Daemon, and commanded his minions to fire as well.

But being a Greater Daemon of Plague, he could soak large amount of damage, without any sort of pain, along with every blast that hit his bloated, massive, infected scab and puss ridden body, sustained damage, dozens of nurglings, burst out the body of the massive, rotting daemon.

It has been two days, since the war started and the necrons were suffering a slight larger loss than the daemons, only because Ahhephokh's spyders initiating reanimation protocols, on the more in tact fallen to rise again and fight against his enemies.

He noticed that these vile warpspawns, weren't sparing any of the fallen, causing massive amounts of unrestrained damage to his minions both standing and fallen.

So Ahhephokh decided a more aggressive approach against the daemons, with the Greater Daemons and the those daemons that from what his scanners detected, the four unique and more powerful daemons are the leaders that are keeping, all these daemons together.

That's when the Great Unclean One, wielding a massive, rusted bileblade, has stomped closer to Ahhephokh.

This means, a great battle between him and the Great Unclean One, as another part of the battlefield a large amount of nurglish daemons were fighting against some other necrons.

Plaguebearers, mukwalkers, and repulsive khaos were fighting, the necron warriors blasting their gauss weapons, at Nurgle's daemons, with some of the repulsive khaos being destroyed and spraying vile and tumors onto the ground.

The mukwalkers, the muk covered earth elemental daemons of Nurgle, were slowly stalking their way to their targets, receiving some damage from the necrons' blasts, but a peculiar ability, that through contact with the element of their composition, they can slowly regenerate and keep fighting.

Resulting in a brutal stalemate between these daemons and necrons in their battleground.

Meanwhile with the legions of the Blood God, Kratos and his khornate kin were butchering a large number of necrons, as Kratos fired daemonic fire-arrows, onto the sentinels eyes, causing them to explode in magical hellfire, all the khornate daemons from bloodletters, blood valkyries, and garitros, were feeling invigorated, more stronger, and bloodthirsty than usual, and it was all because of the Hallowed Blood Temples, floating over them.

The gifted Hallowed Temples, from the Dark One to the Blood God, are composed of red brass, metal, and volcanic rock, with spiked spire like columns with dangling brass chains, that hook on, flaming skulls.

Eight black, spiked torches with a bunch of skulls chained together, and lit on hellfire on these torches, the altar is deep pool of boiling blood, with skulls and bones floating into the blazing pool of blood, and lastly a long, ram-horned maidens, which is wears blood stained robes and armors.

These maidens are bleeding from their eyes, and their gauntlet equipped arms are resting at the top of a double-edge battle axe, baring Khorne's symbol, seven bleeding banshees swim and protect the Hallowed Temples, as the Hallowed Blood Temples function is greatly affect not only the blood daemons, but the more weaker mortal souls, enhancing their wrath and bloodlust to unimaginable levels.

As well as increase all physical attributes, while weakening all magical attributes...the Dark One said to his brother he was threolly impressed...while Tzeentch cursed Khorne for actually making something that will cause a great annoyance to him and his followers...

But returning to the khornate legion's, slaughter of the necrons, Kratos even gave a strict order to all the blood daemons, to stab their blades through the head of the fallen, so all claimed skulls can't be taken from them or their Dark God, should the rise again.

Honestly Kratos and his daemons found it slightly amusing to be able to face and kill a victim more than once...as long as they prove a worthy challenge.

Kratos put away his [Bow of Apollo], and changed to his [Spear of Destiny] instead of its former purple glow and crystal, it became blood red, and emanating as much bloodlust as it eternal master and wielder.

Tightening his grip, as the necron enemies were marching towards his forces, in the moment that they began blasting him, he twisted his body to guard the incoming green energy-blasts, with his [Golden Fleece] upon hitting his fleece, it absorbed the blast making it and Kratos shoulders in a red glow.

With a swipe of his arms he returned the energy attack stronger than the original attack, causing a great explosion between the necrons taking advantage of the opportunity, Kratos pointed his double-bladed spear at the enemy, yelling out the order of "Attack!!".

Kratos lead the latest charge, leaping forwards and stabbing his spear onto a necron, causing a red energy burst, blowing up the necron.

Kratos continued his assault, with a combination of slashes and pierces, and on some moments his spear conjured, red crystals either on the white sand, or on the forms of the enemies, causing powerful explosions.

A necron tried to stab the "bayonet blade" on his gauss cannon, only for Kratos block and stab his spear onto the Necron's right leg at the upper joint, tearing and exploding the point.

As the necron fell to the ground, Kratos kicked the xeno onto his back, then stabbing his spear, deeply through the necron's back, as sparks flied and placing his right knee onto the back of his victim, grabbing onto the necron's head and began to smash the head of the xeno over and over, until using his daemonic, herculean tear off the necron head.

Lifting his prize, high into the air, he yelled out, "LORD KHORNE!!! ANOTHER SKULL, FOR YOUR GLORY!!!! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONES!!!!!"
