Chapter 181 - War in the Plague Garden Part 1: Invasion of the Garden Begins

(General POV)

Location the Plague Garden of Nurgle

In the disgusting, vile, filt ridden lands of Nurgle filled with slime, muck, and actual bulbous sacks of puss scattered the sickly green lands.

Filled with living decaying trees some with actual maws and fleshy tentacles that rather in the air, similar to some parts that also have this festering wounds/mouths on the ground, fungus growing strong and abundant all over the Plague Garden.

Litteral grand pools of indescribable things bubble and flow across the sickening hellscape...

As a giant gathering force of Nurgle, was marching through this disgusting place at the behest of their dear Grandfather, with thousands of nurglings rolling forward, a legion of plaguebearers lead by the remaining heralds of Nurgle poxbringers, with a couple of spoilpox scriveners on the back yelling out insults and commanding the legion of lesser daemons to march and fight the invaders.

Sloppity Bilepipers were playing their grotesque organ made bagpipes, while dancing and merry across the battlefield, in the air hundred of Plague Drones were leading the Rot Flies to battle, while Pox Riders lead the bloated, ward covered amphibious daemons known Plague Toad onto battle by ground.

Several slow crawling Plague Snails were accompanied by the grotesque Beast of Nurgle all leading their disgusting greenish yellow trails of thick slime as they crawled forward.

That and the greater daemons of Nurgle were heading this infectious parade of decay, and death to battle.

Seven Great Unclean Ones were at the head of each force the one task to lead this massive army in defense of the garden is name, Rotigus Rainmaker a rising great unclean one that was originally going to be send to the Alderi worlds but the Plaguefather instead send Ulkair in his place, leaving Rotigus to command the defense of the Garden.

Rotigus was gaining his moniker and power for the storm of putrid filth-water that seethed with infectious, bacterial life that he is also currently congering, this storm is called Nurgle's Deluge.

The ripped shroud wearing Greater Daemon with short, thick horns piercing through his shroud, the Great Unclean One was humming happily at the thought of facing and crushing the infidels that dare attack the Plague God's Garden, tightly holding his "staff" called the Gnarlrod a decaying tree with twisting branches holding small bells of the Plague God, with it Rotigus has been enhancing and focusing his strong psychic/magical energy waiting to be unleashed on these daemons of blood and carnage.

Speaking of the legions of Khorne and Laharl respectfully, they both have entered the Garden's edge.

Khorne and Valkia were quite appalled by the Plague God's domain, but Laharl was actually impressed thinking "GW was giving Nurgle's Garden no justice in those books. This place looks like a hellhole not even rats...well exception of Clan Pestilens...would even dare live in, this place make tumors and lepers look beautiful and appealing in comparison. Man if SEGA had the balls, to let TW make this place more accurate no one would be able to hold their stomach in." and just when the Dark One was done saying that in his head, he heard someone vomit.

Both Blood and Carnage Daemons stepped away from...Ragna...as she puked, which surprised Laharl of his three gathered wives he expected Ragna to be able to handle the vile smells and disgusting sights, or at least Scalpel being the one that was barfing at the moments but when the Dark One turned to his said nurse wife, she was cool and calm.

Walking in the muck without a care and handing Ragna something to help her stomach, Ragna expressed gratitude as she puked again...

Valkia actually laughed at her sister-in-law, as Khorne got everyone serious again as he already felt the closing presence of countless plague daemons coming towards their location.

This excited the khornate daemons, and Ruu who is jumping around eager to play and eat...Khorne turned to Laharl to plan the attack which the Dark One responded that it wasn't needed he'll lead his forces to charge through the east while Khorne he would lead his legion straight into the Garden.

Agreed upon the two Chaos Forces split in their attack direction, as Ragna felt better and eager to drench herself in blood and kill Nurgle's little daemons, Scalpel drew her unique and twisted power hacksaw looking quite sinister and menacing, and Ruu she was her usual childish monster self.

The forces of Laharl left to the east, going deeper into the plaguelands but just when he was about to leave he heard his brother yell out, "Just Remember Not To Whine When You Lose Brother!!!!!" Laharl chuckled a bit before responding back, "Why Would I Whine At Winning, Khorne!!!?" as he flew away leading his legion into the Garden.

While the Blood God watched his brother and his legions marched into Nurgle's domain, he grin inside his brass helm and with a straight swing of his blade Unmaker, he gave out the order, "ATTACK!!!!" with a fearsome roar the legion of blood has also entered the Garden.

Three forces will soon meet at the battlefield as they march through pestilence filled realm of the Grandfather.

Rotigus still slowly making their way to the invaders which to the Great Unclean One's surprise have separated into two massive forces, but still the daemonic disease filled giant, laughs with joy as he rised his left bloated arm in the fool air revealing the nasty daemon face shown through the teared flesh with sharp-teeth and one green eye exposed this second face yelled to all the other nurglish daemons, that their many fools yet to be enlightened by the grace, and kindness of their dark master and it was time they received the blessings of Nurgle, as the aquamarine tentacles wiggled and swayed in the air from that said arm, all the plague daemons cheered, invogored for battle.

Rotigus Rainmaker, started to empower his storm showering all his forces infectious rain, revitalizing them as they continue their march focusing on the approaching forces to the north, filled with so much bloodlust...

During this the two daemonic legions of Carnage and Blood respectfully track through the ick and murk, composed of the entirety of the Garden.

Khorne and Valkia's forcing making a direct march deeper into the realm of the Decay Lord, cutting down everything in their way.

From the rot trees, abundance of fungie, the plague flowers, and the disgusting tentacles that grew allover the realm.

Not only the florah was hostile but the air itself was foul and putrid to them all.

Some of the more recently and weaker daemons mainly bloodletters feel to the carrier and toxins in the realm, falling dead and returning their essense to the realm of blood leaving their bodies to be stampled by their not caring kin, further digging their corpses into the mud, slime, and muck of the Garden.

But no of that mattered to the legions of Khorne, only meant they were weak and unworthy of joining the upcoming slaughter and brutality!

Still tracking through the disgusting landscape, Khorne continued to stomp forward eager for battle, thirsty for blood, and excite to win the bet between him and Laharl.

He could feel the same bloodlust, and battle hunger emenating from all his force and seems they'll be able to sastify them now.

Both Blood Gods saw the incoming giant force of Nurgle, lead by a massive green grotesque daemon wielding a rotting tree in his hand, (Great Unclean One/Rotigus Rainmaker) whatever these daemons were called it matter not to the Blood God, for all will soon fall to his blade and minions.

[It just my perspective that since this the first encounter between Khorne and Nurgle they don't know anything of one another, in a logical stand point.]

With a simple gesture of pointing his colossal, daemonic, greatsword, Unmaker at the Nurgle forces was enough for his legion as all his daemons charge forward to battle.

Rushing forward with their hellblades held high were the legions of bloodletters lead by a stronger and more armored high-daemon a Rendmaster, a few were even bestowed with Khorne latest chariot the Bloodthrones.

These eight chosen, Rendmasters lead the charge upon these twisted daemon engines only sorta matched in pace with calvary of bloodcrushers led by another kind of high-daemons known as Skullmasters, golden brass armored juggernaut riders all rushing to claim first blood.

In between the charging forces of bloodletters were the Beast of Khorne, the Juggernauts snarling and breathing out sparks of hellfire as they charge forward like rampaging rynos.

Also in the mix were the Greater Daemons of Blood, Bloodthirsters armed with one of several infernal weapons, from Great Hellblades, a pair of Hell Axes or a Barbed Infernal Whip, or a Great Axe of Khorne.

These winged crimson skinned daemons were under the direct command of their superior and ascended, Skarbrand the Ascended, the giant elder daemon of burning wings and mane was at the head of this whole charge, a honor that Khorne commanded him before in the Blood Lands.

Just before the two forces meet, Khorne commanded Karanak to start charging and leading his pack of Flesh Hounds to attack at the side, aiming for the jugular of the enemy.

Karanak took some steps forwards, it's massive paws squishing into green mud, as he growled the giant three-headed flesh hound looking at the prey, growled and snarled louder before bringing back his head and howling to the sky, giving his pack the command to attack!

With barks, and roars as soon as Karanak rushed forward so did the millions of flesh hounds that make-up the pack of the Hound of the Blood God.

Next to charge and join in the battle was Valkia and her daughters, her grip on her spear Slaupnir and rising her Daemonshield the Gorequeen really wanted to enjoy the upcoming bloodshed, so she shrunk down to a mortal size and with a blood curling roar like a angry banshee, all her daughters the Blood Valkyries gathered around her as she spread her wings and took to the air.

All around her, the blood valkyries were flying beside the Blood Goddess as they flew straight into the frey!

This made Khorne laugh a little, once again commenting on the beauty of his wife, as he spun around his sword he commanded the spawn turned daemon Scyla Anfingrimm to join his newest servents the Balrogs in their charge.

Khorne plan was simple and straightforward sending wave after wave of his legions to slaughter Nurgle's forces, as he gains more body counts as he could muster before Laharl and his forces join the battle.

Grasping Unmaker with both hands, he stomped forward also joining the battle and finally getting to soak his blade and hand blood after so many, many centuries, this will be the second time that Khorne has ever enter the battlefield personally, unlike his brother who can enjoy this thrill whenever he pleases, Khorne though that soon he to will be able to enjoy endless battle and bloodshed once he won this battle!!!

Remaining his Godly form, Khorne was a titan his sheer size and power easily made him surpass all his charging forwards, and get into range of delivering the first blow in this war, along with claiming first.

Running across the open disgusting plain that will serve as a battlefield between Khorne's forces and Rotigus, Khorne took one more heavy stomp with his right foot, using the momentum he has created to turn his body, to perform a massive and powerful overhead, downward swing the titanic, crimson and black daemonic sword descended upon the Plaguebearers below and in one swift moment...hundreds of plague daemons were slain by Khorne himself, crushed and burned under the blade of the Blood God.

And with that the battle started, as Khorne slowly pulled his sword back, his legion rushed past him and the rest of Nurgle's army finally close the gap, finally starting the Second Chaos Wars...
