Chereads / Reborn as a Chaos God of Carnage / Chapter 161 - Terrors to Come

Chapter 161 - Terrors to Come

(General POV)

Location the depths of the Abyssal Library the Chamber of Prophecies

As Ba'al entered his trance and dived into the "Web of Time" Laharl waited patiently for his Elder Daemon to start speaking...

It took but a moment before the beholder daemon started talking first of Nurgle, prophesying his coming birth as he said, "The Plague God will be born, when in the edge of the Materium will suffer a great plague. Several worlds will be swallowed by a green Warpstorm and suffer a great rot, as a viral parade of daemons full of the Grandfather's gift and overwhelming joy ravish these worlds. With this tragedy marks the second war between the Chaos Gods." this was good news for Laharl.

Unlike Khorne birth, who was born suddenly, at least Nurgle's will have an actual warning.

Next, Laharl asked Ba'al if there is any shift with Tzeentch's birth Ba'al mentioned that wasn't a large divergence from the timeline for now.

But the elder daemon went on further to explain that with his changes and the creation of more sorcery and psyker spells, the Changer of Ways and his legions of change shall be stronger than before even despite their age of creation.

While that did posed a challenge for all of them Khorne, Nurgle, and himself when they finally meet and fight against the Weaver of Destiny and his daemon, but luckily just like Khorne his daemons will be at their rawest state without their usual [Magic Resistance] trait.

That trait was born from wars against Tzeentch, which in turn created the tzeentchian trait of [Barrier] this was the advantage that all his daemons have against Tzeentch's daemons despite them having a litteral psychic/magic boost from the Dark One himself.

So, in reality, Laharl wasn't worried about what Ba'al said to him about his future brother the truth is it actually excited him, and made him eager to face Tzeentch in the future while the Change God will prove quite a challenge in battle same as Nurgle when he is born, what is going to be annoying in the mind of the Dark One is that Tzeentch will probably be the hardest to submit of all his siblings, Khorne was honorable and a warrior so through strength and overcoming all his challenges he'll raise his progress bar easily.

Next is Nurgle, who is considered a jovious and caring God, certainly the most caring of the original four Chaos Gods, those personality traits plus a few gifts originating from the Old World as not only will Nurgle listen to him but become a caring brother...Laharl suddenly had a thought a place his right index claw under his chin as he thought something random, and that was what would Nurgle be his elder brother because he always manifests and acts as a caring grandfather, or his younger brother because the Dark One he was born first in this reality.

Shaking his head, he returned to his original line of thoughts, which involves Tzeentch, with Tzeentch being conniving, scheming, and being able to perceive the future he'll prove the hardest to handle and submit, he'll have to use one of Free Absolute Creations to make something to block Tzeentch from seeing anything that involves him and majority of what is his...

Laharl sighed despite things going smoothly now he knows upon the Changer of Ways cometh thing will get very annoying not just for him but Chaos as a whole.

Then the Dark One had a thought that actually made him laugh out loud, this got the attention of all the daemons within the Chamber of Prophecies what the Dark One was thinking was the reaction that Tzeentch would possibly have when he meets Absolute Chaos.

He kept laughing for a few moments until Ba'al started talking again, this time, it involved the greatest enemy of Chaos, the future emperor of the impirium of mankind, the Anathema.

Ba'al Allseer began explaining to his dark master that the Anathema has become more active as his psychic abilities are growing stronger and brighter, acting as a beacon of blinding, and irritating to Ba'al even seeing the Earth through the Web.

Laharl understood but still needed to know if he cause another timeline shift involving the future Emperor of Man, while he cares for shifts that benefit him and Chaos as a whole but changes that even Tzeentch would hates he has to fix before they have time set, especially dealing with one responsible for weakening Chaos in 40k but also condemning himself because he stole from my siblings...but all that was about to drastically change if Ba'al delivers good news.

Ba'al continues replaying what he is seeing in the Web to his dark master.

Ba'al said that the other lives that make up the Emperor were their starting to awaken along with the knowledge of the realm of souls, the Warp.

And there is still no divergence, no danger of the Anathema discovering Chaos early this was a relief to the Dark One, he asked if there anything further for him to know and once he finished asking Ba'al exit his trance closing his eyes he shuke his body to signal that there isn't anything else to say.

Laharl wished his Great Seer well and started his way back outside of the Abyssal Library before even walking out the chamber, he used his [Physical Shift] skill to sprout his four feathered wings.

After waking outside the chamber/personal library of Ba'al stepping on the mural floor exactly resembling a shadowed image of himself surrounded by the shadowed silhouettes of all the his daemon queens, and below them all were his legions of daemons he stood there to admire the newest addition of the Chamber of Prophecies, when he contacted Aillia to bring up his stats and pantheon screens.

With a cheery and both floating blue transparent screens appear before Laharl, and he started inspecting them.

Laharl finished inspecting both the screens while this time there wasn't a mayor upgrade as other times both at least they did progressed some.

Slipping them away, Laharl spread out his four wings wide, flapping them slightly before in one powerful flap he took flight going upward to leave the Abyssal Library...

Location the Abyssal Library Basement Level/Forbidden Sections

Flying at top speed, the Dark One ascended to the upper levels of the basement, bursting through the mist and landing on one of the black chained bridges across the area.

Once again, he retracted his wings into his body and cracked his neck Laharl was glad he decided to come visit Ba'al now Nurgle won't be such a surprise as Khorne was he'll assign some Void Wraiths to keep watch on Realspace for the warpstorm that sparks the birth of Nurgle, now he can relax and let things go its course for he is more than confident in the upcoming battle, even Khorne's challenge wasn't a worry for him.

Laharl then, though of sending a secret message to L'litha and her Ambrossian Shroud to attack some random planet to cause as much carnage and havoc to see if he can break the last hurdle to ascend in God Rank, plus it's been a while since he has watched my little Brew Mistress causing a bit of Chaos and one of the gifts he'll present Nurgle in the future was summoning and presenting Festus the Leech Lord to him...but that for another day as Laharl left.
