Chapter 17 - Vengeance

Cautiously, Thomas takes steps towards Hate. The warrior hasn't noticed him yet. Silently he rubs the long blond wavy hair from his rectangle shaped face and holds his sword ready for a mercy blow. His green-brown protuding eyes are filled with Vengeance. Blood and sweat stream over his tanned young face. However, Hate notices the boy faster than he hoped and turns around. Thomas throws his sword at the muscular knight, but he taps it away effortlessly. Relaxed, Hate raises his weapon. Thomas steps back and growls unintelligibly. He makes a hasty dive and picks up Margo's weapon. Hate chuckles "What's the matter with you people? You can never walk away?!" Thomas angrily roars and attacks Hate. "I will take revenge for Lady Margo" he roars and attacks Hate again with a middle blow. Hate blocks bored. He grabs the boy's wrist and lets him fall to the ground spinning. "You're one of those huh" mocks Hate. Thomas growls angrily and kicks Hate away. Hissing Hate rolls away from the youngster, who hastily jumps to his feet. He runs to his fallen weapon and picks it up in haste. Hate laughs and waits patiently for the boy to attack him again. Six high attacks are handed out in a hurry. Tired, the boy lowers his weapon over Hate. The loud noise of metal on metal reverberates in the chilly streets. Icy rain falls on the fighting warriors. Thomas punches Hate hard in the midriff, after which he steps away from Hate again.

Ten uppercuts are dealt again, after which Hate takes a step back blowing. The boy before him was trained. So far is clear. Thomas lets out an angry cry and makes another top attack. The knights circle angrily. Thomas falls to the ground. Hate wants to kill him, but Thomas lifts his left leg, causing Hate to roll over him. Thomas turns and punches Hate twice on his face with his fist. Hate blocks his fist and pushes Thomas back as hard as a rock. He falls on the wet stones with a thud. Hate takes advantage of its clumsiness and scribbles straight. Angrily, Thomas throws his sword at him, but Hate can dodge simply by ducking back.

The men take some distance from each other, but this is short-lived. They immediately attack each other again with a series of six uppercuts. Thomas' rage grows as he slaps a high uppercut that Hate blocks again. Hate blocks Thomas heaviest thrust and spins around his weapon. He steps forward and in an instant, he pushes Thomas to the ground. Growling, Thomas falls forward to the ground. Thomas wants to crawl up but Hate pushes him down again with his fist. Thomas straightens his chest just to look into Hate's eyes. His dangerous weapon rests on Thomas's chest. But Thomas doesn't want to give up just yet. He knocks Hate away from his weapon and pushes it aside with his strong shoulder. Hate crawls on hands and knees, coughing. Thomas stomps Hate repeatedly and slaps him on the back. When Hate remains on his hands and knees, coughing, Thomas walks on triumphantly. He turns around and does another blow, but to his surprise, Hate stands up abruptly. He blocks the blow by pushing his body against Thomas's. His hard blow lets them both fall on the ground. Coughing, both men scribble straight. Thomas turns again and attacks Hate. Four uppercuts are dealt, after which Hate takes again Thomas his weapon and pushes the young lad to the ground. Thomas stomps on Hate his chin, causing him to drop to one knee. He punches him in the nose. Hate blocks his fist when he tries to repeat this action. Hate knocks him down. Thomas slowly loses consciousness. Hate chuckles and bends over the lad. "Well fought... Vengeance" he whispers and also transforms this boy into one of his slaves.
