Taking a sluggish note of his surroundings, Roman couldn't remember how he got there. And he wasn't dreaming, he'd pinched himself the minute he woke. It must've been four in the morning.
"Get him some water or something," Another person said walking past him with a shrug. A female.
"Ugh- why me?" A voice grumbled, pushing his feet on the ground as he walked away.
Roman hadn't adjusted to his surroundings yet as he stared at each face with confusion. They were people, people almost his age and many were older than him. And females too.
"Here," A cup was pushed into his face, and thankfully he held it fast before the giver could let go of it, which the helper had done without wasting time. Peeking warily at the cup of water, Roman didn't know whether to drink the water or wait to later drink it. He's tasty, and he knew they wouldn't hurt him. If they wanted him gone, he'd be gone by now. He's defenseless.
