The honking of his car made me jerk back to reality.
I have been waiting for him for the past 3 hours, when I awaited him for the first one hour then I decided to go upstairs.
I meant to take a nap, perhaps that would help me get my mind off the whole issue but 2 hours into my attempt to sleep, I was still very much awake, all efforts I made proved abortive; Mr sleep seemed to have deserted me.
I sat up on my bed, as I got myself engrossed in deep thoughts again, that was when I heard the sound of King's car.
I quickly dashed out of my room and headed downstairs to meet him. I was in so much rusg that I skip about 2-3 stairs as I descended them, I wasn't even looking.
Before I could get to the bottom stairs, I saw him, just as I laid my eyes on him, I missed my steps and was about falling.
"King!!" I shrieked as I was almost reaching the floor, but then I didn't. I was caught halfway in the air, by now my heart was going thump-thump, I was yet to get over the fall.
