Chapter 2 - Events on Full Moon Night II

"No matter what happens, I still won't hand this brat over to you," Grandpa Li Beng said firmly.

Even though he was actually very scared himself, in fact the old man was trying to be brave. He seemed not to care about the five evil people. Li Beng's grandfather didn't seem afraid of their sharp blades.

In fact, at any time the weapon could have slashed his head until he was killed.

But in fact Grandpa Li Beng did not change his mind. He remained firm in his stance. The old geezer wanted to protect Li Yong. Whatever happens!

Sometimes there are some people who are willing to do anything for the people who matter in their lives. They are ready to sacrifice anything. Not even with the exception of his own life sheet.

And Grandpa Li Beng belongs to such a human lineup.

He would protect his 'grandson' even if it cost him his life. To him, Li Yong was everything. He was willing to lose his old hut, he was willing to lose his fields. But he really didn't want to lose the Li Yong he loved so much.

"Old bastard! .apparently you want to die!" shouted the black veiled person.

All this time, he had tried to be patient. He hasn't acted because he doesn't want to get his hands or his machete dirty.

Who would have thought, it turned out that his efforts were in vain.

Therefore, after knowing that his efforts with subtle means would not work, he was forced to resort to harsh methods.

While saying that, his hands immediately moved. He slammed Grandpa Li Beng's body with just one very hard right hand.

A deep voice was heard. The aged body slammed down, even being thrown two spears away.

Grandpa Li Beng immediately got up. Even though he felt a lot of pain, but again for Li Yong's sake, then the whole pain was as if he had never felt before.

The old geezer tried to fight with all the strength he had. Unfortunately, instead of getting Li Yong, he got several hits that were even harder than before.

He is old. His condition was already weak. So it was only natural that after only a few strokes, Grandpa Li Beng was already unable to do anything else. Fresh blood had seeped out of his nostrils. Even the mouth is the same.

His whole body ached more and more.

But the pain was nothing compared to the pain in his heart when he saw Li Yong who was already in the hands of these cruel people. The boy even cried hysterically.

He kept calling her name. Ask him to help.

"Grandpa, help me, Grandpa. I don't want to go with them. Help me, Grandpa!"

Li Yong's voice started to get hoarse. Fear began to run through his entire body.

Even though he was still small, he himself already knew that the five veiled people were not good people.

Grandpa Li Beng gritted his teeth. He tried to crawl, trying to get close to Li Yong with the last of his strength.

Who would have thought, when the distance was only two steps left, suddenly a hard kick was sent by one of them.

Blarr!!!

Grandpa Li Beng's body was thrown upwards. Once his body was down, a machete was waiting for him.

Crash!!!

Li Beng's grandfather widened his eyes as a machete tore through the skin on his chest. Fresh blood immediately gushed from the mouth of the wound.

Brugg!!!

His body fell back to the ground. Now the entire body that had been weakened was covered in blood.

In the last remnants of his life, Grandpa Li Beng had stretched out his hand. It was as if he still wanted to try to save Li Yong. Tears were streaming down his wrinkled cheeks.

His heart really ached. Even more painful than the wound in his chest he was feeling right now.

A moment later, the already weak body didn't move anymore. Li Beng's grandfather had died. Died trying to save Li Yong, the only person he considered the most in his entire life, even to the end of his life.

Li Yong screamed very loudly. In his unconsciousness, the boy bit the hand of the person carrying him with all his might.

Cash the person exclaimed in surprise. Spontaneously he let go of her hand.

The opportunity was not wasted by Li Yong, the boy immediately struggled and fled behind the bushes that were there.

The five people were furious. Each of them looked at each other for a moment. In the next second, without anyone speaking, they immediately moved to look for Li Yong.

The five veiled people immediately dispersed. They explored the bushes around them. But unfortunately, their efforts failed miserably.

Li Yong was nowhere to be found.

Feeling that their search was in vain, they finally decided to leave with a feeling of resentment.

Meanwhile, when he felt the situation was safe, Li Yong suddenly came out from behind the bushes. Somehow so that he could not be found by the five veiled people earlier. In fact, the location where he was hiding was not far from them.

Is this a coincidence? Or a miracle?

No one knows for sure the answer.

It's just that, in every event, miracles do happen often. Believe it or not, but such facts are very often proven.

Li Yong immediately walked out, he returned to confirm the situation. After making sure that there was no one else there but himself, the boy immediately ran over to Grandpa Li Beng who had already collapsed into a corpse.

Li Yong continued to cry non-stop. The boy's cry was long enough. About a cup of tea later, the crying finally stopped.

I don't know, is it because all his sadness has been poured out? Or because, her tears have been spent?

"Sorry, Grandpa. I have to drag you, only this way so I can take you and bury you properly," he said affectionately.

Li Yong then dragged Grandpa Li Beng's body into the forest. After finding a suitable place, he then looked for wood that could be used to dig a hole.

Not long after, wood was found. Li Yong began to dig a grave for his adoptive grandfather. As soon as the hole was created, he immediately put in the old geezer's body.

After the time-consuming process was completed, Li Yong had time to prostrate three times in front of Grandpa Li Beng's grave. This he did as a service and a form of final respect to him.

"Rest in peace, Grandpa. I promise, someday, I'll avenge all of this," he said, gritting his teeth.

Li Yong rose to his feet. He turned around and quickly left from there.

Night's getting late. The air is getting colder. A ten year old boy was walking alone in the silence of the night.

Apart from the sight of a little boy walking aimlessly aimlessly, in this world, is there anything more pathetic?
