Once Dracula powered up his sword attacks to 100%, even Max had to break a sweat.
At the level that they were at, both of them could land close to 100-120 sword strikes within a second meaning that the margin of error was close to non-existent.
Naturally, this speed was only possible if a single side was dominating and in a more balanced and realistic scenario both could only throw about 40 blows per second since the recoil of their attacks as well as gauging the body movement of the other needed to be simultaneously processed alongside the sword work.
Even then, the speed of their fight was not something an average god could even witness as to him it would only appear as hazy shadows and sparks.
Max was constantly searching for openings in Dracula's stance, he wanted to take advantage of even the most microscopic mistake and Dracula was doing the same, however, his endgame was not to stab Max but to drag him to a different dimension.
