Morpheus stood from his seat and promptly exited the room as he walked toward the entrance to the castle. It was inconvenient for the Aurors to enter this way but without Albus in his office, they couldn't floo inside.
Of course, Albus set it up like this as he originally wasn't going to have the Aurors present for the interrogation at all. By having them go to the gates he was stalling for time to ask questions. Of course, Morpheus now wanting to invite them in to witness the interrogation curbed all purpose of the stall tactic.
Though, credit must be given were credit is due Albus was quick on the uptake and understood immediately where Morpheus was going with his idea.
Morpheus practically skipped through the halls unbothered by anything around him he very quickly reached the gates of the school, the castle itself helping him reach the exit as fast as possible.
"Aurors!" he exclaimed with a wide grin, "What took you so long we have been waiting?!" he quickly opened the gates looking over to the confused hagrid who swore he was told to keep them there as long as possible
One of the Aurors was visibly irate, "Bring us to the attackers! I'm sick of your games where is the old man!"
Morpheus chuckled which in turn grew the man's anger, "Please follow me I'll lead you right to them!" the professor declared righteously
Morpheus and the team of three Aurors entered the castle, the two silent Aurors seemed content letting the irate one lead the charge. Most likely figuring with him being so angry they will reach their destination quicklyr.
Of course, it didn't truly matter as the castle moved to give them the fastest path up the stairs.
Morpheus smiled as he approached the door swinging it open, "Oh good you waited!" he exclaimed with a small grin
The Aurors wasted no time rushing inside the sight that greeted them would normally paint an extremely unfavorable picture. The staff of Hogwarts was surrounding the prisoners and a bottle of soluta lingua handy on the table.
"What is the meaning of this?!" the loud Auror huffed but didn't raise his wand, "This is a clear infraction of the law Headmaster! I suggest you stop what you intend to before you get arrested along with these men,"
Albus smiled, "We are not breaking the law but, please do stand and watch I will hand them over to your care shortly,"
One of the quiet Aurors stepped forward, "Headmaster," he nodded speaking calmly
Albus smiled, "Auror Jones, I'm glad to see you are still in service,"
Auror Jones smiled lightly, "Thank you, I have to agree with my partner though Headmaster interrogation is not in your jurisdiction please leave that to us,"
Albus shook his head, "Hogwarts although affiliated with Britain is considered a separate entity, especially during attacks Hogwarts can function as a fortress as such we are allowed to interrogate prisoners before handing them off to the ministry. I've allowed you and your team here today to watch the proceedings and verify no torture or illegal means are used."
Auror Jones frowned deeply before looking at his colleagues, "This is nonsense!" the hot-headed one bellowed
"No, he is right," the last auror said through gritted teeth, "Though I doubt the minister will like hearing about this,"
Albus shrugged, "Perhaps he will be thankful," he then motioned Horace to start
Horace grimaced before taking off one of the prisoners masks. Several things happened at once, everyone but Albus and Morpheus gasped and one of the Aurors whipped out his wand.
"You are not allowed to independently question a member of a noble house cease this immediately!"
The situation became odd, technically Hogwarts was allowed to question anyone that has harmed or attempted to harm the school through breaching the grounds and other means. But, with the way things are right now politically interrogating a member of a Nobel house would be counterproductive in all counts.
Already with questions an attacker Albus was going to get some pushback from the minister and head auror. But if he interrogated a member of a Nobel house? He would get pushback from not only the minister and head auror he would also receive the anger of the house and all of its allies.
"Indeed, we will leave this one with you all," Albus said with an eye smile
The Auror seemed to gain a smug air as he pulled the prisoner closer to his group.
"Ah!" Morpheus exclaimed in an exaggerated motion drawing the attention of the group back to him, "It seems these prisoners were crafty and had some enchantments placed to keep the mask on," he said almost dejectedly
"No matter," Albus chimed with a grave expression on his face, "They have mouth holes we can administer the potion through them,"
"But-!" the loud Auror seemed to be fighting the urge to say something
Morpheus laughed, "Surely it was just a one-off anyway, I couldn't imagine all of the attackers are from a Nobel House that would sully their name and all,"
"Just proceed," Auror Jones sighed in defeat
As soon as the potion was administered the prisoner started talking, "You will pay for this old man! Do you know who I am?!"
Morpheus laughed before prodding him with his wand, "ARGH BLOODY HELL!" the man gasped in pain as if he was jolted with lightning
"Who told you to attack Hogwarts?" Albus asked
"Tch no one I did it on my own you old goat! That's what I would usually say but it was actually our brilliant lord! Bloody hell why am I saying that? This fucker! Merlin Balls the dark lord will not let this go!"
"Dark lord?" Albus mused, "Who is he?"
He chuckled, "Who is he? He is the greatest strongest, and smartest of us! From the noblest house! He will get rid of all of these mudbloods! Bloody hell stop!" he screamed at himself
*Morpheus pov*
The idiot was smarter than I have him credit for, the way he is answering these questions is almost deliberate well as deliberate as one can be under the effect of word vomit.
He tiptoed around saying house Slytherin when asked about Tom and he keeps talking about their wider goals, not immediate ones.
It didn't matter anyway, what Albus and I wanted out of this we already got. The professors now know danger is coming faster than they think and the purebloods are spearheading it while at the same time, the Aurors are hear hearing this information right in front of us.
If they try to delay action out of 'ignorance' we can be right there to stop them and lower their influence.
Looking back over to the questions I had to contain my laughter each time they ended up spilling what their name was and each time the Auror threw a fit.
Can he possibly be more obvious?

Btw for anyone wondering chapters are being released later for multiple real-life reasons. Not as free as I used to be. But I will finish this story if its the last thing I do. To make up for that fact the newer chapters have a larger word count.
