*Narrator pov*
The sun began to lower ushering in the blanketed night, wizards and witches prepared for bed but, during the dark others began to act out their plans.
Two lords strode nervously through a manor their hearts slowly thumping faster from their nerves. Lord Wilkes and Lord Mulciber were not excited about what was about to happen.
Their Lord gave them orders of which they did not fulfill. Their lord gave their sons orders of which they did not fulfill.
Their Lord hates when his orders are not carried out to perfection.
Opening the door to Lord Voldemort's office a hiss was immediately heard, "Crucio!" Lord Mulciber fell first screaming in agony
"AHHHHHHHH!"
His wails only made Lord Wilkes more and more nervous he felt as if his heart was going to rip from his chest.
"Please my lord," Lord Mulciber grunted out in agony begging for the pain to stop
"Of course," Lord Voldemort said stopping the unforgivable curse before flicking his wand at Lord Wilkes, "Crucio!"
"AHHHHHHH!"
The panting disheveled form of Lord Mulciber could only close his eyes as his friend was tormented.
Soon Voldemort stopped his torture, "What went wrong?" he hissed in rage
"The divination professor he knew things about our families!" Lord Wilkes cried out, "He would have ruined us,"
Voldemort furrowed his brows in thought thinking about this divination professor he had heard so much about, "What did he know?" Voldemort asked
"Family secrets," Lord Mulciber snarled in rage, "I don't know how but he knew things he shouldn't,"
Voldemort shook his head, "That's his job no?" he asked
"Things no divination master could possibly know! Things from hundreds of years ago," Mulciber clarified
Voldemort's eyes narrowed dangerously, "I won't ask you to divulge family secrets," he said almost kindly, "But, I think this professor is a bigger problem than we first realized,"
*Morpheus pov*
"We briefly touched upon the subject of Scrying last semester, this class I want to show you how you can incorporate herbal smoke techniques in your scrying," I spoke clearly while taking out some herbs and a small circular bowl
"Yes, Ms. Helshire?" I asked seeing her hand was raised
"Professor, I thought divination was seeing into the future isn't Scrying seeing the present from afar?" she asked confused
I looked around and saw many confused faces nodding I clarified, "Of course, scrying is just a branch, and when proficient enough one can scry into the past and future. Seeing the present is the most you will probably be able to achieve during your years at Hogwarts but the foundation you are building now in this class will help in the long run if you decide to continue to dig deeper into divination,"
"Does that answer your question?" I added making sure I didn't confuse anyone even though the explanation was simple
"Yes professor," she replied while taking some notes
Picking up a bundle of sage I conjured a platform and set the bowl on top, "Observe carefully," I instructed while lighting the sage causing smoke to waft in the air
"Sage promoted wisdom and insight, remember to envision where you want to Scry, your imagination is the key to Scrying like most other divination spells," I explained while placing the sage into the bowl
Taking a wooden lid I put it on top of the bowl and began to murmur loud enough for the students to hear, "Ostende mihi quid cupio," (show me what i desire)
"inspicere mentibus oculis," look into my mind's eye
Slowly I began to lift the lid and close it again letting small bits of smoke out that seemed to attract each other in the air congealing into one whole that showed a blurry scene.
"honora oculos meos" (honor my sight)
The new bits of smoke made the scene more clear.
"Ostende mihi quid cupio" show me what I desire
I could hear the whispers of awe from my students as a clear scene of Diagon Alley formed showing wizards and witches alike walking around shopping to their heart's content.
I smiled at the scene of my student's amazement, "By the end of this semester I hope to have each and every one of you able to show me something similar to this. No, yours will not be as clear or precise but, it will be a good start. Now, let's talk about the incantation,"
"Each section of the incantation I used promotes the idea of displaying the vision I have in my head in real time. Thinking of Diagon Alley the spell will begin to form an image of what's currently happening at Diagon Alley. The whole purpose of the incantation is to draw out the exact location of where the spell needs to take place," I instructed
"Now, the harder part is actually the smoke. Letting out small streams of smoke helps create a clearer view. If I let all of the smoke out at once the image would have been blurry and hard to understand. You need to let out a fraction of smoke after every line of the incantation to draw out a clear image. The timing will be hard at first as your brain isn't used to picturing something clearly while saying an incantation and timing a release of smoke at the same time. But, after some practice, I'm confident you will begin to pick up the timing," I explained while passing out sheets of the incantation
"Now let's begin practice who wants to go first i will be here to help every step of the way"

After the students filed out I leaned back into my chair. I managed to have five students practice before class ended, hopefully, they begin to pick up the spell in time.
It is useful in all situations especially war if your enemy is unfamiliar with such methods of information gathering.
Standing from my chair I left to join Albus in his office I could tell something was worrying him.
Entering his office I saw he was eating some muggle candy, what a strange addiction to have.
"Morpheus come in," he said with a small smile
"Albus," I greeted in kind while taking a seat
"What is troubling you?" I asked straightforwardly
He shook his head ruefully, "there is no hiding from you," he said chuckling
Before I could reply he proceeded, "Some families I have convinced to join our fight against Tom have expressed their worry since the Rosier raid. I don't know how to reassure them," he spoke honestly
I nodded in understanding it would be bad for them to cower out now, "Tell them to speak to Gringotts about wards. The goblins are feisty with money but I assure you their wards are second to none,"
