The sun was shining on the old grounds of Hogwarts, students enjoyed their time in the evening as they didn't have any classes. A quidditch game was starting soon causing trouble for the less interested professors' mental health. Quidditch was not something the residents of Hogwarts take lightly.
Luckily for the Quidditch and dueling club members, the duel dates and Quidditch games didn't happen on the same day. It took some time for Albus to figure out the schedule but he made it work.
As the students prepared to watch some wizarding sports some of the professors decided to head to Dagon Alley or Hogsmeade. After all, it wasn't like Morpheus was the only professor allowed to leave it was an option for all of them, and Quidditch game days were the perfect time to slink away for a nice day out.
Across the seas, an event was happening only known to the elite of the wizarding world, or the scummiest it's all about perspective.
The traveling market was about to take place once more and Morpheus was excited to hopefully find the ingredients he needed. Before he headed to the market Morpheus walked through the Tokyo wizarding market.
In the heart of Tokyo, hidden from Muggle eyes, lies a magical market known as "Tsuki no Ichiba," which translates to "Moon Market." This enchanted marketplace is a vibrant fusion of traditional Japanese aesthetics and magical wonders.
Stalls adorned with colorful paper lanterns and magical cherry blossoms line the cobblestone pathways. Mages and witches peruse the stalls, their robes shimmering with intricate patterns reminiscent of ancient Japanese art. The air is filled with the soothing melody of wind chimes, each producing harmonious notes when touched by the gentle breeze. Their melody seemed to calm the mind of whoever listened.
Wares of enchanted origami creatures flutter in the air, attracting the attention of children and adults alike. Mysterious potions, inspired by ancient Eastern alchemy, emit delicate fragrances that weave through the market, offering remedies and charms specific to the needs of wizards in this part of the world. Small pills lined the stalls showcasing the wonders of the region's alchemy.
The Tsuki no Ichiba specializes in magical artifacts inspired by Shinto and Buddhist traditions. Robes woven with protective spells, enchanted samurai swords that can cut through magical barriers, and lanterns that reveal hidden messages in the glow of the moon are among the coveted items.
Tea ceremonies, enhanced with magical herbs and brewed by skilled wizards, draw crowds seeking not only the perfect blend but also the wisdom whispered in each cup by the spirits of the leaves. Stalls offer enchanted kimonos that change color with the wizard's mood and ornate magical fans that create illusions with the flick of a wrist or winds with just a flap.
The market culminates in a central plaza where performers showcase magical Noh plays and traditional dances, incorporating spells into their routines. Yet these were not the most unique things about the market, yes what would truly make a wizard from Britain's eyes widen was the lack of wand usage.
Instead, you could see a ring adoring every witch and wizard around, they seemed to glow every time a spell was cast.
'I should have Abara and Yowie bring this up to the students, they will need to know how to fight someone using a different focus than normal' Morpheus thought as he walked down the streets of the market
"Hmm didn't expect to find Da Hong Pao outside of China, can I have a batch?" Morpheus said with a smile seeing the rare tea leaves
"A foreign sorcerer like you knows Da Hong Pao?" the lady running the stand sounded impressed, "It will be pricey," she said with a fox-like grin
Sorcerer, they don't use the words wizard and witch around this region it's either Sorcerer or Sorceress.
"I do not mind," Morpheus replied
After buying his tea he decided to head over to the market wanting to get there on time before the materials he needed were all bought.
Walking into the market he wore a similar outfit as the last time except this time he wore a black kimono and a red Onii mask. The market was hidden in a Japanese forest this time, as he passed the threshold a wide expanse of mystical tents laid before him.
Walking down the street after exchanging some money Morpheus kept an eye out for any ingredients he needed.
As if sensing a great treasure Morpheus walked over to a tent and immediately saw a still-beating heart, "How much for the Wendigo heart," he asked almost blandly
"Ten," the tent owner replied
Morpheus nodded, "Ten is fair," the exchange was quick soon Morpheus walked away with a wendigo heart beating inside of a small wooden box
Soon he stopped at another tent, "How much for the Rakshasa's tongue and teeth," he asked while inspecting the items
"Twenty," the shopkeep said her voice sounded like a chime in the wind
Morpheus chuckled, "Twenty thousand for something of this quality? Throw in the Naga scales and you have a deal," he leaned forward
The shopkeep was silent before a loud sigh escaped her lips, "Fine but only five scales," she countered
"Six"
"Deal," the payment was supplied and Morpheus walked off happy
'Only one ingredient left, the scales were a nice bonus' he thought with a wide smile
Today was really paying off.
Soon he stopped once more and walked over to the table, "How much for the shade flower," he asked pointing to a beautiful flower that resembled a rose except the petals were black as night and the stem blue as the ocean
"Only five," the shopkeep grunted
Morpheus put five hundred on the table knowing the man couldn't be asking for five thousand.
The shopkeeper handed over the flower and then started helping another customer. Morpheus looked around for a while and then decided to head back and start creating the tool for the annihilation of the vampires.
*Morpheus pov*
I was lucky to find everything I needed so easily I expected to have to make several trips to different markets. Heading back home I immediately stored the shade flower in a dark area of my house, it needed to be kept fresh.
Then I quickly stored the windigo heart the last thing I wanted was it to flat line on me. Placing it in a cool area I began to prepare my table.
I really only have enough ingredients to perform this task once so I cannot afford to fail. Marking out the exact steps I needed to take I made another list, everything was to be exact.
Finally, I sat my wand to the side and began to cleanse my hands. It wouldn't be wise for my magic to seep into this I don't know what affect it could have.
After a short cleanse I adorned a pair of gloves and began my work.
