*Morpheus pov *
I've noticed a strange theme happening around the castle, Slytherins were getting relentlessly pranked. At first, I paid it no mind but the more I saw the more I couldn't help but hold in my laughter.
Whoever was doing these pranks and I think I have a very reasonable guess chose the perfect time to start this little battle.
Well perfect for my enjoyment.
The dueling club is set to be announced tomorrow morning during breakfast. With this announcement, I'm positive many of the Slytherins being made fools of will sign up in hopes of embarrassing their attackers in front of a live audience.
It's funny how fate works, Gryffindors and Slytherins having a rivalry just as their founders did.
Salazar and Godric would fight with each other over the simplest things, so much so even that Helga had to be the designated mediator between the two.
Rowena couldn't care less and I would 'incite their violence' according to Helga.
Their friendship made me almost wish I had a friend like that, "Haa" I sighed, never mind that would be too troublesome.
Waking up I headed to the great hall, breakfast was waiting, and the introduction to the dueling club was today.
I was interested in seeing the children's reaction to the new club. People their age should be ecstatic hearing the news.
Sitting next to Abara I got my plate and said, "Today's the day, are you excited my friend?"
He bit into his toast and replied, "I'm more than excited, finally I have an opportunity to show the students the true might of astrology,"
I laughed lightly, "It's a shame they don't already know, where I went to school Astrology was a well-sought-after subject,"
"Yes, I heard you attended Evernight, that school is famous what was it like?" He asked I could tell he was trying to sound nonchalant
The truth is the school the Evernight School of Mystic Arts is a big deal, I wouldn't say it's the best school in the world.
Considering someone from my family made the school I would be biased.
No, what makes the school special is the class options and secretiveness. The family member who made the school seemed to have inherited my secretiveness.
Almost nothing is known about the school to the general public except for the fact you can learn anything you want and classes are on an optional basis.
If I can remember correctly the idea for the school was to make an institution that facilitated the inherent free-spirited nature of adolescence.
The children can learn at their own pace with a large faculty there to assist them.
The only requirement the students have is to be able to pass the midterms and finals.
Fail one of them and the consequences were dire. Also, instances of bullying like I said to Albus are non-existent. The school might seem lawless but truthfully it's very strict in certain areas.
"Ah sorry Abara it seems I was caught up in my memories, Evernight is a truly unique school. I wouldn't say it's the best school in the world like some people but the unique methods the headmaster uses to teach create an environment of innovation, hard work, and freedom," I replied with a small smile
He laughed, "It's perfectly fine, I reminisce sometimes myself. Evernight seems interesting I would love to see the grounds someday,"
I smirked, "The chances of that are slim, but the future is never certain,"
We ate and talked some more while more and more students arrived. Finally, the great hall seemed to have a good enough number of students for Albus to begin his speech.
Albus stood from his seat with a grandfatherly smile, clapping his hands while using a simple amplifier spell *CLAP!* The hall became silent.
"Attention all students, I have an announcement to make! Several of your professors proposed an idea to me not long ago. After reviewing the idea I decided to approve of the new club. I would like to introduce you to the new dueling club, the professor teaching it will be Professor Abara and Professor Yowie, and as a guest Professor Filius will attend periodically. This club will have flexible hours. Once you sign up you will receive the date and time of the club meeting for that week, I hope you all think seriously about attending," as Albus finished the hall immediately erupted in loud discussions
"Brilliant speech Headmaster," Yowie said with a bright smile
"Thank you, Professor," Albus replied while sipping his tea

"No, you have to dim your power not amplify it!" I said my voice was exhausted at this point
The student I was trying to instruct busted out in loud obnoxious laughter, "Professor my power is too strong to dim!"
"Lockhart, if you refuse to take this seriously I will kick you out from this class until we are done practicing," I snapped this child had the unusual talent of being the most annoying person I've met inside this castle
"Professor I am trying! My power is truly too strong," He spoke pitifully as if he couldn't help his own strength
"Really? Then it really can't be helped," I shrugged and walked away ignoring him a small smile plastered on my face
Being ignored seemed to annoy the child more than anything.
I carried on my duties as a professor and pointed out any glaring issues with my student's practice.
Seeing my class was halfway done already I announced, "We are done with practicing for today, now we will move on to a different activity. I believe the previous divination professors at this school would mainly teach this because it is simple enough for anyone without the sight to be able to pick up the skill. What you will be learning is how to read tea leaves,"
"The first thing you must learn is how to perform a proper tea ceremony, I will demonstrate that now," I said while talking out a tea set
"First choose a quite serene location, this classroom will have to do for now, then set out the necessary utensils leaves, a teapot, teacups, a tea strainer, a kettle, a tea scoop, and a tea tray. After that boil the water," I instructed as I tapped my wand on the kettle
"The kettles I will be providing have a charm that allows for instant heating, while the water begins to boil measure out the proper amount of leaves for your teapot. Then pour a small amount of hot water into the teacups warming them and helping to maintain the tea's temperature. After that pour some hot water over the leaves and then dump the water out, this is called rinsing it's a practice that removes the impurities. Then you can finally brew the tea," I showed the steps carefully
"Once you pour the tea into your teacup, place one leaf in the middle and begin to focus your attention on the leaf while holding the teacup with both hands. Focus on the leaf like it's the only thing in the world, focus on it like you focus your attention while lowering your power with the training wands. Finally depending on what the leaf does will mean different things I have taken the liberty to make pamphlets with the most common leaf movements and their definitions," I said while passing out the tea sets I brought
"Like always please raise your hand if you need help," I added while I watched the children begin the first step
