Manu's frown deepened as he listened to the priestess's words. Silently, he retreated into his consciousness, descending into his inner realm.
In the bleak void of his mind's landscape, Chiron— tortured and bound by writhing, serpent-like chains, his left leg already lost to nothingness. Chiron raised his head slowly, his eyes ever glinting with defiance.
"What, got a problem with me… snake breath?"
The insult ignited Manu's anger, and in a flash, he was upon Chiron, his hand clenched tightly around his prisoner's neck. "Where is it… the Guardian Token?" Manu demanded as his grip tightened.
Chiron's eyes widened slightly, a faint spark of surprise in his gaze. "So, that's what it's called," he sneered. "I just called it a rainbow box… Unfortunately, I don't know where it is."
Manu's gaze drilled into Chiron, reading him deeply, though he sensed no deception.
