Chiron had been speechless, and the mixture of fear and surprise, sent his hunger packing.
But this woman in front of him, she had not been repulsed by his smell or the dirt on him. Instead, she had accepted him even without knowing him.
At the time, he did not know that she was sick with Cancer.
"You look like a man with stories to tell..." her eyes looked him up and down, "...and I am bored. So lets make a deal. I'll let you eat, as much as you want, and you me me with my boredom."
That night had been the first time he had actually slept in a bed for a years.
At first the stories was about his life, but somehow he discovered she wanted to hear more about the dreams he had of this strange world, and so he told her.
Even though after such a big meal, he needed some rest, for her sake, he continued. After all, she treasured every word that came from his mouth. The feeling was incredible.
