EVELYN'S POV
When we got inside we met our parents smiling and chatting away. I haven't seen my mum smile so brightly ever since she got sick and I was happy at that moment that she was very happy too.
"It seems you guys have really bonded well this few minutes" Mrs Taylor said while looking between me and her son.
Is this woman blind or what I thought to myself. Can't she see that there is literally no connection or attraction whatsoever between I and her son.
"Mum... Dad I have to get going an urgent call just came through so I need to go check" Eros told his parents.
"Wait son before you leave we have an announcement to make, so take a seat" his dad interrupted him.
"We have decided that you guys will be having the wedding next month". You guys can pick a date between now and in two weeks time for your engagement party while the other two weeks will be for the wedding", my mum said excitedly.
With the excitement in my mum's face and voice I couldn't find it within myself to scream out no and say I am no longer interested in the wedding. Eros on the other hand kept an expressionless face. I mean how could that guy mask his emotions and feelings perfectly after the bomb our parents threw at us.
"I don't think there will be need for an engagement party, you can go ahead and plan the wedding itself and any date is fine by me" he said to our parents while looking at me.
"What about you princess, what are your thoughts? You know this is your wedding as much as it is his" My dad asked me.
"I am okay with what he said. You know I have college, so planning both an engagement party and a wedding will really take its toil on me" I replied my dad.
"That's why you have us here darling, I and your mum will help you in planning everything all you need to do is to show your presence and tell us what you like and what you don't" Mrs Taylor told me.
"It is really fine by me ma'am I am very much okay with Eros suggestion" I told her convincingly.
"Okay then it's decided, we the ladies will meet up on Saturday for the wedding plans then" Mrs Taylor said with excitement in her voice.
"Since it has all been decided we will be on our way because it is already late" Mr Taylor said while helping his wife on her feet.
Hmm looks like my future father in-law is quite the gentleman and I hope the apple won't fall far from the tree I thought to myself while looking at Eros.
"Thanks for having us and the dinner was really fantastic" Mrs Taylor commented.
"Thank you too for coming and the dinner was courtesy of my beloved daughter" my mum replied Mrs Taylor proudly.
We all left the sitting room to go see the Taylor's off. After we returned I bid my parents goodnight and retired to my room. Today was really exhausting and nerve wrecking as hell. After few minutes I didn't know when I slept off.
It's been a week since the Taylor's visited us and I and mum are supposed to meet with Mrs Taylor today for the wedding preparations. She gave us the address for the wedding planner which is equally the location where we will be meeting her.
As at 10am I and mum were prepared and ready to leave. Dad opted to drive us to the venue but mum declined saying she wanted to spend more time with just the two of us so we ordered an Uber that took us there.
When we arrived Mrs Taylor was already there waiting for us with a wedding brochure in her hand which I guess she was probably going through while waiting for us.
We made our presence known to her and greeted her. She replied us warmly as well.
"I'm so sorry if we kept you waiting for so long", My mum apologized to Mrs Taylor.
"It hasn't been long I came here either so you don't need to feel so sorry " Mrs Taylor replied my mum.
"Hey darling you can start by going through this wedding brochures to see if there is anything you like" Mrs Taylor told me while handing the brochure to me.
I was going through the brochure untill I saw a simple wedding gown that caught my eye. It was simple yet beautiful which is totally my style. So I called their attention and showed it to them.

"Isn't it too plain and simple Mrs Taylor asked me?
"That's exactly what I want" I replied her. I didn't want anything too extravagant or heavy because honestly nobody will help me in carrying any heavy wedding gown around. As you can see I am short on female friends.
My mum then called the wedding planner and showed her my choice. The wedding planner took note of it and took us to where the wedding gown was placed and hello my people the brochure didn't do justice to what the wedding gown looked in real life.
It was very gorgeous and I couldn't wait to see myself in it. Note I am not excited about the wedding just excited about the wedding gown that's all and who wouldn't be once you set your eyes on it.
After we have placed the order on the wedding gown we went for the cake and cup cake tasting.
We looked through the brochures as well and tasted some too and after that I decided on a vanilla chocolate cake with raspberry mousse and for the cupcakes I went for vanilla, red velvet and chocolate.
As soon as we were done with these I felt a massive headache hit me. Well it was expected, I really had a tough week at school with series of presentations and projects I had to complete and then this.
After placing the order for the cake and cupcake I whispered into my mum's ears that I could not go further with the wedding adventures as I was so exhausted because we still had the shoes, make up and food tasting to check out as well so I pleaded with her to let Mrs Taylor know so that we can go some other time since we had three weeks to the wedding.
My mum took Mrs Taylor to the side and spoke with her. After a few minutes they came back and told me to get ready for lunch so we headed out.
ERO'S POV
My wedding is in a weeks time and I have not gotten my tuxedo ready. Honestly I am not excited about this wedding one bit and as the D day draws near so my hate and mood deepens.
I was still in my thoughts when Ivan came in.
"Hey man... soon to be latest husband how are ya doing " he teased me.
"So how far with the wedding preparations? Since you wouldn't want me to get involved in your wedding preparations can I atleast ask how it is going?" He asked me.
Yeah you heard him right, I didn't want my bestfriend to be involved in my wedding preparations because I myself wasn't involved in it at all. I just left everthing to my mum and soon to be wife and besides these past three weeks I have been busy with with work and equally away on a business trip.
As Ivan made the statement about helping with the wedding plans something came into my mind.
"Ivan, do you really want to help in my wedding preparations " I asked him.
"Of course dude why would you even ask that " he replied.
"I just have the perfect job for you then, can you help me pick out my wedding ring" I told him smirking.
"Dude it is your wedding ring not mine" the wedding ring should have some sentimental value and I don't think your wife will be happy if she gets to find out you didn't pick it yourself" he told me.
"First of all it is future wife and not my wife, you are making it sound as if we are married already" I corrected him.
"What difference does it make since you will still be tying the knot in a few days" he retorted back.
"Are you helping me out or not? I could just ask my secretary to do that" and I said the last part because I wanted to get a reaction out from him.
"It's not funny at all, don't worry I will do it" he said hesistantly.
