Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Delicious

A flash of light surrounded me before dissipating after I teleported out of my domain.

I looked around at my surroundings and saw the hanging moon in the night sky.

The only thing that was illuminating the room I was in was the moonlight coming from the windows.

I took a look at my wrist watch and saw it was already dawn. The time was only two and a half hours away from morning.

Although I spent a long time inside my domain, I wasn't sleepy or mentally or physically tired at all. Instead, I was full of energy.

This was all due to the domain of the gods. After all, being the god of the domain wasn't without any benefits.

Suddenly, my stomach gurgled. I decided to eat something from the fridge.

I walked towards the kitchen, then to the refrigerator. I opened it and took something to eat before closing it.

As I walked towards the dining room, a pair of hands caught me from behind, which caused me to stop in my tracks.

A familiar soft body pressed against my back, a familiar scent drifted to my nose, and a familiar warmth sheltered me from the cold.

I turned my head up and saw the familiar face. She was my mother, Audelia.

Her platinum blonde hair shone with the light of the moon that illuminated us.

Her lips blossomed into a smile like a spring. Her silver eyes were sparkling and smiling like a crescent moon in the night sky.

Both of us had the same characteristics that at one glance could indicate that both of us were related.

Of course, my platinum blonde hair and silver eyes were natural, just like my mother's hair and eyes.

This made me wonder if she was really not my biological mother.

However, since my mother said I was adopted, I chose to believe that. Besides, we did a DNA test to resolve my doubts.

...

"Are you hungry?" My mother inquired, her gaze fixed on the food in my hand. The foods I held were some junk foods and soda.

I nodded and replied, "yes."

"I see. Then let me cook something for you. Those foods wouldn't fill your stomach at all," mother said.

I smiled and said, "Thank you in advance, mother."

My mother patted my head with her other hand while hugging me, saying, "Hehe, no problem, this was a trivial task."

My mother released me from her embrace and said, "Just wait for me at the dining room."

"All right," I replied. Hearing my reply, she began walking towards the kitchen.

I also walked in the dining room and sat in a random chair as I waited for my mother to finish cooking.

...

After a while, my mother walked into the dining room with a plate and a glass of juice in hand. It contains a fork, a dining knife, a fried egg, and bacon.

"Here," my mother said before putting it down in front of me where the table was.

"Thank you, mother," I said before I started eating.

"No problem," mother said.

While I was eating, my mother sat down beside me with her hands placed on her chin. She had a smile on her face while watching me eat her cooking.

"Mom, stop staring at me." I said and continued. "I can't focus on eating."

"Hehe, I don't want to," my mother said.

"Mom!" I said.

"All right," my mother said.

"Is it delicious?" Mom suddenly asked

"Yeah, it was," I replied.

"I see. Then I shall cook more delicious foods for you in the future," mother said.

"I am looking forward to that," I said, then smiled.

...

I finished eating after a while, eating everything on my plate without leaving a single piece behind.

I touched my full stomach and smiled in satisfaction.

"Looks like you were already full; it was time to sleep, but before that, you must brush your teeth first before sleeping," my mother said.

She continued, "Don't worry about the dishes; I will wash them."

"Okay," I said before walking towards the washroom. Once I was inside, I took my toothbrush and put some toothpaste on it.

I started brushing my teeth for the entire five minutes before rinsing my mouth with water.

I also change my clothes into a pair of pajamas before walking out of the bathroom.

I took a pair of comfy slippers from the rack before walking towards my bedroom. As I walked towards it, my mother and I ran at each other.

"Good night, mother," I said.

"But it was already morning," mother replied.

"Then, have a good sleep, mother," I said as I scratched my nose.

"You as well," mother added.

After some conversation, we walked into our respective rooms. I laid my back on the bed as I stared at the ceiling above me.

I can't help but reminisce about the things that happened today. I turned 12, awakened my own domain, and conducted numerous experiments within it.

Unknowingly, my eyelids became heavy and my eyes turned hazy. I closed my eyes. After a while, I fell asleep as I dozed in my dreams.

...

It was now morning. My mother woke me up, and now I am sitting in front of the dining table with my mother, Audelia, sister, Dierdre, and big sister, Desdemona.

The dining room was illuminated by the sunlight coming from the opened windows and the cold breeze that came in through them.

The room was full of silence as we ate. The only thing that could be heard was the utensils on the table and chirping birds coming from outside.

I broke the silence by initiating a conversation.

"Mother, can you give unowned domains?" I asked.

"Sure, I will give it to you after we eat," mother replied.

"It was only a day after you awakened your domain, so what do you need the unowned domains for?" Mother asked.

"It was for the creatures of my domain to gain experience," I replied.

Mother's eyes widened a bit, and she asked, "You were going to give the creatures of your domain an experience?"

"Um... yeah," I replied.

"As expected of my son, you didn't disappoint my expectations," mother said and nodded.
