Chapter 84: Catching up 2!!!
Lamil continued to speak after he had calmed down, "We couldn't stay in the human society anymore, all elementals had gone into hiding, we, in fact, counted on your return to do something miraculous for us. I gave up hope after a while."
"We ran into a monastery as we were hiding in the jungle, we've been here ever since. Once in a while, we would set off to get food and other things and return after some days."
"The monks were our life saviors, they didn't involve themselves in the war nor did they interfere, they only stood here and practiced and trained themselves."
"Our abilities have grown since we started to train with them, they have special techniques that are extremely useful and beneficial to elementals. We'll talk about that later."
Lancelot Jr also nodded, agreeing with that as he wanted to know more about the human world. "There are 36 provinces now, and the name of the major city has been changed from Elemental city to Sun city. Sun city of the Khumalo continent."
"Under the province of Dishi, every Province has a Variant Overlord and a human Skeleton subordinate leader."
"Every month, a tribute is to be brought to the variant overlord, they are also to be worshiped. It is indeed, an obscene sight to behold."
Lamil kept quiet at that point, Zain then spoke, Lancelot Jr, you need to raise your strength, you're after all the son of the legendary Lancelot..." Lancelot Jr was shocked,
"How did you know my real name?"
"l told them" Alisha spoke, feeling guilty as she lowered her head. "l had to tell them the truth to make them believe in your return. They would have left it I didn't" Alisha interjected apologetically.
"Besides brother, I've always known that there are some things about you that were strange, and in truth, you have always defied the natural order, so when Alisha told me, it all made sense as long as you don't die, we can conquer the world together" Zain spoke with utmost belief in Lancelot Jr.
"l told you she was a loose mouth" the spirit speaker suddenly spoke.
"Mom, stop"
"What? Did it turn out any different?"
Lancelot Jr rolled his eyes and ignored the spirit speaker, as she kept speaking in his mind.
"How do we plan our revenge brother and to rescue brother Xavier and Rob," Lamil asked Lancelot Jr with eyes filled with expectancy.
"For now we are not still strong enough, both of you are at the peak of level 4 of your elements which is quite good, but you need to reach level
5 to be able to stand a chance against these variants, I need to fully learn other elements and activate my gains from my unconscious state..." Lancelot Jr told them about his encounter in his Dreamworld and the dream state.
They were all stunned, they all agreed that they need to make adequate preparation before setting out to change things for the elemental world.
They spoke and enjoyed each other's company till evening, in between the camaraderie, they had meals and occasional visits from the monks in preparation for an evening ceremony to celebrate the awakening of Lancelot Jr form his unconscious state.
Over the years the monks had tried everything to wake him up from herbs to prayers, to even essence and spirits, nothing worked. Alisha had also explained to them his importance to the elementals and feeble humans.
The monks themselves could be of immense help and effect if they were to get themselves involved in the war, but their leader said it was not their fight, so the monks stayed still and no one went to aid the elemental or feeble humans
The best they could do was help them raise their fighting power to be able to protect themselves during the war. So they trained Zain , Lamil, and Alisha over the course of the two years that they had spent in the monastery.
Now that Lancelot Jr had also woken up, they felt that the elementals and feeble humans had one more helper.
The monks were extremely delighted and decided to honor the awakening of Lancetot Jr with a ceremony.
The information had been passed around, they were to have a small evening party by the bonfire at night, and everyone would get to see Lancelot Jr.
Small transparent cauldron-like balloons which had candles inside of them were lighted up above the arena. The color of each wrap gave off the feeling of a unique color.
The sky was lined up with various colored cauldron-like balloons.
The breeze that night was thrilling, there was gossip from left, right, and center as the crowd moved into the area.
A group of people who weren't monks also came in. One had an indifferent look as he sat down on the prepared wood log.
A while Later Lancelot Jr and the other three arrived.
They sat together on a log around a prepared bonfire, the flames were high up and the light was bright from the flames.
Three elder monks arrived in their purple robes, the senior monks in their burgundy robes were in charge of arrangements.
The monks didn't eat meat or anything killed, but those invited were allowed to eat with wine and other forms of drinks.
Senior Monk Lui kickstarted the event by standing in front of the crowd and speaking.
For this event, we are celebrating the awakening of our brother who had been asleep for so long. Lancelot Jr, please stand let everybody see you"
"Hello everybody, I am Lancelot Jr Night, thank you all for taking care of me" Lancelot Jr beamed with delight as he returned to his log seat.
Suddenly an arrogant youth came towards
Lancelot Jr, and stared at him with a disgusted look before speaking, "what gives you the right to use the name Night? Who the hell do you think you are?"
There were whispers among the crowd, as they all stared at the arrogant-looking youth in a plain T-shirt and jean trousers.
It was obvious he wasn't a monk, Lancelot Jr was confused as he looked to Alisha for answers, "who is he?"
Alisha responded in a low tone, "There are some people who couldn't pass the monk's test hence they were not qualified to become a monk, they usually hang around the monastery especially if they had family relations who were monks.
"He is one of such, he is the younger brother of Senior Lui. His name is Kun" Alisha said as he looked in the arrogant youth's direction.
"Are you deaf or has your sleepy brain not woken up yet? I will ask again, what gives you the right to use the name Night?"
