Chapter 63: Letting loose!!!
The crowd watched as Xavier Xu hurried out of sight as soon as he attacked.
As soon as he ran out, his void assassin colleagues covered for him protectively, preventing anyone from making rash moves.
He was protected by his fellow void assassins so no one could touch him, also the principal had tried her best to protect Lancelot Jr as much as she could but without a doubt, all effort seemed effective at one point or the other if evaluated as a whole.
Lancelot Jr went to the principal's office as if unaffected by the earlier attack by Xavier Xu.
He knocked and waited patiently for a few seconds before he was ushered in.
"Come on in" her voice sounded from within.
He slowly entered and she pointed for him to take his seat, which he did.
She went straight to business.
"Gabriel, I need to discuss a matter with you," she said sternly.
Lancelot Jr had a look of concern as he adjusted his sitting position to a serious one.
'It's not too serious don't worry" the Principal smiled as she spoke, noticing his worried look.
"You're are our biggest star here in the school and a figure that motivates all the younger generation. So, many people are looking up to you, and they gain their confidence from watching you grow and showing to them your unrivaled progress."
"l want you to step up in this coming war, I know you're still very young but my hopes and belief in you are huge."
Lancelot Jr was still confused, "what do you want me to do ma'am?" Lancelot Jr asked respectfully.
The Principal continued, "It's likely the people from the skeleton organization attack some human homes, I want you to spearhead an attack team, go to their homes, and protect them."
"Humans are generally weak when compared to elementals, however, there are some exceptional humans with magic, some also have superhuman strength and some other unpredictable advantages, you need to be always guarded against them. So do you accept the task I have set before you?"
Lancelot Jr finally understood what the principal wanted him to do. But he had a complaint which he laid out;
"About the team that you want me to spearhead, some may not necessarily want to follow me..!"
The principal smiled, and responded, "l have thought about this possibility that is why I have formed two teams, one is made up of your
friends that you developed together from level 1 and the other team is made up of the other experts who you don't get along with or have issues with you but could be vital in this fight, so unless some unusual situation occurs, you shouldn't have issues."
Lancelot Jr nodded, affirming his stance at the Principal's words, "l will do my best when the time comes, I will not let you down" Lancelot Jr said with absolute confidence, then he nodded and stood up.
The Principal spoke again.
"In five days, you should be prepared to head to the human families, I will give you a list of these human families that have affiliation with us and their locations. It should be easy to follow the range of attacks to know how best to move.
That will be all, you may leave"
The Principal finished, and buried her head in her writing, to continue her study, while
Lancelot Jr bowed and left.
Alisha Morgan was already waiting outside the principal's office for Lancelot Jr.
When she saw his silhouette appear, she was excited to see him and rushed over,
"What did the principal want?"
Lancelot Jr smiled, he then relayed everything the principal said as they left the premises.
"Oh wow, wait, am I going to be in your super squad?" Alisha Morgan asked with a look of ecstasy,
"sure," Lancelot Jr said with absolute assurance
"Oh by the way my mom is waiting for you, she is in the common room". Alisha Morgan suddenly remembered and said.
"Oh," Lancelot Jr said as if he was contemplating something,
He then shrugged his shoulders, "Lead the way, he said with a smile, allowing Alisha to go in front while he followed from behind.
After walking a couple of steps, they finally got to the common room.
A woman sat down in a corner with a red bag on a stool by her side.
She exuded the aura of fire, just coming close to her feels like one was approaching the burning sun.
"Mom, Gabriel is here" Alisha called out to her as she hopped excitedly to her side.
"Alisha," she said with a smile, she then looked at Lancelot Jr.
Immediately Lancelot Jr saw her, the spirit speaker screamed;
"Cherry' ,
Only Lancelot Jr could hear the spirit speaker but his reaction caused both Alisha and her mother to look suspiciously.
"Good evening Mrs. Morgan, I am Gabriel Li," Lancelot Jr said with a smile while trying to hide his shock.
The spirit speaker continued, "Cherry is the name of the younger sister of your father, she is the very woman that stands before you, she is your Aunt."
Lancelot Jr couldn't control himself as he rushed forward and hugged Mrs. Morgan.
He yearned so much for family, ever since his mother disappeared he wished to find anyone who he could truly call blood.
Now, standing before him was his aunt, someone other than his mother who had a personal relationship with his father.
He was unable to put a lid on his maelstrom of emotions.
She was startled but she didn't pull away.
Alisha was also surprised at the outburst of emotions from Lancelot Jr.
"Gabriel, what is wrong?" Mrs. Morgan asked as she was shocked at his outburst.
Alisha was also surprised and instinctively moved toward Lancelot Jr, at that moment she was worried about the cause of his outburst.
To her, he was someone she wanted to protect even when she knew she was weaker than him.
The common room had some other parents who were visiting their kids.
They were equally stunned by the outburst of Lancelot Jr.
Being a world-famous star, he was well known and had been monitored ever since he stepped into the common room.
Fortunately, the common room was out of bounds for reporters and spy gadgets, if not, the news of Lancelot Jr's outburst would have been displayed on national news.
"Let's go somewhere more private," Lancelot Jr said to Mrs. Morgan.
She nodded and they went to the place where her car was packed, they entered and sat down.
All three of them. Lancelot Jr was sitting and facing mother and daughter in the exquisite limousine.
Lancelot Jr looked toward Mrs. Morgan and spoke with tears in his eyes,
"My name is not Gabriel Li, I was given that name by my adoptive mother, My name is Lancelot Jr, I know you're my great Aunt, Aunt Cherry."
"Aunt Cherry.." Alisha repeated that name as she looked at her mother for answers.
Mrs. Morgan was stunned, "I've not used that name since I escaped from the water nation 13 years ago."
This time, she was the one who went to hug Lancelot Jr as the memories of her brother flooded in,
"How did you know my name, how did you know my identity?"
She believed him, although she had more questions, he just hugged her silently and wept.
Alisha didn't know what was going on but she was also emotional.
They sat silently, letting loose the emotions that welled up inside of them.
