Chapter 2: Blood Nation!!!
The Blood nation was desolate and empty as the air swept into lots of empty homes, carrying dust and debris along with it.
Both the blood nation and the air nation share a border, making it easy for the air nation to monitor every activity of the blood nation.
A young male in his late teens could be seen inside a blood nation temple, wearing a maroon-colored robe with Golden linen extending from the neck of the robe to the base of the robe around the ankles.
The teen knelt in front of the altar where a statue could be seen of a man controlling a liquid substance in his hand.
"Dear Blood god, I pray to you, please avenge me of the death of my father, which came by the hands of these despicable Air nation pigs, please help me, rescue my people from the brink of extinction, I am weak and my powers are sealed, please save me and my people"
He continued to sob and pray quietly as he heard footsteps rushing into the temple, he could also hear the Air nation soldiers roar from afar. Two teens rushed towards him as he turned,
"Young lord of the blood nation, I apologize for barging into your temple like this, my name is Lancelot and this is my sister Cherry, we are being pursued by the Air nation soldiers, please young master can you hide us?"
Lancelot wore an orange-red robe which was significant to the fire nation. Each nation was distinguished by the robe they wore, distinct colored robes were usually worn by element weavers who had powers or held high authority in any nation.
A citizen without power would wear a common clear robe or another form of clothes.
Due to the oppression of the Air Nation, Most people from other nations have abandoned their robe outfit for any random outfit just to escape being noticed or caught.
The Blood nation teen looked at them with a slightly raised smile plastered on his face and hope rising in his heart:
"My name is Dice, the prince of the blood nation and heir to the blood nation throne, are you also blood nation members?" He said hurriedly with a hopeful glance.
He knew from sight that they were wearing fire nation 'orange-red robes', but still he had hope that they were blood nation members who disguised to survive. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
"No, young lord, we are fire nation members, due to the increasing oppression of the Air nation, our people cannot farm in peace and as such, there is famine in the land, people are starving."
" I volunteered alongside my sister to search for food anywhere in other to save our family and my other kins, but unfortunately, we ran into the hands of the approaching air nation soldiers, who labeled us savages and decided to attack us on the spot, we ran as quickly as we could to buy us some time, but they are catching up to us"
The hope in Dice's eye instantly vanished as he looked miserably at the two teens.
He had been lonely for a long time and had wished to find at least one blood nation member with whom he can at least grieve, but that temporary hope after seeing this two was battered upon hearing they weren't from blood nation.
He kept silent all through, digesting what he had just heard. He had been unable to display his power for years after it was sealed by Lord Paige Kalliester using the element sealing cuffs during the time he conquered the blood nation and kept Dice alive as a mockery to the entire blood nation, as he didn't see Dice as a threat.
While Dice pondered on his battered hope he also thought about the trouble coming from the air nation soldiers approaching.
He thought of all the pain and anger he felt towards the air nation and muttered to himself, 'Helping anyone take advantage of the air nation is enough of a win for me, till I am strong enough to fight them'.
Then he raised his head that had been lowered to Lancelot and his sister Cherry, pointing to a wall of tiles around the alter,
"Go to that tile, the third from the left, remove it and go through the underground tunnel, it would lead you out of the city, hurry up and go" Dice said as he shooed them off.
"Thank you, young lord Dice, you've saved our lives, we're indebted to you." Having said that, they hurried to the tile and entered the tunnel disappearing out of sight.
Almost immediately a fierce wind blew into the temple shaking the walls fiercely and throwing about chairs and other materials without a strong foothold on the solid concrete.
A few minutes later, the temple roof tore open like the opening of a new sardine can, the strong air current blew away the door from its hinges and exposed the temple in its entirety.
The folded roof allowed for sun rays to penetrate the entire inner part of the temple causing Dice to immediately cover his eyes instinctively as the sun rays got stronger.
An Air nation soldier followed by 5 others floated in with fierceness in his facial construct, the air rippled under the influence of his power.
"Where are the savages?" he spoke with disdain and disregard for the position that Dice held. Dice ignored him and turned his back, knelt to continue praying.
This caused the anger of the soldier to soar as his face became red from so much blood rushing to his face,
"You dare defy me?" He screamed, as a wave of strong air current, flowed forward from him, it carried Dice like floating paper and flung him against the alter tiles breaking a couple of bones in the process, also causing Dice to bleed from his eyes, nostrils, and mouth with some new scratches on his body.
Dice winced in pain as he tried to adjust his body to a comfortable position. He looked at the attacking soldier with anger rising within, and then he thought to himself, 'If only my powers were not sealed, this would be a different situation entirely.
As Dice shook his head pondering about his misfortune, a ball of crimson red flame, flew out of nowhere with a terrifying speed and collided with the soldier that attacked Dice.
It burnt him so fast, preventing any form of escape.
The flames were further kindled with the surrounding air, the soldier burnt within a couple of seconds till no trace of him was left except scorching black soot on the floor of where he stood.
This alarmed the remaining 5 soldiers which caused them to be extremely angry. "Somebody dare attack the soldiers of the great Air nation" one of the five soldiers spoke with fierceness in his tone.
Then the five of them arranged themselves, as they floated to a 3 to 2 formation, then they spun their rods simultaneously, as they drew air to themselves.
They started to draw all the wind elements to themselves to suffocate any other living creature within sight.
Dice instinctively started to hold his throat as the air started to decrease around him.
The air element surged around the five soldiers, making them look like floating angels shinning in ethereal form, all of a sudden another ball of light flashed and fell on the soldiers, and because of the abundant air element around them, they became ashes in an instant, not giving room for them to escape.
Dice then calmed down as he regained his breath, then he looked at the final trace of the crimson red flame as it disappeared into thin air and he came to a conclusion that terrified him "God fire" he said out in shock.
