Episode 6
Annoying sister bullies again
Becca is at home, in the sitting room, watching a romantic movie on Tv. She was so engrossed in it that she didn't see her mother, Tabitha come in.
Tabitha: Rebecca, how are you?
Becca: Oh I'm fine, mom. Good evening. Welcome.
Tabitha: Thanks dear. (goes into the house.)
Becca: She didn't even ask if I ate or how my day in school went.
Lizzy: (overhears her)How are you, contains everything, dummy
Becca: I wasn't talking to you.
There's a difference between soliloquizing and conversation, Lizzy
Lizzy: Whatever. Just know that mom is busy and doesn't bother about little things like you.
Becca: Did you just call me little thing? Are you trying to say I'm not important?!(Raises her voice.)
Lizzy: Didn't say anything, you said it yourself.(smirks)
Tabitha: (enters) What is going on here? Why the ruckus?
Becca: Mom, it's Lizzy again. She said I'm not important for you to bother about.
Tabitha: Lizzy! Why would you say such a thing?
Lizzy: I didn't say such a thing, mom. You know Becca, she always misinterpretes things. It's just a sibling argument, nothing to worry about.(Walks up to Becca and hugs her.) Baby sister with her baby sense.
(Tabitha, seeing this, believes Lizzy)
Tabitha: Arguments between sisters are normal but please don't use it to disturb the peace of the house. (Walks away)
Lizzy: (quickly pushes Becca away from her) Baby sense, little thing. (walks away)
Becca: Some people get sisters and all I get is a transformed bully.
(phone rings and she picks it up)
Lucy: Hey, best📞
Lucy: Hmm. Your voice is kinda down. What happened?
Becca: Nothing much. Just the usual bullying from my annoying sister.(reluctant)
Lucy:(Not convinced) Do you sound like this? You don't usually get sad when she bullies you. Why is your voice like this?
Becca: It's nothing.
Lucy: Switch the call to video call
Becca: Why?
Lucy: (commands) Do it. (Becca switches to video call)
I said it! You aren't happy. What did she say or do?
Becca: (sober) She..she said...that..that.. I'm..I'm..I'm..not important to mom
Lucy: (hisses) Lizzy and her rubbish words. You know you are important to your mom, right? (Becca nods)
Then stop listening to rubbish your annoying sister says
Becca: Why, I'm sad is that, I kinda think it's true. Mom hardly talks to me.
Lucy: She hardly talks to Lizzy too. So what gives? She's just busy, okay.
Don't be a cry baby over it.
Becca: Alright.
So, why did you call?
Lucy: Well, I just wanna tell you to come for the music performance.
We are singing it today and launching it online. We have practiced enough.
Becca: (unyielding) We just practiced for two days.
Lucy: And we are perfect with it
Becca: Practice makes perfect, Lucy
Lucy: And too much practice makes you imperfect. Trust me babe, we are ready for it.
Becca: Alright, what's the dress code?
Lucy: Blue on yellow. Actually, you know how we practiced it, you will come out with your suprano voice and sing the first solo with your guitar. Then Kris and I enter for the chorus. Like light shines on us, because we would be there with you, but we wouldn't show first and….
Becca: Yeah, yeah, I know it all. Is it shorts we are wearing or?
Lucy: Bumshots and turtle necked shirts. Kris will wear shorts.
Becca: I don't think I have yellow bumshots (trying to make Lucy change her mind)
Lucy: C'mon you know you have all clothes in the world (Becca chuckles)
Becca: Alright, I will wear it. When is the music performance?
Lucy: (screams) Today!
Becca: I meant the time, Missy. Don't blow my ear drums.
Lucy: Oh yeah, in an hour's time
Becca: Fine by me. Have you talked to Kris?
Lucy: I sent him a text
Becca: Kk. Now hang up the phone, I'm watching a romantic movie.
Lucy: I'm not hanging up, put the phone on the couch, let's watch together
Becca: Aren't you supposed to get the studio ready for the performance? (Lizzy enters.)
Lizzy: Becca! You still haven't given me my earpod for the past few days now. I need it, give it to me!
Becca: (annoyed) I have told you it's not with me!
Lizzy: You still got the guts to deny?
Lucy: Just buy another one, Lizzy. Earpods aren't expensive.
Lizzy: Then buy for me
Lucy: How much is it?
Lizzy: Oh, so you are now trying to prove that you have more money than me?
I don't blame you though. Our family is average and middle class, while yours is in high class.
Becca: And now she has changed the topic to become intense.
I'm coming to your house soon Lucy. (hangs up the phone.) (To Lizzy) I just wish I could have a wish like that on TV and wish you outta my life.
Tabitha: (Comes in angrily) What is it again,Lizzy? Can I not rest in this house? At Least from a hard day at work!
[She has just been woken up from her Siesta by the argument between the sisters. The house isn't that big and they only have a few maids and few bodyguards.]
Lizzy: I'm sorry mom, it's just..
Tabitha: You know, you won't understand after all, you haven't earned money in your life.
Eighteen years old, you are living under my room, using a car I bought for you and claiming authority over the house and everything!
Can't you see Becca? She earns money. She is a renowned golfer and internet star, she can even buy a house if she wants to!
Get a way of earning cash on your own and trying to take care of someone or something, you would understand!
[Lizzy starts to feel blue and walks away to her room in dejection and locks the door, crying her eyes out]
Tabitha: Did I go too hard on her? I will just write a letter of apology before I go for my night shift.
