"Oh?" with a pondering expression Hoffman questioned. "Now why wouldn't you use your own place? Could it be…"
"Hoff!" Lydia raised her voice to stop him. "Fine, I get it, I'll work on it a bit"
"Hahaha finally! Go ahead and use my shop for the day, I'll go spend some time with the wife. Lock up n, all that." Hoffman capped the furnace to starve the fire before merrily exiting his shop.
"sorry about that, anyway lets get started" Reaching into her hooded cloak, Lydia took out two round stones, the size of marbles. "I have these spell passage beads, there worth a few green crystals each when empty, so you already covered them cost wise, it's the spell I store in then that will affect their value more so"
Upon seeing the beads, Alder thought of that odd thing Kyrillus had left him. Glancing to Kara with a questioning gaze she shook her head, "haven't ever used one" So I went ahead and asked. "Spell passage beads? I'm sort of unfamiliar with them, could you give me a quick rundown?"
"No problem, to be fair, if you aren't super rich or don't have a strong backer, they become much less useful. They allow a rune master to store a spell within. Problem is, rune masters are usually piss poor at combat spells, they must have a dual affinity in order to even cast standard spells, space elemental affinity is required to engrave runes after all, and space element combat spells are expensive"
With Alder nodding to show his interest Lydia continued. "Of course, they can let someone borrow that power of a higher realm, but how would a higher realm expert benefit? That's why unless there in one's family or one's family can blow funds on a protective treasure for them, people only use them for simple tasks. I'm going to cast a spell on you that must be recharged every 10 days or so, I'm going to store a spell in these to recharge that spell"
Lydia held the spell passage beads in her hand one by one and cast a spell on each. A clear energy and white glow flashed on her palm as markings appeared on the surface of the beads. All her focus directed at casting the spell and engraving the markings to contain it, she bent forward, her cloak pulled taught from the table, displaying her well-proportioned breasts as the cloak tried to smother them. Thus, giving Alder had an even more magical view than anticipated. 'I wonder what she's like underneath the cloak? If she gets more familiar with me maybe she'd…no, if I get more familiar with her maybe I'd be able to remove that cloak myself haha.'
Finishing with the task, Lydia handed the beads to Alder "When you inject qi into the bead the runes will glow and the meaning of the spell can be decoded, these are just small stones, the bigger the more power they can store, just crush it when you want to cast the spell and let your body direct the external qi naturally, it'll do most of the work for you, just aim it"
"Thanks, I shouldn't have any issues" looking to the beauty in my lap "how long until the first of next month?"
"16 days, if the marks you get now can last you 20 it'll be fine"
"How about leaving the sect? I would have just joined after all"
"No worries, you'll test near the end of this month, by next month you'll be able to take on missions. That'll give us a chance to stop back in Dimfront"
"Great!" After giving kara a peck on the lips I returned my attention to the rune master Lydia, "how are you giving me the marks?"
"I'll engrave qi underneath your skin just like the wand, however the wand will merge the mark with your qi signature. In other words, it'll be a part of you. I'm basically just casting a light spell, with the light dimmed all the way down. Then I'll use my spatial element to direct it under a layer of your skin. Let me know exactly what you want, and I'll get started"
"alright" a peck or two later I had Kara stand and removed the top portion of my uniform. The poor rune master clearly wasn't expecting this and just as hid well defined abb's appeared she alluded that fact.
"Wait! What are you undressing for?" in a slightly flustered voice she tried stopping him.
Not pausing in his actions at all Alder thought to himself. 'Wow what a reaction! Absolutely no experience at all with men, perhaps? Now I just have to see what she's hiding underneath that cloak'
"Hu? I'm just giving you access to leave the mark, I want it on my shoulder, oh, are you going to do it through the cloth?"
