Pharai
"Remind me," I whispered as I looked up to him.
I was kicking myself for once again allowing my mind to wonder. Curiosity always got the best of me and I figured that was why I was so good in my career field. To be an Egyptologist and archaeologist you always had to ask why and here I was once again asking the very question.
I wanted to know why he was so desperate for me to remember who he was. I wanted to understand why he looked at me like I was an ancient relic.
There had to be an explanation to why he looked so far from a human and why he could not tell me. If he was able to let me see past the same dream I had been having for the past few months then he could surely do it again.
"Pharai," he looked into my eyes, "I can't."
"Why not?" I pouted, "you want me to remember and I want to understand. So let's meet each other half way."
"I have not regained what I lost yet, you'll have to give me more time."
