Esmeralda drove into the office garage and ran up to Kain's private elevator and clicked the button to the VIP lounge. The door tinged open and she ran out towards Kain's office. She walked into the office and headed into the executive suite. She walked around the suite before realizing that Kain was not inside. She immediately walked out of the office and ran back to the elevator. She clicked the button for the roof and was already tearing her way out before the door could open. She walked over to the very edge and looked around but there was no sign of him.
"Looking for someone?" she jumped on hearing the voice and turned to see Kain laughing at her. "Always jumpy." Kain added holding her before she could have jumped off the edge by mistake.
"I thought you said you needed to talk to someone and you are this happy?" Esmeralda said looking at Kain confused.
"Well, yes I did need someone to talk to me. No big deal actually, just that I went to the palace…"
